- Destiny 2 Season of the Deep - How The "Deepsight Harmonizer" Works To Unlock Weapon Patterns. Just a very quick video showing how the deepsight harmonizer works. These are only available from the season pass - 3 from the free track, 3 from the paid track (6 total). You simply apply this to the weapon you want, and you can then extract the pattern progress from it. Just like normal deepsight weapons. I was on 4 of 5 for the weapon here, hence why the full pattern unlocked. It will only give +1 to pattern progress. Raid weapons are also the only ones to require spoils, normal weapons are without.

Red Borders are still dropping, this harmonizer just helps get you an additional guaranteed deepsight. I was so confused on how this would work until a red border for a season of the deep dropped for me that didn't require the harmonizer. Sometimes you just gotta let it show ya how it do the dew.

You can only get 6 total from season pass thats it. They aren't farmable anywhere else (according to bungie so they could change it later on)

It worked like I thought it would, another thought it would skip the other 4 patterns but it gives one progress towards deepsight
deepsight harmonizers only come from the season pass (3 from the free and 3 from paid) so 6 per season *yikes*
they better add it to legendary lost sector or high difficulty activity lootpools or something like ascendant alloys
because only 6 per season while pretty much all weapons cost 5 is not good

this works for me because unlike you freaks i dont see some craven compulsion to craft every one of the hundreds of worthless craftable weapons. just a very few that i actually want. besides the time sink of leveling each alone makes that a non starter. i dont have time to level more than a few. but i get pve players like to numb their brains.

I don't HAVE the weapons I actually want. You need 5 patterns to craft a weapon, you only get 6 harmonizers PER SEASON and only 3 if you don't have the full pass. Do you not see why some people are annoyed? If you like getting served shit on a plate then good for you, some of us don't. And why are you insulting pve players in a mainly pve focused game?
And you need spoils of conquest for raid weapons
Very cool and interesting concept. Could definitely see more of these pop up as a farmable item outside the Season Pass, especially when the Deepsight weapons are from a difficult dungeon or raid (i.e. Duality for the fusion rifle and machine gun).
Let Bungie cook this for a little longer in the future. Consider this as a trial run.

I still don't understand this new system, if I use the deepsight harmonizer on 1 weapon, do I still need to use another deepsight harmonizer on the same weapon to progress the print?
I thought these were going to work way differently. I thought they would unlock the pattern for the weapon, seeing how we’re only given so few. This is basically another item to use to unlock progress towards a pattern when it doesn’t have a red border, yet you still need to grind for that weapon to drop multiple times.
So I put it on my retrofit escapade for no reason? 😢

So it only gives you one deepsight per that weapon or does it completely unlock that weapon? Like do I need to find more red boarders of the weapon im after or does one harmonizer unlock it?
if i use it on a weapon with 1/5 progress will it only bump it to 2/5? or will it unlock the pattern straight up?
I recommend using these on old weapons for witch queen that you didn’t get so when banshee sells them you can put them on and progress them
that's basically what i've been doing. every time banshee sells a craftable weapon, i buy however many i need for the pattern then just store them assuming we'll eventually get more than 6 per season
This item should be available in Master and Grandmaster strikes rewards, not only in the season pass. It's stingy as hell from Bungie to only give us 3 (6), but I guess they want to monetize it, so expect bundles containing it requiring silver.
Ed: I understand it's a business but c'mon, the grind of deepsight weapons is hard.
Agreed. I did total of 6 hours over 2 days of that Kali boss farm cheese and only got 1 full pattern unlock of a weapon I didn’t need. Yet all the other weapons are sitting at 2-3/5 weapon patterns. Shit is mind numbingly grindy to get these damn patterns

HUGE help please. I had a Mykel's Sidearm in my vault. I need only 1 pattern to unlock it for crafting. While it was in my vault, I used my Deepsight harmonizer on it, extracted the pattern, it showed pattern progress, but it DID NOT give me credit for the progress. The
Deepsight socket is no longer on the sidearm and I lost my harmonizer, and it also used my Spoils of Conquest too.
Does the weapon have to be on your person??
I have a burning question that you may have make obvious but I just want to be safe when using these. Does the deepsight harmonizer unlock the whole pattern for crafting or only make x weapon a red boarder thus needing 4 more red borders?
Deep sight harmonizer can only be applied to one weapon at a time and it essentially turns the weapon into a red border. If you have five ikelos smg that aren’t red border, you can apply one deep sight harmonizer to each of them. Then you’ll have the five patterns for that one gun to be able to craft.

