    I'm on this topic now. The quote I received directly in Rüsselsheim from Opel is 700€ in 2024. Thanks for your video !!!

    Thank you for making this video, it is very in depth but explained in a manner you can easily understand, brilliant. Also audio is very clear and no stupid music. Thanks again 😊

    Thanks, another great video. Other videos I've looked at on this subject tend to gloss over the detail of having to jack the engine up and down to get the long bolts out. You demonstrate exactly what needs to be done.

    Brilliant video, very informative and helpful.
    My sons 1.2 Corsa C Twinport recently had a shredded fanbelt/serpentine belt caused by a failed tensioner that exploded but luckily hasnt seemed to cause any other damage.
    Have watched a few CZcams videos and yours is the best so far.

      You're welcome! The part numbers for the belt and tensioner are in the video's description. For the actual tools please go through the video, as I've described each tool and bit size the first time I needed to use it and I don't recall the full list from the top of my head.

    Great video! One question, I have a 2011 corsa with 1.2 XER engine and I would ask to you if tightening torques for the engine mount are the same as the 1.4 engine? Thanks!

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  Před rokem +1

      Hello! Yes, the tightening torques and angles for both mounts are the same for the 1.2 and 1.4 engines (as per the Haynes manual).

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  Před 22 dny

      If you have exactly the same engine (A14XER) then yes, the same procedure applies.

    thanks

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  Před 2 měsíci +1

      When the AC turns on, its clutch engages and places further resistance on the belt. It's best to check with a local mechanic, but keep in mind that it's normal for an AC compressor that's engaged to make noise (up to a certain limit).

    • @GamingMate
      @GamingMate Před 2 měsíci

      @@TheMissingBolthey thanks for the reply..the mechanic do it 2 times when got noice 2023 but same problem not fixed wasted 500€ i think 😢 still in problem... i changed my self belt but nothing happened same noice when i drive 2nd gear it's coming noice ...some times engine turn off when i trying to stop color light 🚨...but it's every problem coming only when I turn on AC 😢😢

    When it has to be changed? I mean, how often it changes? Every 5 years, 8 years, every "X" kilometers? Thanxs.

      @@FURY1958 Maybe just a little mean, mea culpa for that 😀 But I do put in the effort to give the recommended parts changing intervals at the beginning of almost all videos and questions similar to yours tell me that few people actually take their time to watch even those first few minutes 😔

    How do you remove the alternater itself please?

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  Před 7 měsíci

      I don't know what engine you have, so I can't give you the exact details unfortunately. I'll make a video about how to change the alternator if mine ever fails, but so far it's still going strong. I found some technical documentation online which might help: workshop-manuals.com/vauxhall/corsa-d/j__engine_and_engine_aggregates/engine_electrics/alternator/repair_instructions/alternator_remove_and_install/

    Sunt problematice corsele astea la sistemul de racire, pompa de apa nu tine mai mult de max 90-100k si cea originala din fabrica, flansa distribuitoare de lichid de racire de pe chiuloasa este de plastic si crapa plus garnitura de la ea se intareste si pierzi antigel pe acolo , capacul vasului de expansiune cedeaza, nu mai tine presiunea pana la 1.4bari, vas de expansiune cedeaza si el pe dedesubt, furtunele de apa cedeaza si ele, pur si simplu se dezintegreaza pe interior, cu asta ma confrunt la un opel corsa d din 2012 pe benzina😢

    • @TheMissingBolt
      @TheMissingBolt  Před 11 měsíci

      Eu o monitorizez pe a noastra lunar, mai ales pe partea de pierderi de fluide. Am ajuns pe la 122K km acum si inca nu am vreo problema pe partea de circuit de racire. Dar probabil ca undeva la anul o sa ma apuc sa schimb niste componente preventiv, inclusiv pompa de apa si termostatul.
