I think the voice over narration works well especially with things that are very detailed. It is nice having the actual live audio as well.

I was there that day, got about 4 recoveries myself! I did see your truck not far from Uncle Sand Crab! Nice vid, man. I learned how to drive and recover vehicles in the sand from the Jerk Pirates! Great people!
Rule #1 when entering the sand, AIR DOWN YOUR TIRES! all 4 of them. :) 8-10 PSI and go anywhere.
Going to pismo soon. Do i need to carry an air compressor to refill my tires before leaving? Is there a gas station with air nearby?
Good people doing good stuff. The voice overs are super rad! I am by no means a recovery expert yet, but seeing 16:42 setup made me hella nervous.

Totally agree on pulling from both points when possible. Why increase the risk of damaging someone's vehicle just to save a little bit of time? Also, you get a nice centre pull when you connect to both points.
That rope they used when they pulled the bumper off the stuck Dodge didn't look like it had much stretch at all. The shock loading from that probably contributed to that tow point being ripped off like that. You got to love the stretch of kinetic ropes, it's so much more gentle on all the vehicles involved.
That dually at 8:22 did well for being stock! Makes me feel better about potentially driving mine out with a slide in truck camper onto the beaches in baja with a 4in lift and 35 in tires
Just air down a little and keep your speed. Stay more towards the water where it’s hard packed if possible. If you have to go around someone in the soft sand, give it some gas..lol
I went there on Saturday, had a blast.
Looked like a fun time.

I'll be out there this weekend doing a photoshoot. so glad my Honda Pilot has 4WD at least.
air down people, and don't take your low rider cars down on that beach with low profile tires, cuz you will get stuck! Unless the shore line is hard. I'm an old local

headed there soon need some help on how to drive on the sand rolling 4x4 1500 lifted Silverado on 35" tires towing toy hauler AIR DOWN for sure all tires ill try to stay on hard pac sand im packing shovel ,recovery rope and traction boards from the looks of it ill need to keep my speed up passed the soft stuff some advise

Yes you can camp out there but you’ll need to reserve a pass way ahead of time as they sell out months in advance.

Nice voice over. A lot of careful information. Do you make them sign a waiver before pulling them out? I noticed you hooking up to their vehicle , I’m afraid to hook their vehicle, would I assume liability for damages?
Thanks, I’ve never made anyone sign a waiver. I’ve done hundreds of recoveries without damage. Things happen but generally people are super thankful that I’m helping out.
My personal policy is that I'll offer help, but I won't do anything that I believe will damage their vehicle more.
Quite often for me it is just rolling up on someone who pulled off into a muddy shoulder to turn around or make a phone call. Those are simple, hook a strap, and pull them to hard pack. The one time I've pulled a car out of a legitimate ditch I took before pictures so that if he came after me for any damages I had my bases covered showing that all the damage had already occurred before I arrived.
Im always pulling with my offroad tundra people out. Smh..I do it for fun though lol
I'm from the area and you wouldn't BELIEVE what people will "TRY" to drive onto the sand there..... NOT TO MENTION that entrance ALWAYS IS RIPPED APART BY END OF DAY TOO.... THATVAREAS GORGEOUS BUT SOME OF THE PEOPLE FROM THE VALLEY THAT GO THERE ARE ALITTLE DUMB. LOL..

@@xmo552 I just reserved an overnight camping spot for this upcoming weekend and there's a capacity of 200 versus nominal 500 or 1000. Reservation was 18 dollars online with 8 dollars for fees and 10 dollars per night

We don’t charge, there’s usually 20 guys out there like myself that help people out for free.
Never charged a dime, and I ve done many, many recoveries
Any truck can get stuck there. I rather take a tank.

Saw a few people flying only the Mexican flag; not cool. Fly both the US & whatever else you want, but they need to show some respect. Anybody flying only a foreign flag is a leech or vulture - no excuse for it.
