This episode tells the story of a fight in Notoras from January 2011.

Eve cannot begin until a corporation sets aside their social inanities, bro-texting, or enshrining-ISK, etc. Eve comes alive when teams pursue the diligent application of relevant information through well-rehearsed fleet mischief. That is why RnK's youtube videos may well remain definitive.

One of the best Eve battle videos I have ever seen, if not the best.
those heavy pulses sounds should NEVER have been taken out of the game.
they gimped so many weapon visuals and sounds, downright criminal. Blasters looked amazing and railguns sounded amazing too. Pulses and beams were glorious as well. what a shame.
other than heavy blasters the newer sound effects arent as cool. Heavy blasters are mean though :)

i`ve never watched an EvE battle before, mostly because all you see is user interface windows every where that was an epic battle and its nice to see battle up close.
You are showing people the way eve is meant to be played. Great use of tactics! Would love to fly in a group like that any day!

I agree with Fedithan. As someone who doesn't play EVE but thinks it's beautiful it is nice to be able to see what it's like for long-term members. With the excellent story-telling and production values of this series of videos I wonder how many other viewers are non-players too. And as a non-player, I'd love to know how you afford to purchase and maintain such fleets in the first place. Would you consider doing a background video on this?
Watching these videos, I realize how intense faction wars can really get. I just started Eve over a month ago, recently got into my Raven and learned the hard way the rules of engagement via classes of ships and which could do what damage. Fortunately, I didn't let this stagger my cause, and now, I'm working towards many things that will make me a viable asset on the field. Whatever I may be piloting, I hope to one day don a memory of a battle as destructive and amazing as this.

Its also worth noting, to add to Hobbesrs points, that enemy fleets will often primary the guardians if they cannot kill the DPS.
If you were fighting against this fleet in eve, (the Rooks and Kings fleet), your best bet would be to either jam or kill the guardians.
They field 9, and be it 5/1 or 4/2 fit, you're still pushing 36 large remote reps. You engage a guardian, you ave the potential of eliminating 4 or 5 of those reps instantly.
Thats why you mostly see guardians being repaired.

I can't wait to get into my big logi ship for the first time. Watching this just makes me want to be able to fly it sooner.
The enemy here lacked webs for the primary, this cost them the entire fight, you can't expect to kill a guardian without webs.
Not quiet, the Gaurdian's heal themselves as well as the DPS. They only give the dps cap if the the DPS calls for it, otherwise the Gaurdians are capping eachother permanently so they can run the reps.
Anyone else notice the ECCM burn out at 18:00? Even the pros make mistakes!

my first t3 fleet with RnK :) you never forget your first time.
No kidding, the enemy fleet split dps like crazy, from his watch list alone which didn't include his entire side I sometimes saw at least three guys getting hit. The FC of the enemy fleet didn't know what he was doing.

Arcana is the artist. Diadema is the song that's most often used by R&K and probably the one people like most.

There is that as well. Any number of thing could have affected the fight, but given what both fleets had, the FCON/MH fleet were just out played.
I hope my alliance never fights R&K with malicious intent. For my alliance has R&K's videos to thank for my interest in being a Logi pilot, and I have all the respect in the world for them based off their videos.

Same, I became a logi pilot because of R&K.
This battle was won because of immyl coming back. if they killed her or she kept going into space, Ithink you wouldn't have been able to save the guardian "dirty" that was dying. and it wouldof all went down from there. GREAT VIDEO! btw

they fit eccm and sometimes remote eccm to boost signal strength massivly, it would be impossible to jam out a significant amount of the reps at once. unless ofc they had like 50 ecm boats
ECM Bombs then ? Are they a viable option ? Never really used them except as GTFO-lastditch for when FC-ing from a cloaky and being caught on a gate.

@WyvernFalken No. it is still around in Incarna; If not even more effects. I would check your settings (assuming you havent done so already). If that doesnt work then ur graphics card can't handle it.
That's simply a ridiculous number of logistics for the size of your gang. Especially considering the resists on the T3s. That logistics ratio is almost as bad as a 20 man fleet bring 5 falcons.

I'm still kind of a newb at fleet PVP and PVP in overall, but from what I understand, the role of the Guardians was to heal themselves together while giving cap to DPS ships? Because I only saw Guardians being targeted through the video. Thanks.

Your kidding right. You can never have to much logi or to many falcons in almost any situation.
It's funny how similar this strategy is to the strategy in most MMORPG PvP, really. Always focus the "healer."
