Just finished watching 'Night Shift', I forgot how good the music is! Al Jarreau, Burt Bacharach, Chaka Khan. One of the best soundtracks that I know of. What happened to the wonderful soundtracks of the movies!?! It's taken all the joy of the entertainment experience out of going to the theater.

I bought this song track in 82! It’s special to me, and this song is very underrated...I wore it out! The track has everything...well everything I like. If this is your first time listening, enjoy this pop, delicious, fun, groove from my favorite era the 80s. Ohh! And the movie is really good, it stars Michael/Batman /Keaton, and it’s also the Tuxedo Party song in LEGO Batman...shout out to my 5yr:)

The 80's weren't really all that. It was a bunch of neon triangles , made-for-TV movies about demonically possessed DND players with Ouija boards. Don't forget the crappy fast food burgers too. But computer programming was a lot easier though; all you needed were the CPU datasheets, an EPROM programmer and maybe a soldering iron.

Robert Drexler Really? Seems pretty basic to me. Respect your opinion, but I can think of a few other songs with exceptional Bass playing. Check out Alicia Meyers "I Want to Thank You" or Queen's "Another One Bites the Dust". I find those infectious and can stay on repeat for hours on end.
Robert Drexler forgot to mention Redbone's "Come and Get Your Love" as having an amazing Bass track.

This rare uptempo Al Jarreau jam of the highest quality needs to be heard from people who love artists like I do with similiar sounds of that 1982 period. Ex. Shalamar, Chaka Khan, Quincy Jones, Micheal Jackson, Kool And The Gang, George Benson, Randy Crawford, early Debarge, etc. This joint happens to be on the soundtrack to one of my favorite movies of all time. I think it might of gotten some airplay in it's era when American AM/FM radio was not tightly controlled by shorter playlists that are pre-progammed and there were more DJ's and radio personalities in the Old Media who actually gave a shit about the arts in one form or another. I am forever grateful to have the Night Shift soundtrack on vinyl in very sweet condition. I ordered it from e-bay back around 2002. In the world of New Media and the internet, the possibities of uploading all kinds of rarities are endless and can make for some very new and interesting radio programs focused on underrated and slightly forgotten music of different genres and eras. I know this because I host my own internet based free form and music oriented radio show. Rare Jams and good music to all!!!
