I personally dislike floating tremolos so I tend to add between 3-5 springs in the back and screw the two trem claw screws as far into the body as I can, this keeps the tremolo flat to the body even when all 6 strings are tuned up to pitch. Hope this helps!

When measuring your action did you put a capo on first fret ?

Thanks for your comment. No, I don't use a capo at all when adjusting action, however I do use a capo at the first fret when checking the truss rod adjustment.
