Just got this for my birthday a few days ago. I love this figure. Michael Keaton is my favorite Batman and the Batman I grew up with.

I prefer Christian Bale that’s just my opinion but if u think it’s Micheal Keaton the it’s Micheal Keaton but yeah because definitely excels in figures like these
We've yet to see the definitive portrayal of the character. Both Bale and Keaton killed...the comics would like to have a word. Bale actually has the highest body count when he murdered all the league of shadow trainees when he refused to kill the thief(irony?).

On the grapple line, the little black nob on the end. Its suppose to be treaded thru the eyelet from opisite direction and the little black plug is pulled down to the eyelet to secure it. That way you dont need to tie it
I still have mine and he's still amazing. NECA really nailed it to the T. It's one of my favorite Batman figures.
I've been collecting Neca for over a year now, 60ish figures, and I just found this Batman at Walmart... I was blown away. First 1/4 I've ever seen in person, and he is amaaazing.

One thing that Tim Burton NEVER gets credit for is Batman´s origin. This was his first movie (not counting the Adam West one) yet he didn´t start from the beginning explaining Batman´s origin. He´s already in his costume doing his thing in Gotham. It was reveal much later on in the movie how Bruce Wayne became Batman and it was briefly done.
Except Burton totally botched his origin because the Joker never killed Bruce's parents. Burton pulled that idea out of his butt.

This figure is an absolute work of art in terms of how well they captured the build and overall construction of the real suit. My only real qualms with it are that his head seems to be a bit too big (just about as wide as his torso) and seems to pop off a bit too easily, and that they didn't include his Gauntlet gadget from the museum escape.

I have the original release and love it . I have it posed with the Cape out and the difference is I have the handles going into his hand from the top and I have the arms bent . Just a piece of advice I recommend a stand because any sound of air in the room and he will fall over .

My cape was also inside out so thanks for the heads up about that and the easy fix. The knees looked bowed but a bit of twisting and rotating the feet fixed that. I find the feet fold up too easily when posing with the weight forward which is annoying. I love that the body armour is exactly like it was in the film, a rubber cast over the body suit. The pockmarked skin doesn't bother me too much. The batarang has one wing that keeps wanting to pop off when rotated and might need some sanding. I also cannot separate the grapnel gun sadly. Overall though I love this thing and it's taken pride of place on my computer desk next to my NECA RoboCop.

i managed to separate the bat grapple. turns out the stem it pegs into is waaayyyy too long and thick i imagine it was supposed to cut but wasnt. also mine came with the cape on wrong as well

Yes, I watch your videos. Great content. Still, what would be the recommended way to remove the mask from the figure. Have you tried it? It would be a cool pose with Keaton Head on the body while holding the mask.
How do you remove the cowl?
Got mine the other day and I have the same issue with the grapple gun. The cape was also packaged inside out like yours. And mine has some excess definition paint in his facial lines and some of that stubble pockmarking. Aaaaand I think it's a little bow-legged, possibly due to the twisty ties. Sounds like a lot wrong but I must say I really like it overall. Amazing presence. The wings out pose is a must. I never wanted to risk it with the Hot Toys but I'm definitely going with it here.

I just picked this up today from a local collectables shop and it's not just yours that the grapnel gun doesn't separate, mine is that way too. mine also doesn't have the holes in the cape to put the rods.
Penguin is to scale, Devito is just a lot shorter than people realize.
I have the first release of this figure and the grapnel gun and spear seperate and fit on the belt perfectly.

It's weird that the grapple differs from the original. I actually heated mine up to split the parts in two like the original. It has a bit of plastic damage but it actually works.

Is the cowl supposed to be hard and not rubbery? The mask looks asymmetrical and warped but I think that I'd actually accurate. I respect that they went for movie accuracy and replicated the actual prop.

This is very weird. Yours has a visible shoulder joint that can raise his arms to the side. Mine doesn't have that joint, it can only raise the arms forward. (Yes, mine is official bought at Gamestop.) Only the other hand the cape was installed correctly and most importantly there's no pock marks on mine. Btw, the grappling gun does come apart with heat, strong pulling and a little fixing up.

Anyone else having trouble switching the hands out? Mine will not budge. What is the trick?
Maybe it’s just me, but the head/cowl gap is a bit off putting. It looks like his head is detached or floating. That’s the only problem I have with this figure. Friends have pointed out that it detracts from the awesome sculpt but in a weird way. I would have to agree.

No it should just be you have to rotate the hand while pulling it from the socket, are you having issues with yours Donnel? maybe try heating the arm in hot water or use a hairdryer to loosen of the plastic, maybe you've got some paint built up on the peg too preventing it from coming out? thanks for checking out the video Donnel, btw wanted to ask you, are you able to see all my new videos showing up in your subscription feed? have heard from a couple of viewers they aren't seeing the newer ones popping up?

I don't think he's crosseyed as such - the problem is that the inner whites of his eyes are usually totally in shadow whilst the outer whites are lit and more visible.

@@williampattison8903 Hi William its great to hear from you again, Yeah I wanted to reach out to you guys that subscribed to the channel a while ago as I've been hearing from a lot of other viewers that they either aren't getting notified when new videos go up OR they thought I stopped making videos years ago, I guess the Notifications with CZcams are a bit broken, but I've heard that you can fix that glitch by turning on the bell or if that doesn't work you can actually unsub to the channel then sub again and it then will let you turn on the bell and you should see all the videos popping up again, its a shame really that it can't just be a case that if you subscribe thats all you need to see when new videos are posted but right now its not the case.

The figure next to Catwoman and Penguin look awful. It really discourages me from buying all three because they look terrible next to each other with that awful scaling.

As much as I love the Keaton Batman, this figures head sculpt looks awful . Just like a bad art students attempt. From the vid it looks like he’s cross-eyed, the lips are almost caricature like and over done and that skin texture is an eye sore. They really should have updated this . Plus the cowl really is annoying as it’s doing the same thing as the 6 inch one…the scallops don’t sit close to the body. A missed opportunity to fix glaring errors.
