IChemE Global Awards 2015 - Veeash Oomardath, Tronox KZN Sands

Over the years, Oomardath has worked on a number of high priority projects within the heavy minerals industry. His areas of expertise are electrostatic separation and pyrometallurgy. Over his career, he has developed ground-breaking processes and control philosophies and set a standard for the industry. He has won more than ten national and international innovation awards, including the South African Institute of Chemical Engineers KZN Innovation Award. He also received highly commended status at the IChemE Global Awards in 2010.
Veeash Oomardath has been shortlisted for the Young Chemical Engineer in Industry Award, sponsored by GSK.
