I think a lot of people forget that so many of the X-Men have dark pasts (trained killers, assassins, and thieves) they weren't all raised to be patient and understanding.
The old show was for kids.

Everything my intuition told me would from even clues in Episode ONE, let alone after came to pass. From Sentinels being inserted into the Heroes vs Villains clash at the end of the intro, Humans wanting to "evolve" also because they were "afraid of being left behind by the future (being replaced very much touching on real life culture), to all the CONSTANT teasing of Sentinels but as Unserious jobbers. Episode 4 sealed the deal for me and Episode 5 told me that all the wish fulfillment in the world wasn't making Cassandra Nova happen like all my friends keep trying to act like (she's this year's Mephisto in Wandavision).
It was BASTION ALL ALONG... and he brought Sinister too. HAHAHAHA *credits*

Considering all the easter eggs and how well done this is written, consider
Val Cooper = Mystique, working for Bastion. Cooper tries to take Magneto in ep 2, wild sentinel pauses when he sees Cooper during the genocide.
Its never explained in 1992 why, mystique attempts to assassinate the president AS Gambit in the episodes leading to Days of Future Past, where this is based.
Someone mentioned in 1992, when Jean reads Cable, the picture of Scott and Jean, but, Jeans hair was down, and the creator confirmed that was supposed to be a Madelyne arc.
Consider Bastions been around the entire time, SINCE saturday morning in 1992. I keep forgetting this show is a continuation and not a sequel persay.
Also, the opening lines in this 97 series, the FoH and what they say. "Hes gonna give us $10k for EACH mutant?" Who is "he?" And, they have upgraded sentinel technology. Bastion goons.
Sinister's old group from 1992, on the savage land, brain child, amphibious, etc, were seen cleaning up genosha (finding mystique? Gathering intel?)
I doubt this is an Onslaught arrangement presently, but moreso Operation Wake Up or whatever it was called.
But i will say, i think a new "Age" is coming. And a certain trump card has never been more pale. I heard somewhere in the comics the current team of xmen are actually Bastion tech, and it was a Bastion tech Gambit that died, and this leads into actual Gambit becoming horseman, Death.
Adler was never alive technically in the series either, the creator of Forges collar, that was always Mystique, he was dead at that point. And who was Mystique working for? Apocalypse. This would tie Mystique, Sinister, Bastion and Apocalypse together since those episodes. The collar, the sentinels, and the days of future past.
I was sold on the Nova theory, i actually didnt think the Watcher cameo was Watcher at first, but Cassandra. But they confirmed Nova isnt the direction they were taking i think.
Between the Hulk reference, C.A., and the stark industries building, i think if the avengers did make an appearance, itd be to assist in the coming three episodes, aside from charles and storm. I dont think theyre gonna do AvX yet though.
I like the leech sapping magnetos power into unrecognizable as a mutant concept, woth the wild sentinel thinking he killed the both of them, unless it was manipulated by Bastion to specifically do exactly what it did to make it seem erik died.
Just random thoughts i had, i could be way off. I think Apocalypse is how we get Gambit back, and i think Wolverines exclamation to Madelyne about to give birth ("Who? Apocalypse?!") was written foreshadowing.
Oh, and Trask was ALWAYS a prime sentinel, even in 1992, but activated on death.
I hope we get to see more of the 90s marvel animated versions of Iron Man, Spider-Man, hulk and ghost rider
When Rogue was originally introduced in Marvel comics, she was a Avengers villain. Which makes sense that she interacted with Captain America and had a bunch of Avengers references

Marvel Vs Capcom used Onslaught as a final boss without any context, I’m sure they could find a way to make it work.
He's a Season 3 Big Bad. He will eventually arrive. This show is playing fast and loose with old important storylines from the 1990's run of X-Men. This will set up Fatal Attractions. And I don’t mean the Michael Douglas and Glen Close movie. Those who know, know. Magneto is going to be very pissed.

