cheaper projectors from reputable brands are like as low as $500 for 720p the cheapest projectors are those mini one's which have limited range and are just designed to be a carry anywhere pocket display you can setup anywhere that are crap too you need to usually spend upwards of $1k for a projector that is descent and that does not include the drawbacks such as life span of the bulb or the fact that you need a plain smooth background (unless you want misaligned text and pictures or when part of it is hidden from your view as it is not being projected on a totally flat surface)

It would be possible, just not with these projectors.
You will need some fancy hardware to deal with a curved wall as your average consumer projector has a relatively shallow depth of field for focus.
Oh yeah, not denying that, you'd also need a projector capable of advanced keystone and edge blending!

I would rather have the walls papered with screens so that way you don't end up with having shadows on the screen if you get too close. That tech that LG (I think) showed off at CES earlier this year would be suitable even if it was a bit expensive...

But yeah the West coast is an exception to the generally understood Canadian tropes about weather.
It's not really cold here in Vancouver. You can go out during the day with just a hoodie and an additional vest is sufficient for most nights these days.

Actually, you should switch to solid angle of pixel, which takes into account the distance of your eyes from the screen. That is best way to decide whether you will see the pixels or not.

Hey Linus, take a look at some of the projectors from Barco’s rental projector lineup, we have the 20k Lumen models and they pack a punch, barco also offers lamp or laser models, and 2k or 4K models ranging from 12k-40k. Take a look and I think you’ll find them to be more useable. Also note that when you overlay multiple projectors they double the brightness.
Antony Kahil yep, the high end of projection is barco and Christie, Christie also have inbuilt software to blend the images together so you done get the hot spots on the overlaps, on that note, it’s not a double in brightness, it’s actually around the 60% increase. You want to see cool, check out Christie’s X80.

12K officially is 9 times 4k, but any resolution approx 12000 pixels wide is technically 12K, plus this is Intel's Idea of 12K.

And as long as it is in inches (which everyone everywhere is used to) it is okay, but speaking about monitor/display size in feet is not common, and if Linus is more comfortable with metric for such large "objects", then he should just use metric. Besides, when it comes to CPU temps, every tech channel, USA or not, uses Celsius nowdays.

Which as a fellow Canadian, I find a little odd for Linus to be saying, we do use both a lot in everyday life, in terms of shorter distances (longer is usually km instead of miles). Also doubt he knows how much he weighs in kilograms, we generally use pounds for that in Canada/USA.
