- I used 12,000 Chase Ultimate Rewards points to book a Hyatt hotel stay in Europe for $0. I've been earning points on my Chase Sapphire Preferred and other credit cards too, so now I'm ready to use them for free travel like flights and hotels, and especially my first $0 Hyatt stay.

The checkbox for "use points" is a nice UX touch. That Hyatt Place hotel looks fancy! Since you will have a sofa bed, can I stay with you in Krakow? 😜
Yeah of course! As long as you agree to take us around the city and show us your favorite spots!

You’re welcome! Glad you liked it
Excellent well done video
Thank you so much! I’m happy you liked it!
Very solid video.
Thank you so much! I appreciate your kind words
Hyatt is a huge reason that Chase Points are so incredibly valuable, because of the upside that redeeming Chase Points to Hyatt an have. They definitely lack with their global footprint though, only having one hotel in Poland is crazy haha. I'm sure Marriott would have a lot more. Definitely cool to stay at the only Hyatt hotel in the country though haha. Have fun in Poland Jacob!
Thanks so much! Marriott has a ton of hotels in the main cities we're visiting in Poland, but they were crazy expensive compared to the Hyatt hotel
THANK YOU
You're welcome! Glad I could help!
Thanks for the video, this was really helpful to see! I am curious, without the 3,000 bonus points you received from Hyatt, would this method of booking (converting points) still be preferred over booking the same hotel with Ultimate Rewards points through the Chase Ultimate Rewards travel portal, which increases the value of points by 25%? Thanks!
Yes, I believe it would! I didn't put it in the video, but I researched what it would cost through the portal. The cheapest option I found was for just under 16,000 Chase points, but that was for 2 twin beds, not for the king bed option.I couldn't find the king bed on the Chase portal. Either way, the 12,000 points it cost to book the stay directly on Hyatt was cheaper and I can start earning status with Hyatt and sometimes when booking through a portal, the hotel doesn't honor your status or help you earn status. Hope that answers your question!
@@JacobsPointsAndProfit Awesome, this was really helpful, I appreciate it!
I believe with the redemptions you don't pay any taxes and fees which can really add up to a LOT if you're booking retail
Yeah, I think only in rare instances you would have to pay additional costs beyond the points which is amazing
Wow how do you find such cheap Hyatt hotels???? I never find 3 nights for 12,000 points
It was a category 1 Hyatt with 2 of the nights being off-peak, so 3,500 points for those nights and 5,000 points for the standard night. It was a really good deal!
Now do airlines, u should have enough pts for two tickets??
Yep, absolutely! I have a few videos on the channel redeeming my points for flights
For some reason I misheard the name of that hotel as "crackhouse"
I don’t think I’d pay this many points for that hotel stay lol
So I'm learning here, if you want to transfer to Hyatt or any transfer partners you have to have an account to where you're transferring to.......in other words I need a Hyatt account right. If so how do I get these accounts?
Every loyalty program (hotels and airlines) should be free to sign up. I can't think of one that isn't free. Then, go to the company's website or search for them on Google and most of the time on the front page near the top of the screen there will be an option to join the loyalty program. From there, you will enter your personal details and email. Once you've completed their form, you'll be given an account number and that's what you'll enter on the Chase website when transferring your points. Let me know if you have any other questions!
@@JacobsPointsAndProfit thanks for the info.
So you sent 100 nights at Hyatt hotels in one year? What did that cost you?
No I didn’t stay 100 night at Hyatt. I’m sorry if I didn’t explain everything properly but this was my first Hyatt booking ever
