What I‘ve noticed is that all the pants that didn’t look good on you were crazy high waisted. I feel like you have a pretty small torso, which looks a little eaten up by the extreme high rise pants.
Afterall it‘s personal preference but I think it’s the reason you didn’t like many of them on you.
