One tip to add is to not let the fork stanchion (lowers) to drop too much once filled with oil. There are two holes in the stanchions and if those extend below the oil seal you'll have oil pour out the bottom and make a big mess - ask me how I know :D

Thanks for the video and great detailed explanation. I found it amusing that you specified the oil level in inches, when the bike is metric and all the specs in the manual are metric as well... 122mm! I guess SAE will take a long time to die still in America haha ;)

They have been saying since I was a kid that we are converting to the metric system but I don’t think it’ll ever happen. Thanks for watching.

How the heck did you get the retaining clip out after taking the fork cap off? I've got a ratchet strap to depress the spring a little bit but I've gone through several picks and micro flat head tips trying to get it out already.

You skipped over all of the parts that people are interested in seeing-removing the spring, separating the fork from the stanchion, etc.

Would have been more helpful if you recorded the whole thing. You cut the parts out where you remove the seal and the part where you drive the new one in. Kinda relevant…..

Thanks for the comment. I’ll have to go back and look at the original video clips and see if I have more details I can add back in. I try to keep my videos on the short side and only show the needed info but I guess I got a little over aggressive with this video and trying to keep it short. Thanks for watching.

Sorry, I was trying to keep it short and sweet. Guess I went a little bit too short.
      Thanks for watching.

Useless. You don't actually show anything worthwhile.
