What better illustration of the phrase "Greater than the sum of its parts". It almost seems impossible what you have achieved with the rudimentary basic materials and with some Sideways magic, turned it into a great diorama / show space. Yes definitely a container construction tutorial if you can please although any of the four wrapped beasties given your treatment would obviously be excellent too!

Grew up with a 1991 MK5 Escort GLX for the formative years of my life.
Mum took great pleasure in announcing that we had the GLX model, back when that was a indicative of how posh you were.
She kept the car all the way from 1994 to 2007 when the engine finally blew up.
Been looking for an unmolested one like it but there's hardly any about anymore. Amazing given how popular they once were!
Fond memories of watching them spank the WRC and rally scenes back in the day (and even to this day).

Ace stuff..... My mum had 1.1 Popular Plus Fiesta, late 80's early 90's, and spanked 105mph out of her when she was pissed with my Dad LOL.
I've always been a Ford fan having a couple of RS Turbo's, Sierra Cosworth's and an XR4i through the 90's. The last beefy Ford I had was an ST24 Mondeo about 20 years ago, still shifted and made a great noise and funnily enough my friends at the time said I was getting old having that and resting up on the Sierra's!

We had a MK1 for a couple of years as well. It was that manky yellowy beige colour that was popular back then. My mum hated how small the steering wheel was and I hated it in the summer, back windows were the old flappy type, it smelled funny and no seatbelts in the back!
Been looking at ST200 and ST220s. Guaranteed future classic. My girlfriend doesn't understand and isn't convinced even when I tell her that it'll only go up in value...

I have just bought a Hot Wheels Fiesta planning to make a WRC version of it as a starting point of this hobby (used to be a big fan of assembling the plastic models and making diaramas, but re-building something assembled is a new thing for me). So I don't know if this question is still valid, but I'd love to see a Fiesta WRC rebuild. And thanks for these tutorial series, really helped me out with most of the questions I've had.

I've got to say, you did great with the crates. I worked at a place that cleaned up and repaired crates like that, but they were a gross butt brown as opposed to the nice blue you used. Well done!

@@ficklampa I get inspiration from lots of sources too, theres lots of good railway modelling ideas that is applicable to alot of this stuff. I've been modelling noe for over 30 years and during that time I've done these garages in 1/24th scale and even 1/10th RC scale..... so I thought why not :)
@@SidewaysKing75 Yeah, for sure! The techniques still apply even if it is a different theme as you know. I hang out on some communities for Gunpla and there seem to be a lot of beginners that don't know where to look. So I usually recommend them to check out scale modeling in general, a lot of tank, train, car builders that use the same material to make cool stuff. I assume you've seen Adam Savage's videos on scratch building with styrene? They are pretty great! I like to share those as examples, but I'll keep this video (and your styrene diaries) videos in mind as well for it.

HW did a ken block version of the fiesta, I think it was a first edition. so my vote would go to either the Mk2 or the Mk4 escort. :)
curiously enough, back when the mustang was in the works I saw large ad posters here in germany where they showed the construction details within an explosion schemata of the 4WD mustang, and I wondered who would go to that length...a while later I found out. XD thus, a hardtop mustang '65 or 66 would be possible, too.

@@SidewaysKing75 at your service. judging from the poster artwork all that was left untouched was maybe the main body shell. XD especially the drivetrain was reworked and changed completely; it is now a 4WD, after all. ^^
