Final Fantasy X is now twenty years old. I played this game on my older brother's PlayStation when I was six. The world of Spira was and still is captivating. I remade parts of this game in Unreal Engine, 4k with raytracing, to see what this world might look like if it was created with today's software & hardware. One day maybe even VR?
I started learning Unreal Engine in August 2020. This video is my first big project. It took loads of work, and it was great fun. I used Metahuman for the close-up shots of Tidus. The footage is all rendered from Unreal using 16bit image sequences, which I edit in After Effects & Premiere Pro.
To get the official Final Fantasy 3d models I actually downloaded FF Skyrim mods, and ran the files through Blender. That way they had basic bones which I could jam around in Unreal. I should have used control rig, or even done the whole thing in Blender, but in case you can't tell already I have no idea what I'm doing.

I hoping after they remake ffx and ffx-2 they move on to ffx-3 disregard the audio drama and make jenova the villian for ffx-3 and the connection of shinra and how it ended up on the world of gaia
Here's hoping, in this remake, we get to explore an expanded Luca, the blitzball game being as intense as the opening cinematic, the chance to visit the whole of the Zanarkand ruins and Bevelle and more connections to ff vii.
Abd most importantly, introduce nooj, baralai and gippal properly.
Nooj and gippal can be guest characters.
Gippal can be made the leader of the al bhed salvage crew who rescued tidus.
He joins, alongside rikku the party against that fiend in baaj temple.
And also again as Tidus dives below to the sunken ruins.
Nooj could also be seen there during operation mi'ihen, going so far as to fight alongside Tidus alongside gippal against another sinspawn, one different from the captured one. And after the fight, there's a cinematic where nooj loses his arm and leg while gippal loses an eye but both are carried to safety by Tidus.
Baralai would be elaborated on, as a spy at Bevelle. He is caught by Seymour but just pretends not to see anything.
Later on his cover is blown but Seymour grants him asylum at his manor in guadosalam and then that scene from that sphere plays out.

Literally same. FFX was the first game i ever saw my father play and he showed me how to play. First time he ever allowed me on his PS2. I beat this game so many times and no matter how many times i play it, i find something else to love about it.
I’m sorry to hear what happened to you mate, l hope you’re doing well now.. This is what we need for the PS5, PS6, or later version’s. Once Square Enix finished with the FFVII REmakes, they need to do this, I don’t care if they wanna make a sequel to FFX-2, I’d prefer a REmake of FFX like they did for FFVII.. make it happen! The Remastered version for PS3, and PS4 were awesome, but this is was we would want! ❤❤

FFX doesn’t need a remake. People at SE said they want to make X-3 so I’m sure it will look closer to these graphics.

They already have done the remastered version.. I don't think they will ever do a remake, even tho it would be a dream.

Gorgeous... never felt so many emotions with any other game. This game has a soul. I hope I live long enough to see Final Fantasy X-3 become true. That dream will never end, at least not until it becomes true.
X2 was a poor game. I'd hope for a X remake. Maybe a different ending but god damn it, please keep the battling system turn based 🙏!!!
With Nomura in the helm, most likely X-3 will be poop. If you want another franchise, that mess with your emotions, you got the persona franchise. Of course is in a different way, than FF.

To answer, "To I want a FFX-3? Answer: Hell no."
Darkness in this point is like the "sith dagger and wayfinder" a mere plot device, without any real threat or weight.

Sometimes, and I don't know why, I want to say thank you to people who love the same things I do. Final Fantasy X was my first FF, is still my favorite and is very important to me. As long as people love imaginary worlds, they're the closest they can be to being real. So I just want to say, thank you all for loving the same game I do.
Same here. FFX is a game I can re-play the rest of my life and never get sick of it. The characters, story, music, setting etc is all amazing.

Square has announced that pretty much everyone wants to do a FF X-3 but they're waiting to finish the final fantasy vii remake project, so it might be another 10 or so years

@@barsabe I believe it's a masterpiece, but I would not be against a remake. It could use some polish. Some mechanics and graphics are outdated. They could flesh out the story even a bit more

Doesn't even have to be a remake. They have that Audio drama that could be used as it set out a storyline for a continuation and with how it was going they could find an excuse to bring Auron, Jecht, and others back as well lol.

Such attention to detail. Evrae, the Yeti in Macalania, Geosgaeno, the Monster Arena, hearing Ixion in the Thunder Plains, the pestering alarm in Home, GOD DAMN THIS IS INCREDIBLE
It was all absolutely incredible, but when I heard that iconic alarm, that's what really made it top tier for me. That and the flaming sphere from the temple. Such a cool shot.

I can sense how much care was put into the music, background effects, sound effects, characters, environments, cities, etc. This is superb! I was astounded by the amount of detail in almost every scene. You did not shy away from covering almost every area in the game. My mind is blown with the amount of work that this must've taken. The artistic style is true to the original but so much more vivid and brilliant. This is a project you can be proud of until you die. Truly phenomenal work.
