It's good to see the next generation of Dads doing what it takes to get out with their kids and experience nature. Thanks for sharing.
Yes sir!
I came to say thanks to this video. My children and i have found an amazing new place to spend some weekends! Thanks guys it was freaking insane! I recomend 100%
That’s awesome! Glad to you see the kids getting outdoors, that’s what it’s all about 🤙🏼🤙🏼
You have to protect the kids, good call. Tornado warning is no BS. I enjoyed what I saw. Great rigs.
Thank you! Yes they come first , if it was just the guys we definitely would have enjoyed the storm
cool video. thanks. Would like to check out east tx someday. at 4:31, that older 4 runner has very little up-travel on the front suspension, limiting ability.
Thanks! Yes that was the problem we were running into!
Heading out to Davy Crockett NF is on our todo list!!
Heck ya! It’s pretty nice out there
Good call. You drove right by my camp. We have 20 acres in the Tadmor community just outside of the Ratcliff community. We have some pretty severe tornadoes come through averaging at least one every year. Ratcliff lake was closed down for several years due to tornado damage about 8 or 10 years ago. It is a beautiful part of Texas and very peaceful. We are blessed to own a part of it. Davy Crockett National Forest is very nice. Angelina National Forest is about 40 miles east of there and there are a lot of good trails there too.
That’s awesome! You all are blessed, it’s beautiful out there!
@@bfm_overland Next time you go to Crockett Texas, go to the Moosehead Cafe in Downtown Crockett. They have excellent food.
Nice video... east texas is so beautiful..
Thank you! Yea it is, doesn’t even feel like Texas
@@bfm_overland i close on 30 acres in east texas this week of raw land
@hokiedokie congratulations! That’s fricken sweet 🤙🏼🍻
You got some great footage from out there brother!!!!
We gotta make it back out there ASAP.
I'll try to get stuck again 😂
Yea we gotta get back out!
That was just a weird moment lol
We’ve been to the Sam Houston NF several times but haven’t ever been to the Davy Crockett NF. Gonna have to head that way soon.
Sweet! I think you’ll enjoy your time there if you liked SH! Thanks for watching the videos 🤙
That Lexus made everything look easy
They are awesome vehicles off road
That Lexus is nice 👀
Yea it’s sweet! Super capable
nice #overland video
Thank you! I gotta get by your shop sometime!
Awesome video, We have land right there about 10min from where you were camping. We are just getting into overlanding and went out on Sunday driving a lot of these roads and also ended up at Neches Bluff. Thanks for sharing.
Nice! Y’all are blessed to live in such a beautiful area, it doesn’t even feel like Texas out there.
Welcome to the overlanding community lol how did you like the bluff ?
@@bfm_overland it was awesome. we did about 60 miles that day. nothing really "offroad" not sure where we can find that but it was quiet and only saw a couple cars the whole time.
@@kemmick that’s awesome, that’s what it’s all about. Exploring, and getting away from society, well at least for me lol we’re planning on going back this winter! Let the mesquitoes die down a bit
@@bfm_overland No doubt, we have land there but we live close to Houston. That land is our getaway but now its time to explore more of the country which is why we want to start overlanding. We have considered opening up our land to overlanders for night use but not sure if that will happen or not.
@@kemmick that would be sweet!
Let me know, we can be your Guinea pigs lol
Went there today and couldn't find any of these trails, only thing we could find were the gravel park roads, mind updating the description with a link to the trails you used ?
Hey Garrett what gps system are you using?
@@bfm_overland you name it, I'm running it. Gaia, onx, all trails, Garmin overlander, osmand etc
@@garretthart13find anything?
@@AstorrAS no just dirt and gravel roads, very few logging trails
So DC has some trails you can drive? Good to know lol. We live not far and need some good trails. We just camp out or make day trips.
Whatsup Codie, yes we had fun. From what we gathered it would be more fun after a some rain lol play in the mud a bit
Can you post GPX files of this route ??
Look up East Texas 450
Which route did you guys take through the woods. Looking into driving through this park on monday. Did you guys just take the route listed in OnX for the Davey Crockett National Forest Route? Cool video!
Thanks man!
Yes we just followed onyx for the most part. There was a route we found off onyx that was cool.
It was a great time!!!
Yea it was, too bad it was cut short
Great video!!!! Where did you get that hat? its awesome!!!
Thanks man!!
I got the hat on eBay, It’s one of my favorite hats lol
Can you share the route?
What’s up bro I recommend to do the Texas Traverse Trail. It’s like a 3 day trail run it’s on X off-road
Thanks man! We will look into it! I appreciate the info brotha
Is there a gps track to download anywhere? Not google required.
We use onyx off road!
I'm confused why the 4Runner got stuck and acted like it had two open diffs? Would the ATRAC not get him out or did he choose not to use it?
It was the weirdest thing, he had a center locker but rear off ground and just wouldn’t get out. We were all laughing because he’s taken that 4Runner through way worse!
@@bfm_overland Thanks, that's interesting.
👍 thank you for watching
Thanks for watching! Anyone else ever been in a situation like that?? What did you do?
What trail was this?
They were some trails around the forest, no specific names. I am going to be making a Patreon soon so I can provide the coordinates to you all! Stay tuned…
@@bfm_overland thank you. I’m in DFW, would love to join sometime.
What main rd did you get in this trail from
@bfm_overland Have you put this trail location on your Patreon yet? Specifically the area at 2:55?
