The witch's potion resurrects the dead.
The gunpowder dropped by the cat provides the explosion.
Slime keeps every piece alive, even if it breaks into living pieces.
Creeper never made so much sense to me.

I absolutely love the fact that the other creepers were an exact copy of the first one, who got scared by the cat, and that lead to all creepers being scared of cats. Genius!

I love how to the whole "Creepers were made from pigs" manages to still somewhat be a part of the lore. Like a game design gone wrong suddenly going right years later.

Have you looked up how creepers were actually designed? It started from a bug when designing the pig.

I like how the creeper seems more terrified than aggressive and explodes basically because it had a panic attack since it can’t really understand the world around it, kinda makes sense somehow as a survival mechanism rather than a predatory one because as we saw exploding itself is it’s only means of defense and reproduction.

I remember hearing somewhere that the reason creepers explode is because they want to introduce themselves to you but get so nervous they explode. I bet that's why the creeper seems terrified because it was like "how do I social?? 😭😭" and exploded from embarrassment

It's great how the actual creation of creepers is implemented with the pig. Also this is the reason why creepers fear cats then.

It's vision is obviously different from ours, and thus it saw the cat differently from how we do.

I like how you made them multiply after the explosion because creepers scatter green seeds in old Minecraft versions. That's a really nice detail!

Yeah its also said in the mobeastiary that creepers multiply when they explode. They are a literal man made infinite army, really shows just how intelligent what ever "race" steve comes from probably is. They made many creatures. Like the gaurdians and creepers. Or the iron golems who were probably invented by them

I am amazed by all the canonical references: from the Squidwitch's hut being like the one in the game to Creepers fearing all feline Mobs, everything was crafted in such a detail that shows just how much the author loves the source material.

Creepers were accidentally made because when notch modeling the first ever passive mob name pig, there was an error modeling it and that's how creepers are made

very clever along with all the other details that other people said, these clips have a lot of effort put into them.

I love how when they explode create more of themselves. It makes the game make more sense if you think about it like this. The creepers don't explode only to kill you, but to reproduce.

@@Ashley-od9md according to game theory zombies where made by the woodland mansion people they tried to get immortality and got kicked out of the the village they lived at (which makes sense why they hate and look like villagers) and in their search of immortality they made a mansion and they have all that cloth around to make stuff that resembles a normal builder (basically Steve and Alex's race) they accidentally made zombies and iron golems were made by the builders and the villagers learned how to make them which is why the villagers can make them but in also like your theory and then endermen they are the builders but they had to flee to the end because of the wither and because they had to flee quickly they couldn't get out again they had to eat the thing that made people teleport randomly and the way they got over there is probably a bridge that collapsed but it also makes sense how they can teleport but your theory also makes sense

@@tuckmasterg the call to battle had something like that where if you get hit by a zombie you get infected and you have to eat a cure or you will die and turn into a zombie. Then you have to kill the zombie to get your stuff back. And the better armor you had the harder the zombie is to kill which makes it extremely hard if you have the ultimate armor from orespawn

There's a mod that makes creepers do exactly that, they no longer damage blocks and instead they inflict a new status effect called creeper spores and when it runs out it spawns baby creepers around you that will later grow up into normal creepers, with the mod they will also target all mobs minus cats of any kind.

The witch is absolutely me. Explain literally everything im doing to my cat, even if she doesn't understand or care.
Details in this video:
1. The creeper was made by a mismodeled pig
2. It was made from a bug (because one of the bottles looked empty so I think there was a bug)
3. The creeper was afraid of the cat
4. In the mobeastiary, it says that creepers make more creepers out of explosion.
5. There is always a black cat, a crafting table, a cauldron and a flower pot in the witches hut.
6. The witch kept a baby slime because they don't hurt you and also they spawn mostly in full moons so they kinda despawn at day without looking at them.
7. The creeper was made to camouflage in trees so the pig head was on the stump, hence the color of green for leafs and the way it looks a little bit fluffy.
Creeper was green because it blends in old minecraft grass texture.

