- Rooks and Carebears: it's time for the Incursion video. VidBr 5 tells the story of Rnk's experiences with the Sansha, including the first (and perhaps only) full fleet battle in an Uruboros mothership site, and the rise and fall of the LS Incursion scene.

the criteria and definitions for acknowledging valor are often blurred with what differentiates bravery & stupidity. for me, the R&K ethos they call 'Lionlope' a take on combined dynamics, reactivity and power is more akin to a dozer/squirrel. this is my fave video produced by Alazais because it stays with the dozer'esque potency of counter entropy. conversely, pipebombing is a gloopy pervasive mess that gets the job done while leaving everyone including the fusileers dissatisfied. only a moron defiantly yields potency.

As one of the two kronos pilots id just like to say we were basically rail fit for pve, got there, found you guys already set up inside the site. So out of boredom we gave you a fight.

2020 Coronavirus lock down, watching the great videos of RnKs.
One simply does not ganks Rooks and Kings.
Being in the CFC for over a year and now being in the HBC, I often found people pointing structures with some actually believing they could warp off but this was something else, I almost cried hearing that you guys were pointing one as you thought it might actually be able to warp off. You guys are killing me, thanks!
PvPing and PvEing is generally easy to get into and do. Harder PvP and PvE like fleetfights and incursions take a good group of people to succeed. To do them at the same time, is beyond what I'd ever see as possible in this game. Hats off to RnK here, these guys are legends.

Best fight I was ever involved in. So glad it was recorded. Still in awe of Mesh's skills shown here (Whose footage is used), managing two guardians at once in this fight and anchoring all the Guardians.

Stunning video; a great story and narrative. I was enjoying the PvE aspect which is so rare in EVE then the added twist of an enemy fleet just tipped this video onto the scale of epic. But most importantly - at least to me - is that there is absolutely zero smug or elite PvP peacocking involved. Class act in every way guys.

17:20 desribes logis so well.
Nobody says anything or sees anything, maybe a small broadcast happened.
Yet if you Look closely in the bottom left corner you see him lock up a half shield BS. He must have heard he got locked up. Half a second later, the BS is below half armor, but survived because 4 reps were suddenly on him.
You don't see how much logis do, how much they see. You only see your dps and suddenly you are half dead. But some logi saved your life. Just quickly helped him, then went to the next one. Being logi needs a shitload of awareness and Speed.

My first foray into Nulsec was a month after starting Eve, and my lowsec system was home to RnK.
Jesus fucking christ, it was a lube-free fast-track introduction to nulsec, unmatched anywhere else in Eve since I started playing in 2011.
Thank you RnK, the rest of Eve, after you, felt like a few levels down in difficulty.

This is one of the most intense eve vids ive ever seen, i've never before declared outloud 'oh lawd look at that damage!' till now.
Your logistic pilot feed, was... amazing, i doubt very few other people in EVE could be running the toughest PVE experience AND survived being dropped by a hostile fleet intact.

In highsec, you can still find fleets running incursions. Shield fleets tend to be more numerous but more bling demanding, I think. I personnally run with armor fleets and they'll tell you what types of fits are needed. I started with a T2 apoc so most people should be fine. The pay is still pretty good, 9-10mil every 7-8 minutes with a good fleet.
Part of me wonders if this is still true in 2023.

Nice vid again. Especially the comment at the end about the changes to incursions. Unfortunately, they were changes that came too late. Many people who got started in incursions while they still were not high profit, and were high risk ended up leaving once fleets became elitist rich fits. The changes for me were very attractive, but still havent gotten around to returning.

No this is not a mistake. Each guardian feeding at least one other guardian makes a cap chain and allows the guardians to be cap stable while able to run the reps therefore more rep is able to stay on the field instead of having to fight a cap battle during the fight.

ISN rocks and is a great place to run high sec incursions - but keep in mind that ISN didn't even exist yet at the time of that fight :)

It the fleet window (when in a fleet), just select the tab 'History' it'll show fleet broadcasts there. you can select/deselect to see different types of broadcast in top left of fleet window > broadcast settings.
Incursions introduction did what it was intended to do, get high sec pve players the skills needed to move to 0.0 and learn fleet battle mechanics.
This was what CCP intended.
I salute you. That discipline shown here is something I see go down the drain elsewhere. o7

Whever I feel fed up with eve I watch a RnK video .... then I instantly remember just what a great game this is, grab a ship and go roam hostile space
its fascinating to get such insight into human psychology (that's what most of these tricks are, fitting ships meant to be shield-tanked with armor-tanks and not going into triage with triage pilots etc ^^, ). Beautiful to watch.

Broadcasts. Ship that needs shields broadcasts for shields, logi locks him up and reps. Same for armor and capacitor.
At least one of the pilots frapsing this had the enemy fleet set to red, seems like they would be known to RnK.
