See, I'm exactly the opposite. I hate stupid comedy and I hate comedies that have to beat you over the head with the joke. They drag it out, you see it coming. Especially with the very awkward stuff. I don't like feeling awkward. Dumb & Dumber was funny, but the reason is because they didn't telegraph what was going to happen in most cases. It just happened, then moved on to the next joke. So it was funny. But now that I know what is going to happen, i can't watch it. It was a 1 time watch for me.
i saw Jim once in a club in canada, and this guy, let me tell you, has such a 'presence', you cannot escape to look at him. In less than 3 min, from his entrance to the dance floor, people already knew he was there and he had to leave quickly! I was happy i was just near the exit so i saw him twice from very close... His energy was amazing, he light up the entire place. It is hard to explain but he difinitely is special.
I don't see how it was floored, it portrayed the book quite well and Jim was really funny, plus his realisation of what Christmas means at the end was heartfelt.
Jim makes me laugh like no other and considering that fact, I still respect him most for the tears he brought me during the Truman show. Everybody feels like Truman sometimes.
Am i the only one who wants to see Jim Carey do The Riddler again in the next Batman movie if they have Nygma be an antagonist? Like take inspiration from the Arkham games for that version of riddler. I can't see anyone doing the riddler better than Carey even though Batman Forever was god awful he was a high point for the movie to me. Also (i know this has been said millions of times) Carey as Cletus Kasady in a Spider Man movie has to happen.

I wonder how many takes of that scene she probably ruined from bursting out into fits of laughter. Also had to be some kind of pressure knowing that Jim is doing something incredibly difficult but incredibly hilarious and if you laugh, especially in a take where he is nailing it, you will undo all the magic and make him have to do it all over again.

When Jim Carrey auditioned for The Grinch, a th time he was wrapping filming Man on the Moon and was so deep into Andy Kaufman's character that he had to do an impression of himself doing the Grinch.
I have a little joke for ya: A man and a woman are going to the hospital to have a baby. They are introduced to a machine that will give some of the pain to the father, so the woman will deliver the baby easier. They turn it on, but it doesn't seem to work, so they turn it off. They turn it back on, and it starts working. They set it to 10%, and the woman feels less pain. that crank it all the way up to 100%, and she is completely painless. However, the man doesn't seem to feel any pain. They just shrug it off, deliver a healthy baby, and when they come home they find the mail man dead on the porch.

I have a little joke for ya:
A man and a woman are going to the hospital to have a baby. They are introduced to a machine that will give some of the pain to the father, so the woman will deliver the baby easier. They turn it on, but it doesn't seem to work, so they turn it off. They turn it back on, and it starts working. They set it to 10%, and the woman feels less pain. that crank it all the way up to 100%, and she is completely painless. However, the man doesn't seem to feel any pain. They just shrug it off, deliver a healthy baby, and when they come home they find the mail man dead on the porch.

I'd put man on the moon higher. For much of the same reasons you mentioned. He couldn't put his own spin on this one, he was portraying an actual person. And he was totally amazing at it too! He should've received an award for this role in my opinion.
