I may not be of your faith but this video has helped me bring it to my residents. I’m working as a activities director for a senior citizen care facility and I found this video 2 weeks ago and I used it yo help them make there own for there prayers so thank you and I do wish you good luck on your journeys
@@liambrunner3026 we may not be of the same faith but my creator doesn’t believe in hating those who haven’t wronged us. Yes our religion have collided before but that was the past it wasn’t the people I meet today. Plus it helps me learn more about other religions
Ive been a disciple of Jesus for almost 30 years now… im definitely not Catholic, but I’ve recently been going through a really rough, traumatic season of life… I can’t sleep, I can’t eat, I cant focus, most of the time I’m barely holding it together. I found my grandmothers old rosary and I made up my own set of scriptures to recite that are meaningful to me right now for each bead, then I use the decades for different things to pray about… listing 10 reasons to worship, 10 people to pray for, 10 things I need to confess, etc… Ive found that it slows me down and keeps my mind from wandering off, it helps me to breathe.. its not hard for me to pray, it’s just hard for me to pray without hyperventilating or falling into tears or just forgetting what I was even doing. I guess you wouldn’t call it praying the rosary, but a liturgy of prayer using beads has been immensely helpful for me! I can keep it in my pocket or around my neck and any time I start feeling overwhelmed by life I have a simple way to ground myself and get my heart and mind back where they belong… It’s actually a really beautiful thing ❤
That's really beautiful, anyway that a rosary can help you bring you closer to God is fantastic. I would advice trying out the prayers on the rosary that do not involve Mary, like the our father, the glory be, or the Fatima prayer. They can be really beautiful to pray and it's awesome to pray together with millions this prayer
@@jeannebouwman1970 It really wouldn't, lol. If you're not a Catholic this is highly disrespectful. You know we had religious wars for hundreds of years, right? Even recently in Ireland. I really can't believe how disrespectful you americans are, good grief.
Funny where the rabbit hole of youtube leads! I am not a Christian, but I can certainly appreciate the quiet humility of a man of faith. Twenty minutes well spent.
My Dad passed 2 years ago and he faithfully made hundreds of rosaries for the church. I wanted to make wall rosaries for my brothers but i wanted it to have meaning towards my father and his devotion and love for Our Mother Mary. I not only loved your lesson but i prayed with you and felt joy and peace. Thank you God Be With You Amen
Seguro tu padre tiene un lugar muy especial al lado de Nuestra Madre Santísima. Con cuanto Amor verá a tu padre que en vida difundió la devoción al Santo Rosario. ¡Corazón Eucarístico de Jesús, en vos confío!
I’m absolutely delighted to have come upon you, and to say a big congratulations on your ordination Fr, I’ve been saying the rosary for many many months now with “Fr Mark and Brother Malachy “ so now I know how to make rosery beads and that your a priest Fr. I’m from Ireland, so we all use beads here, maybe I’ll start up a little business 😂😂. May God bless and protect you Fr. Teresa Reeves
Dearest Father. I greatly enjoyed this video and felt your enthusiastic spirit, while you prayerfully assembled your HABIT ROSARY. I particularly liked that you explained why your habit rosary has a simple cross, instead of a crucifix. I’ve always wondered why your order’s habit rosary never has the traditional crucifix. Now I know. Thank you Father for sharing this inspiring video and blessings on your current ministry.
Thank you for sharing, I am making one for my mother in law so she can do her nightly prayers. Was hesitant but after watching your video I will make it.
Hi Father, So good to see you! I have prayed many a Holy Rosary with you snd Fr. Mark Mary! So very sad about leaving your Rosary. Your instructions were very good! Be safe and God Bless! Ave Maria!
Thank you sooooo much, you saved my rosary project! I make rosaries to give away free; I was low on supplies and found these great wooden crosses that have their holes pierced on the side like yours and I couldn't get them attached! Since I have 2 rosaries to mail off I turned to CZcams hoping to find someone who was attaching crosses like this and there you are! Mother Mary is not only the un tier of knots she helps me make new ones for her rosaries! Thanks and God bless brother 🙂
Awesome insight: *the empty Cross on the rosary means >each of us is on it... taking it up with Jesus*< every day-St. Francis's challenge to us. So cool to see and learn how a rosary is made. Thank you, Fr. Malachy.... especially, too, for your vocation of prayer and service to others.
Father Malachy! What a wonderful surprise. I always say a rosary for you on a Saturday so it was great for you to suddenly appear on my CZcams feed today. Thanks for your rosary making instructions. God bless you, your work and the Franciscan Friars of the Renewal.
