In this video i show you how to replace the notorious fuse 27. what happens is it gets to much amperage for that little fuse to handle. there is a TSB out on this, I show this in the video. The fix is to change it to the first row and make it a jcase fuse. This is a easy fix that can be done in a short afternoon. ford has a replacement kit or you can get it from dormen and others. It's so simple doesn't really matter which kit you decide to go with its just wire, heat shrink, spade connector and fuse. Ford part number is: WT56872 . Good video.
What year range of F-150 is affected?
Thanks! It’s the year models 2009-2014 that have the problem. Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Always disconnect the negative instead. Those universal battery terminals are an open circuit waiting to happen.
Negative is what I would normally take off when working with electronics. but we don’t want any active voltage possibly going to our fuses. But if I’m incorrect you can elaborate more I’m always willing to learn something new. Thanks for watching!
Nice video , but clean and grease that battery terminal!! 😊
Haha it for sure needs it. Thanks for watching!
Might as well clean that rust on + terminal.
Haha ya defiantly needs it. Thanks for watching!
Don't let the positive cable touch any bare metal? You've already removed it from the battery! It doesn't matter.
You’re absolutely correct. I misspoke in the video. My bad
