  • What is resampling and how do we do it in REAPER?
These questions answered and more int this video.
    What is reasampling?
It is essentially taking the output of one track and recording to another, usually for the purpose of further sonic manipulation in a sampler that wouldn't be possible without committing to new files.
    Routing in reaper
    3 tracks are needed
One for sound source (a synth with fx), one for recording the sound in realtime, and one for a sampler (ReaSamplomatic5000).
Track 1 (source) sends to track 2 at unity gain. Track one master send is disabled.
Track to is set to Record Mode: Output Stereo
After recording the interesting sounds are imported into ReaSamplomatic using the "Import from arrange" button or CMD-Option / CTRL-ALT - Drag into the plugin.
In ReaSamplomatic5k we can further process the sound with pitch bend, pitch offset, looping, playing chords and trying different resample (the other kind 😉 ) modes for better or worse quality sound when stretching.