I think I have an idea how this season will end. It will end with an adaptation of Schism. One team will be more hardline, led by Cyclops with Beast, Rogue, and Emma Frost. The other side will be more faithful to Xavier's dream, led by Storm with Jean Grey, Wolverine, Nightcrawler, and Jubilee.
I feel like many non-comic-book readers are just looking at the changes in Scott's attitude and immediately going, "Yeah, I guess they're going to make Scott more like Magneto now", but it wasn't that simple of a change in the comics. His attitude change is a story that took place over multiple years, starting from The Twelve when he sacrificed himself in Nate Grey's place and fused with Apocalypse. Then, when Jean and Cable managed to separate the two, new X-Men writer Grant Morrison saw the opportunity to evolve Scott's character and made it so that fusing with Apocalypse has somewhat corrupted, or rather, opened Scott's eyes.
Unfortunately, Professor X's reputation was in the dumps at that time, which meant that Scott had to step up into not just a leader of a team, but of the entire mutant race. He obviously couldn't do it alone, so he surrounded himself with other like-minded individuals and leaders like Emma, Magneto and Namor, whose characters and personalities were dubious at best. Things were fine during the Utopia era, when the X-Men was actively operating on an island off the coast of San Francisco and doing heroic stuff.
Of course, the fusion with the Phoenix Force afterwards did not help, especially when he betrayed Emma and killed Xavier. I feel like the writers who took over from Morrison's run were both trying to bring the character back to his status quo and double down on Morrison's changes, depending on who was writing it. At one point, Bendis just went ahead and brought in young Scott from the past, which kind of solved the problem, but also not really in hindsight. I mean, it completely destroyed Beast's character to the point where they had to kill him off and replace him with a clone from back when he was with the Avengers recently because of how irredeemable he had become.
To be honest, things could have been worse. Just look at Hank Pym. No writer was able to redeem the character after they had him develop mental health issues, and after like 2 decades of trying, the writers just went ahead and kill him off once and for all.
I strongly disagree. I feel most non-comic readers are absolutely “getting” it. (I’m a lifelong reader/fan.) Don’t discount them just because they don’t have the history. This show is giving us that in fantastic form, and they seem to mostly understand.

I enjoy watching this show with other comic book fans, because we all make the same face when we get clues as to what will come from this show. You really have to know to understand X-Men Comics know where this show is going. Which makes any fan excited for next Wednesday just like back in the 90's. ARGH Suddenly a week seems so long! I'm dying to know the season finally but at the same time I don't want it to end. LETS GO!! The hype this show gives to the fans is like a roller coaster.
I pretty sure they are setting up Onslaught for season 2 as we see him talk about Xaiver and we see him holding Magneto prisoner. Onslaught is a combination of the consciousnesses of two powerful mutants, Professor Charles Xavier and Magneto, and has superior physical and mental powers. He can also possess the minds of others and use their bodies as his own. We could see the Avengers team up with the xmen or even see the avengers mind controlled to fight the xmen, anything is possible.

The writing and especially the dialogue in this show. The prose as well for that matter. And nerd cred, I grew up a diehard on that OG cartoon and the collectors and all that jazz. When it came to the antagonist and the story those are two things I didn't like from the comics at all. Maybe the era just didn't do it for me. Here I like the antagonist and I think the reason the voice acting, Theo James, just really gives them a lot of dimension that was just lacking on paper. Add the prose again here where the setup just makes the story a lot more compelling.
I also learned, and keep failing on it anyway that they are using a method not unlike Fight Club where are waving the plot in front of us the whole time before fully revealing it which is riveting. "EF" for example, and I knew that original comic story line and should have seen it coming yet I faltered here. The prose her involving Scott's hopes as well really flavors that well. So forth.
So I made sure to make a note to myself when they intentionally pointed out they could not find Val Cooper. I have some ideas but I do know that is going to come into play. And now I am looking at every human character sideways of course after they made the big reveal (also played better than the comic imo).
Again so good. Even with a good understanding of the stories and of the OG cartoon I am still endlessly surprised by this. It's also of course then a fun one to check these reaction videos and see everyone having the exact reaction to those moments. This episode is now otherwise the highest rated on YT next to episode 5 (JFC) of note.

Hallo guys. New subscriber here. Love your reactions. As a massive Nightcrawler fan, I'm so excited for this series. Just want to clarify one thing. Nightcrawler has never been 'a good catholic boy', but maybe as shown so far in this series. Kurt is a charismatic, swashbuckling, lady loving, h**ny, dude with a strong faith who has been with so many different woman over the years through the X-men comics and Excalibur, you can't call him innocent in any way. The X2 movie had him written all wrong. They tend to push his faith to the front of his personality way to much, when he's really an adventurous, master swordsman who's ready to party like he was on Genosha before the attack, but does indeed know how to be the best friend and man of faith at the right times. I hope we get to see more of his swashbuckling side coming up with some of the preview images we've seen. Guten abend. :D
I think morphs power got an upgrade n now he can shapeshifter but also use those ppl powers but at a lower level when he got abducted by sinister.

I don’t think the “cop” part of that statement is bad. From my interpretation she was essentially calling him a government lapdog and that is something Cap has evolved beyond decades ago.
