Epic Wilderness Adventure: Conquering Nature's Obstacles at Burr Oak Woods! 🌲

On Oct 5, 2023 I hiked about 5.5 miles of serene and peaceful woodland trails at Burr Oak Woods in Blue Springs MO. It was a beautiful day highlighted by some fun rock scrambling and one angry squirrel. I hope you enjoy!

Another good video.
Burr Oak Woods is my go to spot for wildflower photography. I have spent many hours walking those trails photographing the flowers and I used to do wildflower photography exhibits and seminars at the nature center.
Wildlife is kind of hard to come by out there. I have seen a few deer and turkey, but my best encounter was with a bobcat in the rocky section of Bethany Falls. I was lucky enough to get a couple of pictures before it ran off.
Looking forward to the next video and maybe we will meet up on a trail sometime.

thanks! It is a great area. I'm sure way too much people activity around to have much luck with wildlife. I really love the prairie section, I'll get back there this spring when the flowers are blooming.
