- Hi Everyone. I love trying out new things and playing around with different materials in my resin to see what sort of results you can achieve. I think the results of this are excellent and can be used in so many different resin projects.

I like both effects but the one with the mica powder brushed on wins!
“Delicately tap that off”
*slams it on the table multiple times* 🤣
Love this technique. I think transparent is my favorite.
Just as I thought, "Delicate?!" He wacked it a few more times faster!
Delicately… BAM BAM BAM 🤣🤣🤣 Steve, you crack me up!!!
Your so funny! I love you! You always make me smile! Your imagination is genius.
Since there's so much glare from inside light, can you show the finished projects outside under natural light.. we are unable to see both due to a glare.
I liked both of them. But I do prefer the one with you brush mica powder on it. Super cool!!! 💕
That’s very pretty. So many ideas… thanks for the inspiration
I love the transparent one that you brushed the mica powder on. Colors are prettier to me.
Great loved the transparent back and loved the plastic look tyfs Steve😁❤👏🏾
Both are lovely.... I do a lot with brushed powder, so it would definitely depend on what I'm using it for.
Ringy-dingy ringy-dingy🎶🎶📽📽🦋🦋
Pouring you heart out did something like this but she made a crinkle silicone mold. same beautiful effects.
I like the one with the mica powder brushed on.
I like the transparent coaster.
That red is luscious!
Another great effect that's right up my street. Thank you Steve. 👍
I came across this technique on my own, quite by accident. I covered a cheeseboard that I was working on with some cling wrap. When it dried, it had ripples. I didn’t mind because I was doing a Koi pond, so it worked out!
Lovely! I like the transparent one best.
Ooh they look rather lush don't they! Very nice effect.
Thank you for sharing you’re creative techniques! There are so many, many, many resin artists in the world and most of them seem pretty similar, I’m constantly looking for unusual techniques or trying different things because I don’t want my work to be similar or to be one of those artists doing what everyone else is doing! I love being different and offering what no one else offers! Most of my work ends up being charity work I just love what I do and making people smile hopefully one day I’ll be able to make a living at it 😂
I watch Postive Couple they are Russin I found steve via them they do such eye openers pieces I watch with my mouth open going wow
you sould put some light blue in there to make it look like and ice coaster :)
I can't decide! I love them both!💖
Great technique ! I always love how “delicate” you brush off the mica powders! Thank you for sharing!
Brilliant idea! They look great ❤️I like both. Thanks for sharing x
I love that you show us all the successes and flaws of your efforts. I appreciate even more, that even though you’re colorblind, you aren’t afraid to play with all the colors that you find beautiful. I wish everyone saw the world, and all it’s differences the way you do. Such an amazing, and limitless world of possibilities! To be fearless and all encompassing, in a world caught up in fear of questioning everything, and anything at all. You are one bright light in the dark, and I hope you reach the masses, and that love and compassion is the main focus of what you’re passing on. Even though crafts and all your tireless efforts are your platform, you are sharing compassion and the desire to help someone succeed where maybe you have not. You’re a beautiful man. All the love to you and yours my friend. ❤️
That is really cool the effect you get with the crinkled plastic! I'm definitely going to try that! My favorite is the one with the transparent back. I can see more of the red through it and there is more of a two tone effect to me. The other one looks pretty cool too.
I like this technique! Saw it once used in nailart, it was a great look! I think I will try this next, thanks for the reminder.
I actually like them both!
They are both beautiful
I love these coasters
Both r great the transparency one I like
Love the look of the painted one. I have a box to make, thinking this would be a good idea :) Thanks Steve
They look good like the effect! 😘
I think that the coaster with the painted mica has a more organic look. That's my favorite. Good technique, Steve.
Hi, I like to put the mica powder first. After that a layer of coloured epoxy. You can see this on my video's. ;)
I love both. 💙❤️
Pretty, but there's another way. After you cure the crinkle ànd resin, paint the red, or a purple is beautiful too, then a black resin back. This way the colors show through better. Just different.
Love them they both are awesome!!
Merci pour le partage, je préfère celui avec la poudre passée au pinceau, je trouve que la couleur rouge ressort plus, super la technique !...
Ye pouring your heart out done this using cling film
I love them both!
I love that technical term squidgy widgy.
These are pretty. It’s hard to choose because I like both of them.
