- Thanks for watching ;)
Drove up to LA with Jesus and Jay for this one. The last time I saw Julie was in Santa Ana @ La Santa. → Video of that here: • Real House Shows in So... It's amazing to see how much their audience has grown, and their sound continues to blow my mind. go stupid. go crazy.
Audio recorded on a Tascam DR-40x. Shoutout to Jesus for asking Alex if I could record their set (blue long sleeve guy in the front sipping from a white cup most of the set [but also going stupid and crazy]).
Special thanks to @Kain128 for time stamping the songs in the comments :)
Check out TheCrazyN00b2's video for a different angle here: • julie - through your w...

One thing I can’t get used to is people recording a show with their phone. Don’t you want to absorb the music? You know, let feelings take over.
There definitely is a generational thing with how we interpret euphoric experiences. I think people just want to share that experience with their family/friends. Once, I filmed like 3 songs on my phone at a Mild High Club set because I really wanted to share with my gf who couldn't make it. But I agree with you, sometimes I just like to focus on the music and take it in.
there’s been several shows i went to where i got way too drunk and can barely remember the sets, so it’s nice to have recordings so i can look back and remember the show
Shut your angry bird lookin ass up
i think it’s okay to record a few, or like your favorite song, but going to a show and recording the WHOLE set is something a lot of people do which is weird
@@Daevaed but in this generation, if you have phones all over your face then you basically got a big band in front of ya.
Does anyone know the pedals they use?
all i know is keyan has a rat and alex has a that green big muff i guess not sure tho
edit: so keyan's pedalboard is pretty much all over julie's reddit rn, you can find it there!!.
idk bout alex's tho but what i know she uses is a bass green big muff, blues driver and the centura overdrive
boss blues driver
Are these lives perfomed in normal streets? Looks fun
There are many house shows like this all over Southern California nearly every weekend. Most of them are super fun until the cops show up to shut them down. I personally like house shows over bar/venue shows because they're a lot more intimate
@@Daevaed Now I wanna move to the states just because of this..
@@Janik-pwoejrur like most countries, we have our own set of problems, but the shows/music definitely make up for it and allow us to escape that for a moment 😢. I'm sure there are so many other places around the world that have cool music scenes too tho
@@Daevaed i wish there were a way to make house shows in my country lol
@@Daevaed i am seeing a lot of musical activity around California, is that like the most active state when it comes to the music/art aspect?
This is out of topic but may i know what you're recording with
I use Canon Vixia HF R800 with an off brand fisheye lens I got on Amazon. It was very hard to find a lens that matched the exact size for my camera. I also use a separate device for audio recording cuz the Vixia sounds pretty bad. But yeah I use the same camera for literally every vid. feel free to check them out :)
@@Daevaed thank you so much :) helped alot
does anyone know the pedals keyan uses?
A little russian big muff, rat, boss dd-7 delay, météore lofi reverb, oxford fuzz, a hardwire rv-7 digital reverb
What happened to flutter
Why didn’t they sing for Kit?
I think they were having trouble with the microphone that night and by that point in their set they were just focused on the instruments. Still sounded amazing in- person and the performance was great
