In my opinion I would rank these phones like this: 1. HONOR 200 2. Google Pixel 8a 3. Oppo Reno12 Pro 4. Samsung A55 5. OnePlus Nord 4 But other than that, nice comparison keep it up!
Video) Front Cam: Samsung the worst (oversharpening and awb all over the place, front cam washed out like the 1080p footage looked better on the other ones). Honor seems to be the best among all of them. Though the focus test video showed a lot of noise. Stabilisation: Pixel 8a shows too many dropped frames imho but has good stabilisation. The Oppo is the worst with stabilisation. Samsung good stabilisation but oversharpened. Honor good stabilisation and not so oversharpened. OnePlus a bit weird colours at first and a bit weirdly sharpened up on occation and stabilisation worse. Winner Honor. Portraits: OnePlus ok - Google to green - Samsung wtf happened here with the cutout - Honor maybe a ted too warm / yellow - Winner OnePlus Night: OnePlus perfect balance colours, contrast, lights sharpness - Pixel 8a overxposure , way too contrasty, noise and a bit too sharpened up - Oppo like a better version of OnePlus a ted sharper and warmer - Samsung makes the night look violet, lack of details in the trees slightly washed out colours - Honor 200 underexposed slightly, too punchy colours, a bit too greenish looking I think we can agree on Samsung being the worst in this comparison. When it comes to the overall best. I am leaning towards the OnePlus more. The Pixel has good features but I don't like its more artifical look.

For the price of those phones you can get a Galaxy S23 fe in NA, which currently sells for bout $350- USD and that camera has an actual optical zoom lens, basically the same camera setup as the vanilla S23. Flagship performance / camera, Mid-range price-tag..
I agree. this is why I don't buy midrange phones. the price of the flagships or high midrange like the se's price goes down anyway. we just have to wait. like right now, the s22 is very cheap and I'd rather have that than these. 😁

Aside from the poor stabilisation, I'm quite impressed with the Nord 4. It's not the best, but in return the performance is better than most phones here which I need. That metal body is a great bonus too for durability, and it has 4 year OS update which is nice for long term use.

Samsung A55 is actually cheaper than the honor 200 pro now, That aside i believe the feel, and look of the A55 to be much better, and the software experience is up with the flagships But only if samsung made the hardware like the honor this thing would have been a monster
You know, I was Pixel three quarters of the time but I don't like the way the Pixel and the Samsung, and Honor in a few shows, brighten night shots? I really want the photograph to look as I saw it. Is that too much to ask?! I've seen this in other reviews and while to some they might see it as an advantage, I really want wysiwyg! So to speak. The Honor was better than I was expecting, really surprised me. I've seen several reviews where it and the 200 Pro looks really terrible (to be specific, especially with moving subjects and some struggle with focus). Though I didn't have the Samsung as last, it's clearly not in the same league as the Pixel. Some good AI features. We went with it for my mother because of the solid build quality, felt really premium, and the many years of OS and security updates. I was aware A35 has better 4K selfie (seems to be the strong point of that phone as a camera) but anyway, picked up the A55 with free earbuds at £289 from John Lewis and am generally pleased with it, at that price point, at least, apart from getting a good signal in challenging environments like hospitals; at that point I lost my temper with it, I knew it was a problem with the Exynos version of the Samsung S24 but not in the A55, really shocking, not something you want to discover while in a panicked state. Really enjoyed your comparison. How about a re test of some of the Qualcomm Snapdragon chip models, using Gcam, to see if it elevates them to another level, it would perhaps make picking a phone easier in a very crowded field? Also, in post, it would be interesting to know if AI software can make a photograph from a really cheap phone/camera anywhere near premium level?! But yeah, Gcam could be fun, wouldn't cost you anything, too, apart from time, I think it could be worth it and fascinating for your viewers. Thanks again, love your channel.
after watching this video, I realized how honor 200 has great camera hardware but still could use software improvement. it's fairly new so we'll see how they improve it. Kinda disappointed with A55's performance.

Brilliant work and comparison 👍. Samsung Galaxy A55 deserved to be in last place. Very disappointing photos overall, only good in selfie video. So many years before the 2024 Samsung A5x series took punchy likable photos, now they just looked boring and lifeless. That brand new OnePlus 4 took me by surprise. Very good photos & videos considering that the main sensor is "only" Sony LYT-600, not a very expensive lens (same on Nord CE 4 Lite). On a cheaper Motorola Edge 50 Fusion is a better LYT-700 sensor and it costs only 349€ (in Germany Amazon, here in Finland it's 449€). Nord 4 I wonder how that metal back feels in hand? Is it slippery? Edge 50 Fusion has a vegan leather finish which both feels nice and gives a good grip. But Nord 4 has of course a much more powerful CPU compared to Fusion (SD 7s gen 2 is nothing special).