This was such a beautiful video! Thank you for making it. Oh, and I love how CFRs are as insecure about the size of their rosaries as many other men are about the size of their trucks. Lol. Love your community!
Praise God! So great to see Fr. Malachy 🙌🏻🙏🏻✨alive and well! You’ve been in our prayers...excited to watch and make a rosary! Continued prayers for your safety and your amazing vocation to love and serve!
I love this! I have been wanting to make a rosary for myself and was curious on the how-tos for length and barrel knots. You answered all my questions! Thank you!
Hi Fr Malachi, great to see you! I loved to watch this, I'll try to make Rosary. God bless you, my prayers with you. Blessing for your work in Guatemala. Greetings from Mexico. Please pray for Mexico our nation urgently 🇲🇽
I have been watching this video again and again for almost a week and a half now! I really love this video. I watch it again and again to feed something in my mind. I would really like to have one certain rosary like this. I really love it! Thanks Father Malachy!
Beautiful work Father. I thoroughly enjoyed your video. Making religious items is very therapeutic, and a wonderful way to incorporate prayer into our activities. I’ve carved a few religious pieces, and repaired some of the small statues for my church in New Orleans. I always find myself meditating on the lives of the saints as I work. God bless you, and thank you for your devotion.
May God bless you! I bought all the materials today, and happily crafted along with your video. I re-used a “crucifix” and a “centerpiece” from an old rosary that had lost a bead. I made a gorgeous rosary with white wooden 12mm beads for the “Hail Marys” and red wooden 14 mm beads for the “Our Fathers.” I used black cording, like yours. I love it because it’s the first rosary I ever made. I’m going to have it blessed, and start praying with it right away. Thank you. To Jesus, through Mary! Peace.
I make mission rosaries. Basically the same one you make! And have always wanted to make a large one like the ones you wear. Thank you for sharing that! I loved that each one of you make your own rosaries.
Thank you, Father Malachy, you have shared a wonderful gift here - I am sure this video will help many people. I pray that you are safe and well! May God bless you always (and may He help everyone to remember to wear eye protection when using power tools!). 😊🙏
I love these rosaries. I use 10 mm or bigger and I’m making one that contains all the rosary mysteries and it could be up to 5 feet long. Thank you Father Malachi. I’m so glad to see you.
Thank you Fr, my Rosary that I bought in Israel broke and I've kept the beads in a container on my home Altar till finding cord to fix it. Upon finding your video it has made it so much easier and now I would like to also make Rosaries for others. May God always bless you and our Mother Mary always cover you with her mantle.🙏🙏
This is such a cool video!!! Providing the back story of how y'all made your own Rosaries is so interesting. Very enjoyable and thank you for making this so user friendly!! Great video, thank you for posting Father Malachy Joseph!!
Thank you for this! I just wrote an online lesson for the families of our Religious Education program on how to make your own rosary with clay at home yesterday and your video popped up so I had to add it! Prayers for you all from Prague, Czech Republic.
Thank you - I also love to make rosaries and I love to see how other people make them. I think we have our special custom how to make a rosary. I specially like the way you made the cross. Very beautiful. Thank you. God bless you
Hello Fr. Malachy. Thank you so much for this video. I make rosaries using nylon cords, but this time I will also try the paracord and praying the Hail Mary altogether. I know that the time will come when the world will need these rosaries. Regards from rose, Marikina City, Philippines. ❤
Cool ! I’ve always wanted to make my own rosary ! It looks Mexican my sister Margie has colorful big beaded rosaries also ! Thanx u ! God bless y’all !
Thank you, Father. I enjoyed this. I'm considering starting to make Rosaries. BTW, the seat cut you made in the 2 pieces of the cross are called a half-lap joint. It is one of the strongest joints in the woodworking community.
Such a soothing voice. 😁 I will try this for sure . I've made a wire rosary for my dad in our county's colours... Red and green with clear Our Father and Hail Mary beads...
I have a rosary bracelet to make it a whole rosary I've got to go four times around and then 3 beats it gives me great peace I actually am in the process of learning how to make them so if the worst should happen and it should ever get broken or need a repair I could do that but I'm very grateful for this piece I'm sorry you lost yours it's nice to see you make a new one too

That's what this old lady needs--a large-print rosary.

Yes, seeds were made into beads, in India, when I was a little girl- over 50 years ago.
