- According to your choices in the previous episodes, you can either find Violet blind or unharmed then save her from raiders. To get and record all the possible outcomes I replayed the whole game several times. I then edited the recorded scene in this video in a sequential way so you can discover the outcome you'd be interested about.

Louis wouldn't be able to play piano blind and violet wouldn't be able to sing without a tongue.

Louis would need to adapt to the sounds and practice more than he already have. So it wouldn't be such a problem, now her she would get fucked up.

I wouldn't take it too much for a laugh, if Louis loses his tongue he can safely communicate with writing, the developers have said that Violet is totally blind in one eye and hardly sees anything in the other. In the normal world it would be equally horrible but in a zombie apocalypse, losing your sight is worse than being able to talk.
Whoever you save or who you choose among those two,they will still have a fatal tragedy...

Clementine lost her leg, Violet lost her eyes and Louis tongue. Three of my favorite characters suffer.

on a side note i was mad Clem couldnt bring Minerva to our side because she seems loyal and a badass like Clem i could definitely see these two in a best friend/frenemy type of relationship. when i saw Minerva go sicko mode i was honestly sad because she was holding her own even when she knew she was bit she didnt give up. she was a wasted comrade but a fantastic antagonist.

This feels more like a multiple consequences game, the previous seasons just felt like the dialogue changes or which of the two is-gonna-dies characters you want dying first, but the cutscenes and dialogue actually feel very different with different choices

I thought Violet's personality was so similar to Lilly I was surprised she wasn't a supporting antagonist in this season or something. She even fights you in the prison when you are trying to break out.

I feel like it's better for Louis to be the harmed one...because being blind would make your chance of survival harder, not having a tongue wouldn't affect you THAT much...sure you wouldn't be able to speak but your chances of survival is still decently high!

Well...no. With Lee, remember, he was in that state throughout a whole entire episode while Clementine around half an episode. Lee was bitten at least a day before he died, and you saw how he deteriorated throughout. He could barely get up by the end, and he could barely talk. Remember, compared to those like Abel, he didn't turn in a matter of minutes because that bite was the only thing that killed him. Abel turned fast because he was bleeding internally.
Clementine, however, was probably bitten only a few hours or so; remember, they went to the boat when the moon was already out, she was knocked out in the cell where she probably was unconscious for a solid five to ten minutes, and then they got out. I'm guessing that it was already around 11pm to 1am by the time they got out, and they were almost at the school by the time she got bit. The sun that rose was an early morning sun, so she wasn't bitten for as long. And, when she had her little death scene, she was talking just fine, without any struggle. Clementine was pale, and part of it was probably from the bite, but she was loosing a lot of blood too; people get pale for various of reasons, loosing blood being one of them. The reason why she couldn't get up was the same reason why Louis had to carry a recently shot AJ inside earlier in the season: she exerted herself too much, especially with the torn up leg; Lee couldn't get up because the infection had already spread too much.
Another thing too, Clementine probably had built-up immunities that Lee didn't get to have because she lived in the apocalypse for a significantly longer amount of time, so her body was better adapted to fighting all of the bacteria and viruses. Lee's body was still used to the old ways of life, so he couldn't fight it as long.
So, basically, the short answer is because Skybound wasn't about to let Clementine die, but the long answer is the same plus it's actually not as unrealistic as you may think.

by the end of the series i'm pretty sure it's canon that her eyesight is really bad. she's completely blind in one eye and can only see certain colors and light in the other

i do feel kinda bad for Violet but i dont regret saving Louis because i think being tongueless where the character can no longer communicate with others is worse than being blind in one eye and not having the best sight in one eye. Louis wont be able to properly communicate with outsiders which could put him in danger if he needed to alert someone violet on the other hand can communicate well she just cant see well and i know how dangerous that is in the world they live in but the chances of her being out alone is low. idk another factor is Louis loves to sing so his tongue being gone destroys his chances of ever doing that while Violet who doesnt do that all the time can do it when ever she wants to which is probably rare.
