- Center Theatre Group has been talking about new ways to inspire conversation and build community around art-and what that can look like while our stages are dark. We believe this can also be a powerful time of reflection, reimagining, and innovation around how we bring our artists, audiences, and community together. That’s why we’re sharing a new series of videos from members of the Center Theatre Group family. We asked them to speak to what theatre means to them right now and to share some of their favorite pieces of art. Art goes on. And so do we.
In this episode of the "Art Goes On Project," playwright Paula Vogel speaks to the power of art in this moment and reads a monologue from her play "How I Learned to Drive," which played the Mark Taper Forum in 1999.

Thank you, Paula. I 've been teaching your plays in my drama courses for years, students love them. Now, searching for new material, I've just seen this video. Thanks for this, too. Really moving!