It wasn't explained at all, but you're gonna get 6 patterns per season. THANK YOU BUNGIE... So, if you have a weapon that is only 1 of 5 you need 4 of these harmonizers and 4 of that weapon to unlock the weapon crafting pattern. Because you can't use a harmonizer on the same weapon more than once plus you need enough Seeds of Conquest for each red border weapon pattern.
Only six patterns if you have six weapons at 4/5 progress. You can only obtain a total of six of these (all from the season pass). That would be enough to progress one weapon completely and have a remaining one. These are not farmable in any way.
So let me see if I understand this correctly: I want the pattern for the CALUS Mini-Tool as I really want an Incandescent roll, but have 0 pattern progress. I have 2 Mini-Tools in my vault. So to get the pattern unlocked I would need to buy 3 more Mini-Tools from Banshee, and spent 5 of the 6 Deepsight Harmonizers?

1 of the 5 unfortunately. Seems you can only get 6 pattern progression per season. Video creator commented that they were on 4/5 during this clip.

@@Redzun thats the problem with destiny players, if anything comes out they demand they must have all of it. The idea of anything rare in destiny is completely impossible because of the entitled community. That MUST have EVERY 5/5 crafted roll ever created. They are already complaining "only 6, oh no, this cannot stand, i need 10,000!". Eventually Bungie will give you 5,000 for doing a public event.

It works for any weapon that's craftable.

@@SaruwatariShohei3 if you're doing it on a raid weapon it has to be a weapon from a raid encounter. Ones from the chest at the end can't have the deepsight applied.

So I only got two beloved neither were red border, so can I just buy 5 of them from Xur? or banshee and apply this and I can craft it?
no u need a harmonizer for each individual pattern
No. A Harmonizer can only be used once per weapon. If the weapon has already had a deesight on it, a Harmonizer cannot be used. If Xur sells a Beloved, you could in theory purchase three more from him and use a Harmonizer on each one to obtain the pattern.
So let me ask, if I get 5 patterns, then what? Take it to mars and craft my weapon and put the perks I want on it and go have fun or am I missing something? Sorry new to the game and have no idea what patterns are lol

From what i've heard it only makes that specific weapon a red border. So you only get 1 pattern progress, not the whole pattern.
You only get 1 progress. You would need to use 5 (on 5 different versions) to obtain a full pattern for a single gun.

I just finished Deep Crypt Raid and I got 2 connmemoration machinegun with red border (One by boss, and another by buying it), but in those 2 it didnt show any ranure to use the Harmonizer

Only 1/5 progress. So, if your weapon is already at 4/5, using this will unlock the pattern.
1 harmonizer gets you part of the weapon pattern, so you need to get 5 harmonizers to get the full pattern

You need 5 patterns for most guns. And dont waste deepsight res on bxr. just keep opening the chests in xurs treasure hoard and you pop a ton of red border weapons including bxr and dont have to waste it. Only use them on weapons that dont drop with red borders or are really hard to farm

You can get three of these from the free track on the season pass, the other three are on the paid track. Keep in mind it still requires 5 patterns for a craftable pattern..
im not speaking about this season (which most guns are really dissapointing, Reissued and Reskinned) im talking about a past season, I didn't bought season of the seraph, and i have 5 Fire and Forget sitting in my vault from weeks ago, but what worries me is that in the pattern collections it says that it requires the S19 pass although you can't buy the season or WQ deluxe in no possible way

you can only do one weapon once, if it already had a deepsight then you cannot do it for that weapon.

@@cryengine_x it was in the twab, hypothetically if you have 5 drangs that had no deepsight on any of them, you can equip deepsight onto them and then get it craftable. If 3 of the 5 had a deepsight then the remaining 2 can be deepsighted

That has 0/5 progress
If I use a harmonizer does it fully grant 5/5 and unlock it to craft or does it just grant 1/5 progress meaning I need 4 more harmonizer ??

If you want your crafted weapons just farm for them like everyone lmao, this is just to help you get the last one or if you missed a pattern from a previous season...
you cant farm for season of the risen,haunted or plunder weapons. the only way to get them right now is gunsmith and xur can sell them. ikelos weapons CAN drop but are incredibly rare.

If using the Deepsight on Raid Weapons costs us spoils then we need much more spoils to drop. Spoils should drop like candy to us. Once again another currency Bungie is starving us because they want the grind process to be as abysmal and tedious. Nobody likes to spoil farm. Whatever is the newest raid should give us 10 per encounter, and 5 per encounter for older raids.
you can put deepsight on a older version as well, i confirmed it worked on my ikelos 1.2 abd 1.0 shotty

It works on any weapon that is craftable and you need patterns for. I’m gonna use it on the other end (the void sword from dares since that only requires 1 pattern)
