Love watching the rapid 10 minute games
My favorite speed for instructive chess
đđ»
25:05 its funny that eric is so ingrained in chess that the letters g and m next to each other always registers to him as the acronym for grandmaster, instead of "g money jr."
Haha good catch. Just a note, an acronym is a pronounceable word like SCUBA or NASA. GM is an initialism, because you just say the letters (CIA, DMV, ATM).
@@MattePurple1I love learning little bits like that
"lets play some slow instructive chess to demonstrate how you can beat lower rated players" - Eric Rosen before playing players rated ~2200
Shout out back from future!
I love the 10 minute games
Dude I love these videos you post, I watch all of them 2 hour 3 hour 5 hour 12 hour,
I'm actually waiting for your 12hr spring marathon!!! Keep It up Mr.Rosen
Love the longer time frame
Loved that Eric kept the Grab data analysis at the end for CZcams
Realy like watching vids against amateurs, it gives me understanding about my blunders when I playing chess
Same!!
Canât wait for the next marathon â€
6:05 maneuvers like this are the reason why Eric is an IM. Ideas like this wouldn't even come to mind for low rated players. Hey, let's just sac all the pieces including the queen because at the end we have a fork that gets the opponent's queen and after that we have more pawns in a pawn endgame. And he sees this in a matter of seconds. This is the kind of stuff low rated players like me need to see, to learn to think like good players
Agreed! Look at games Magnus plays, he's master at the endgame and he never trades into a losing one, watch some streams of him playing and you'll see him do it all the time.
Imagine starting with a London against Eric on your first game
This videos massages my brain
He says "I'm not playing with my food," then less than ten minutes later, he intentionally hangs a rook to try to get connect 8 with his pawns đ
I absolutely love it.
4:15 I dont think anyone noticed the hanging bishop on b5 except renka (never mind 7:40)
GM ONEY JR đđđđ
4:18 free bishop? that would be eentire rook up
*ok he mentioned later
For anyone wondering, yes, it was free bishop 7:33
Shout out to people watching this on Twitch in the past !
đ
"How to beat amateurs"
First game I skipped to: Eric plays the wayward queen
Me: "just as I suspected"
Oh dear that second player played like he's sleepwalking or smt
@12:58 I think Eric's Queen would have got trapped if he took the pawn after Ng4 Qxg7 Bf6
There's a pawn on e5, you'd just take the bishop. If Qxf6 then you can trade queens at minimum and you're up a piece and a few pawns
Kinda trippy Iâm in the future in this video
Been trying to randomly get matched with Rosen on Lichess for 4 years, Renkas1983 gets matched on game 1 :(
Shoutout to theTwitch people of the past!
Wasnt that a free bishop at 4:20?
GM oney đ
There's a potentially funny line coming up đ
Bullying amateurs, I'm here for it!
Not a single London:(
am i insane or is that not just a free bishop passed up at 4:20
1:10:00
NPLB
01:09:00 vs shart_smella... Ew.
shart smella lol
"How to Beat Amateurs at Chess"
Keep a cudgel at hand? :)
Why didnât he take the bishop? 4:19
happy belated homestuck day
Eric is such an arrogant guy..
Bxf7+. I lose to them on purpose a lot, though. Because they're better people than we are.
