      @DGRIFF Před měsícem +8

      This isn't even close to how we used to wrap in the 2000s. It started at the wrist and basically was a support at the wrist that pulled the hand towards the wrist and kept the finger bones tied together. There wasn't any wraps between the fingers, just gauze under the wrap.
      I was muay thai and 4-6oz mma gloves, so maybe this is why it was different?

      Do you know about that old timey boxing stance where the boxers didn't defend their head but had one arm near their stomach and one just in front of that one? That's because boxing used to be basically only bare knuckle and boxers wouldn't aim for the head because punching the skull with just fists hurt their fists more than they person they were fighting's skull since they used to not wear wraps when bare knuckle boxing, thus also not needing to defend the head

      @@georgiussamuel4898 Dude. Thanks. People usually think I autogenerate everything with a single mouse click. It takes way more time than people think. This one took a few weeks of thinking about it off and on just to decide what to do or whether to use it at all. When I sat down with it, the script took an hour or so writing, rewriting, watching the video, rewording and describing it as well as I can and the voiceover took a few hours to get right too. And I probably spent a half hour looking for the music and testing different tracks and getting the captions working right is it's own problem you learn through tons of trial and error. It's definitely work, which is why you don't see a lot of channels doing it and even fewer doing it well. I made this one to try out "evergreen content" because I used a gift wrapping tutorial with like 400 million views (present for my wife) and tried to think about ways I could do that with content relevant to this channel. And it's crazy to me that it blew up like this. It had like 2000 views until 4 days ago. It's over 4 million now. CZcams is so weird sometimes.

    Fun fact, armor tricks something inside our brains. Wearing gloves helps remove some of the subconscious limit we place on our strikes.
    You can test this yourself, just throw on a heavy work glove and punch something.
    Now take the glove off and try, unless your fucking crazy you should notice right away how much easier it seems to be with the glove.
    This goes for most of your body, and even masks in another sense.
    I wasn't allowed hand wraps as a pre teen because I kept busting my wrists up.
    I have dainty little feminine wrists and medium large hands. Terrible combo for sprains.
    Idk if that was intelligent but it stopped me from fuckin up my wrists.

    it DOES NOT matter what style or method you use as long as it covers the metacarpals, the knuckles and the wrists. I personally use the 444 method, 4 times on the wrists, 4 times on the knuckles, and 4 on the fingers. Don’t wrap too right or too loose and you’ll be fine. You don’t need the padding, that’s what your gloves are for.

  • @bloodydior6871

    Every trainer have their own traditional ways. I came in with those regular one roll with Velcro and my coach threw them away lol. We used le Roy Mexican gauze. 2 rolls on each hand to be precise. First roll we use for the knuckles basically folded then set on the knuckles then the second roll we use it to hold it down and from there we do the basic traditional hand wrap .Anybody getting into boxing or already training. I recommend getting some. Way more flexible and much more comfortable than the basic wraps. Easier on the knuckles too. Only downside ( depending on how often u train) you’ll probably go through them quicker than the basic ones but worth is if u ask me