Pixelowi brakuje klasy w samym wyglądzie i ładowanie jest zbyt wolne, a bateria nie jest najlepsza. Honor ok selfie i super zoom ale zdjęcia robi słabe, a w nocy tragiczne. Samsung też ma wolne ładowanie i aparat słaby , Oppo ok ale wszystko przeciętnie bez wyróżnień. Jednak Oneplus wydaje się najciekawszą opcją. Z założenia aparat słaby ale na testach jest ok. Świetna bateria, szybkie ładowanie, aluminiowy korpus. Jedynie wydaje się niewygodny w ręku kwadraciakiem
For me I will start with (1)Honor 200 coz of best iso, good focus and colors.also better dynamic range. (2) Google pixel, had good quality in photography. (3) OnePlus was just average in all shots. (4) Oppo was good but poor dynamic range with few washed out photos. (5) Samsung coz many photos looked washed out even videos, and poor colors. Only focus and brightness was the best in Samsung

Cameras not good on Reno 12 pro, but has great AI features. I'm just in a dilemma..that or the Honor which has better cameras but the AI not on the same level as Reno 12 pro
1. HONOR 200 - Just macro was not good, but on others videos, it is not so bad - especially in Pro version.. 2. Google Pixel 8a 3. OnePlus Nord 4 - but this time no wow effect from it, like from Nord 2 in past.. 4. Oppo Reno 12 Pro 5. Samsung A55 No surprise - Like almost every Samsung, price for value - it is very very bad. It´s joke (not just for poor camera) to have a price for this machine around 520 eur... And still, it is everywhere. You just open the doors at the provider, and they will get You some Samsung with nice words around it for You.. For me, this is no way to go with Samsung, even them layer I really do not like... :)

A few things to say about this comparison... 1. Oneplus Nord 4 and Pixel 8a can do video at 4k60, im glad you mention that... but why didn't you make the video comparasion on that resolution, the comparasion should have been made on the maximum resolution each one can do, not the exact same, at the end of the day is useless that you say that one phone is better at 4k30 that the pixel or one plus when they can do better, it only makes things confusing and the comparasion inaccurate... 2. Did I miss something... ? Where is the most important comparison... / I mean the standard main camera daylight photos... ! ? xd Is this not something worth mentioning... ? I mean, you know, is just like the 90% of all photos that people usually take with a phone... / Yeah, maybe you're right, not worth mentioning after all... ╮(￣ω￣;)╭ 3. Thanks for taking your time to write all this. If you watch the video again you can see that I'm actually using the 4k 60fps and showing this on both devices. Yes the main sensor pictures aren't available but I didn't want the video to be too long. Unfortunately I wasn't able to do side by side comparisons as I'm editing all the videos on my phone using Kinemaster. Trust me it takes long time anyway

Confused between Oneplus Nord 4 and Honor 200. Except telephoto Nord 4 is better in every way battery performance UI update policy brand/resale value.
It's also has Flfaster storage type - UFS 4.0 and it's ip65 rated

Pixelowi brakuje klasy w samym wyglądzie i ładowanie jest zbyt wolne, a bateria nie jest najlepsza. Honor ok selfie i super zoom ale zdjęcia robi słabe, a w nocy tragiczne. Samsung też ma wolne ładowanie i aparat słaby , Oppo ok ale wszystko przeciętnie bez wyróżnień. Jednak Oneplus wydaje się najciekawszą opcją. Z założenia aparat słaby ale na testach jest ok. Świetna bateria, szybkie ładowanie, aluminiowy korpus. Jedynie wydaje się niewygodny w ręku kwadraciakiem

For me I will start with (1)Honor 200 coz of best iso, good focus and colors.also better dynamic range. (2) Google pixel, had good quality in photography. (3) OnePlus was just average in all shots. (4) Oppo was good but poor dynamic range with few washed out photos. (5) Samsung coz many photos looked washed out even videos, and poor colors. Only focus and brightness was the best in Samsung

Cameras not good on Reno 12 pro, but has great AI features. I'm just in a dilemma..that or the Honor which has better cameras but the AI not on the same level as Reno 12 pro

1. HONOR 200 - Just macro was not good, but on others videos, it is not so bad - especially in Pro version..
2. Google Pixel 8a
3. OnePlus Nord 4 - but this time no wow effect from it, like from Nord 2 in past..
4. Oppo Reno 12 Pro
5. Samsung A55
No surprise - Like almost every Samsung, price for value - it is very very bad. It´s joke (not just for poor camera) to have a price for this machine around 520 eur...
And still, it is everywhere.
You just open the doors at the provider, and they will get You some Samsung with nice words around it for You..
For me, this is no way to go with Samsung, even them layer I really do not like...

A few things to say about this comparison...
1. Oneplus Nord 4 and Pixel 8a can do video at 4k60, im glad you mention that... but why didn't you make the video comparasion on that resolution, the comparasion should have been made on the maximum resolution each one can do, not the exact same, at the end of the day is useless that you say that one phone is better at 4k30 that the pixel or one plus when they can do better, it only makes things confusing and the comparasion inaccurate...
2. Did I miss something... ? Where is the most important comparison... / I mean the standard main camera daylight photos... ! ? xd Is this not something worth mentioning... ? I mean, you know, is just like the 90% of all photos that people usually take with a phone... / Yeah, maybe you're right, not worth mentioning after all... ╮(￣ω￣;)╭
3. Some side by side photo comparison would be really useful, it's quite hard to compare them like this...
Thanks for taking your time to write all this. If you watch the video again you can see that I'm actually using the 4k 60fps and showing this on both devices. Yes the main sensor pictures aren't available but I didn't want the video to be too long.
Unfortunately I wasn't able to do side by side comparisons as I'm editing all the videos on my phone using Kinemaster. Trust me it takes long time anyway
