I am not the developer, please see the dev's discord for help, linked at the bottom of this page.* Make sure to have ETF updated. CustomSkinLoader seems to be causing issues with skins loading ironically, but you should no longer need that mod.
Another thing I should point out, you ONLY need to remove your eyes if part of them are on the second skin layer. If your eyes are only on the first layer, you can leave them- the resource pack is smart! Do make sure you download the version of the resource pack that INCLUDES the eyes. Some versions do not.

Hey Laynce! Very cool video, I really like the way you edit your videos, just wanted to say that you don't have to delete your eyes if you use them in a normal layer, much people are saying "but people without the resource pack will see you eyeless", that will only happen if you delete the normal eyes (wich isn't Necessary) so please, if anyone reads this don't delete them, just add the animated eye texture and It will look fine xd
I was under the impression that because of my double layer eyes, my eyebrows and pupils specifically would double since they’re normally on the second layer. I remember having recorded a clip talking about not needing to delete your eyes if everything was on the first layer, but I might have accidentally deleted it…

@@JuanGamer0202Oh really? I can give valid criticism too. At least Bedrock's blinking is minecrafty. Fluid animation does not work well in minecraft, and does not automatically make it "better". The minecraft trailers have proven how facial expressions in minecraft are supposed to be done, and this video isn't it.

Oh my goodness, throw this in a modpack with Fresh Animations + Bare Bones and you have an incredible trailer recreation. Thanks for this, you broke it down so well that even non-artists like me can easily understand what to do! I'm giving this a try immediately!

You should try the modpack lowresbones did, it actually looks like the trailers and better! Combined with this player animation and element animation will be jealous

@@nnoxie.a extremely common bedrock L, they don't allow to do this with custom skins
@@adriano760with Java custom skins, the bedrock marketplace skins all work just fine with it, the skin packs and pixel art ones just can’t be done without the player themself putting in the blinking.
I personally think blinking is too weird for vanilla minecraft. You could say something about it being in the trailers, but the trailers have always been very different from the game.
@@nnoxie.a It looks kinda weird in bedrock since it’s just a single frame blink on a static face.
Imagine how cool it would be if they used this mod in Hermitcraft server.
Bdubs used the blinking stuff on Hermitcraft on his most recent episode. Scar got scared.

ok, having watched you blink for so long (IN MINECRAFT), it's not as creepy as it seemed at first because it's "properly" animated, unlike vanilla bedrock, with several frames so your eyes only stay shut very briefly
This is the first thing I'm doing when I get to my PC tonight! What a fantastic tutorial!

Really great pack, I was tired of the mobs around me having fresh anims, but not having any myself.

Just spent 2 hours on editing my skin because i dont know how to use photoshop just to make my character feel a bit more lively.. thats why i love minecraft!
Glad seeing java players finally has player animation resource pack after long time, because bedrock players already have it earlier, and it's Fanimation by Fiery abyss. But the java version has the own unique style while Bedrock version are inspired from MC Dungeon animation and Not enough animation mod.
Technically had it I believe with at least one other mod that lets you animate your skin as well as animations but this is better in a lot of ways
This is so much more than just blinking animation

Oh god finally i found it!
another way to do this is using Figura! However this is such a clean and simple way to do it.
i love that the config is in the skin and not in the mod, so much easier to use that in multiple modpacks!
And much easier in multiplayer settings! This project was incredibly well executed
@@layncemc only thing is that it doesnt seem to work in forge 1.20.1 but fabric 1.20.4 is good so im happy :)
It would be so much more work but it would be cool if an eye tracker could be hooked up and if you were looking at the right side of ur screen, your Minecraft character would look right, etc! But it still looks really cool as is!

Only if your eyes are partially on both layers like mine normally is. If your eyes are on the base layer only, you can leave them and it won’t cause problems with the pack. I removed mine just because of my pupils. Normal people do not have to delete their eyes. That was one thing I accidentally left out of the video

Fresh animations calls back to the 1.5 days of Player Animator mod
This would be so cool if there was a mod that combined this with the VR mod and a fullbody tracking suit. Then you could quite literally put yourself in Minecraft.

VERY IMPORTANT NOTE IWHEN YOU DOWNLOAD THE PACK: Modrinth automatically chooses what it thinks is the LATEST version of the pack, so you might be downloading the eyeless version without realising. (if u like ur eyes not moving, then whatever).

We’re getting closer to matching Bedrock’s incredible versatility. I remember using resourcepacks (and nothing else) to add player animations and shaders :D
but bedrock is more limited as Java has mods bedrock has behavior packs which are much worse in comparison

You only need two mods and a resource pack, and soon- only one mod! Both of them are very lightweight as well :)

I'm having issues with the head being backwards. And I know it's not the texture, cause I installed another mod that has a monocle, and that is also backwards

Actually I suggest you to keep the original eyes in a flat version on your skin.
This will allow other player who don't have the mod and the pack installed to see your face.
Don't worry tho, you wont see your static and animated eyes/eyebrowns in the same time. The pack has been well thought. Just be sure the static eyes correspond to the animated eyes you are using.
The problem was, the resource accounts for the base layer, not the hat layer. I did get a workaround though so I will have a face from now on!
@@layncemc It's true. You can't have animated eyes AND the parallax effect for those who don't have ETF and the pack installed.
But since it only affects the peasants who don't know the existence of this wonderful pack it's not a problem.