Another thing I noticed, even though I’m not sure sure if it’s intentional or not, is that this story is very similar to how gunpowder was invented in real life. Someone in China tried to invent an immortality substance and they instead invented gunpowder which would prematurely end millions of lives. Similarly, the witch was trying to invent an immortality potion but instead invented the creeper which would prematurely cause many 9 year olds to rage

Not only is the animation great but I like the little touch of the fact of the creeper's Vision is blurry which kinda causes the cat to have such a terrifying look which might explain why creeper's are so terrified of cats

We need a part 2 of this, or even a series, where it’s the witch, barely surviving this, trying to find a way to not only prolong their life, but also trying to find a way to either study or eliminate the creepers, possibly the explosion infected them in some way so the witch also has to find out how to cure it?

But then again, witches are known to be evil, seeing as they not only attack players but also help the illagers on their raids.
Perhaps, if the witch did survive, it would try to manifest the power of the creepers to help them somehow or make them more powerful.
Which would make for an even better sequel.
Seeing as it would explain why creepers only attack players and also the origin of the charged creeper.

I'd never expect a creeper to act like a single-cell organism and do mitosis
One thing I like is that middens literally has the face of what have I done when seeing the creeper
This is how the ingredients of the potions reacted:
The slime makes it so it duplicates(aka duplicating a cell)
The gunpowder makes it explode
The herbs makes them heal(after duplication)
And make them green
That's genius
And maybe a strand of cat fur to give a reaction against cats
Also, If you look closely, there is a spider that gets knocked into the pot as well.
Perhaps a reason why they have spider-like legs?

A bit annoying regarding pathfinding (a few villagers struggle to go to bed at night), but at least I have a nice human-sized castle, on top of a hill, with 2 rows of fortifications and 10-12 villagers (no golem appeared though) :) I'll try to post a photo.
So Creepers are an unstable version of a pig that was used to test a failed healing potion
This is the official lore now, this makes so much sense and works so well. What could also be a possibility is if it was an infection that spread to other pigs to continue turning them into creepers

This video unironically answers two pieces to a lore-like story to the Creepers: one being how they came to be, and two being why they’re scared of cats ✨👌
I really love this video because its not only refferencing about the fact that creepers are just a coding bug when making the pigs, but its also refferencing Matpat's theory about the creepers body being a type moss that spreads by exploding it's seeds on the ground. On the near end of the video when the creeper explodes, it's "fluids/spores" spreads on the ground and creating new creepers, exactly like Matpat's theory that when the creeper explodes, they spread their "spores" and creating new ones to further spread itself. Really great video! Good job!

In this case it's more like starfish, the immortality potion grew an entire """"pig"""" from just the head, if the magic is powerful enough to regrow from the smallest piece, then any chunk of the exploded creeper could regrow again, like starfish arms.

Screw this cat, he's the reason I died in my 5 year hardcore world.
I love how he incorporated actual Minecraft lore into the animation.
I love this, dude. It was a potion of pure regeneration, an evolution of healing potions. But with that chemistry, and a dash of gunpowder and other miscellaneous potions, it used two of the closest pieces of biological pieces it could find: grass and pigs.
But the death reversing properties didn't stop. It was, after all, the end all be all. And with the explosiveness of gunpowder mixed with the intense fear and probable intense pain causing them to explode....they multiply....

Dude the Witch’s death was kinda sad she seemed like a nice person, she took good care of her cat, tried to comfort the creeper, And she even made a potion to heal a permanent injury.
I hope she’s just unconscious-she was a magical medical researcher, after all.
If anyone would have something magical to keep potion-related explosions from permanently killing them, it’d be her.
I like how this happened in search of an immortality potion much like how gunpowder itself is said to have been discovered.

They were too far away from the explosion. And even if new creepers came, mittens would scare them away. Lets just assume they got to live happily after the event so no worries.
I think mittens did this on purpose. They now have freedom from the witch, and can herd explosive monsters. Mittens is now all powerful.

The only way I think this could have possibly been better is if the ears and nose fell off instead of retreating back inside of it self but this a absolute masterpiece