I absolutely love these! My favorite would be the painted mica powder one. The transparency is great on that one
I love these ideas. thank you for them
I like the one with the painted on mica powder. I like the transparency of it
what a great idea I love it!
CREATIVE STEVE KEEP GOING AND CONTINUE INSPIRING US.
I have done with small pendants and such but nothing large yet. Its gorgeous! A crushed velvet type effect💞💞💞
I love these! Thanks for the ideas!
Love those!!!!
I am still learning since I started in 2020.
SWEET - thanks for sharing
Thank you ☺️
These look fab thank you x
Love them both but my favourite has to be the one with the transparent effect, it's beautiful.
Hugs x Ann x
I really like the look of the coaters I will try it play around with different colors thanks Steve
Luscious red#!
Beautiful!
The coasters are beautiful! Although both are pretty, I like the one with the painted mica powder the best.
transparent back looks far nicer... be neat to see bubble wrap pushed into the resin...
I like both options, but I think the painted method would be good with a light source behind it.
Loved both of them but painted one was my favorite ❤️ thank you for showing these techniques 👍👍👍
I prefer the transparent one. Great technique x
Thanks
Thank you so very much Steve. I'm loving your videos and have learned so much. Thanks to you, I'm going to start doing resin crafting. YOU ROCK!!!
Your so awesome. You always make me laugh
I ❤️ both TFS😊
I prefer the see through one and that red is amazing
Really beautiful, I like the transparent one best.
try brushing chameleon mica powder over the squidgy part without painting first. then pour black resin to fill. absolutely amazing crushed velvet effect.
Yeyyy, stalker status reinstalled.. I watched first as I was gonna ask u this question in the group 😆 🤣 I'm gonna use it as a wave design for a beach scene...... thanks Steve xx
I live the one with the brushed powder... Surprised me because I loved the color when you mixed it with the resin. Great job!!
Love it! The fav for me is the mica paint
Ted on. Lovely!
Love both
Can’t see a thing too much glare from lights but understand concept so will have a go thanks
Such a awesome technique!! I love the effect on both coasters! I’ll be doing this for jewelry for sure!!
What a brilliant effect. Love it
ah Steve, my darling man. How wonderful are they. I LOVE this technique, and of course, never knew about it....until now :-)
Your tutorials are always so inspiring and exceptionally helpful. Thank you young man x
Super cool!
Absolutely love this ❤️🥰🥰 awesome mind you have so great creations and I enjoy learning them, I never miss anything you post
just love these
Beautiful 😍
Very nice!!
Yet another project I'm going to have to try! I like the transparent one better, so I think that's what I'm going to do. Thanks for more inspiration!
I saw almost the exact same thing on a different creators channel - from quite a while ago. I love the technique and plan on trying it - but I have to say that it really seems you took this idea - changing it slightly without giving credit.
I like the transparent one best, I used this technique in white for the base of my beach coaster (next layer mica and alcohol inks) it gave a depth to the ocean.
If you do it with bubble wrap it could possibly maybe have a bee imbeded??
They are very cool looking! I'm going to try that for sure. Thank you.
I love this technique, definitely going to have to try this out!! Thanks for sharing Steve 👊
Love it! Fun!
YOOOOOOO those are so nice
Lovely technique I tired this sometime ago. I must try your method. I wasn’t successful. Love them both.
Could you use bubble wrap?
Steve, I personally like the transparent one the best. Cheers, Paige C.
I love, love, love both techniques. I can't wait to go downstairs and start working on these. Also; i wanted to take a moment and say thank you so much for your videos. The quality of the information you put out is spot on. Infact the is so clear and complete I am pretty sure I could leave my 11 year old grandson in my shop and be confident that he would be able to turn out a good piece of resin using your videos. Keep doing what your doing !
I like first one you made better
Love it
Brushed version suits me better
Steve, I tried this months ago but with cling film and it was a nightmare, I got it totally stuck to the resin, couldn't get it off and gave up. I might try again now with some different plastic ;-) you've inspired me to try again.
They both look great, but I have to say I prefer the mica brushed on. I tried to do this, using the excat same plastic (I recognized the edge 😁), but my plastic stuck to the resin and I couldn't peel it off at all. I ended up throwing out all the coasters I tried to make. Help, please! Would the mold release spray on the plastic work? Thank you for your great videos!
Way cool!
