    Thanks Kenny for those precious lessons and tips.
    I usually use a battery plug-in for my productions that allows me to assign each instrument to a separate track. There are excellent free plug-ins, which make it possible to change the volume and pan of the different elements.
    But thank you to find out in each video the possibilities that have our DAW without having to spend money on third party plugins.👍

    You have said that you wish to hang back and not bring attention to yourself regarding REAPER. Well my friend you are blowing up faster than an Inflate-A-Mate doll in a West Hollywood motel indeed as the face of REAPER with your awesome instructional video gifts of knowledge. The presentation and production value just keep getting better and better. Welcome to REAPER celebrity Kenny and by the way - my 3 cats say to please do let the cat in!

    Wow! 💙💜💚💛I finally got this working the way I want. I use Loop Loft drum samples & loops and Midi file drum tracks with a JV-1010 sound module but I always wanted to combine the two methods and use Loop Loft drum samples (which world class) with my pro midi file drum tracks. I have now got it working with the help of this amazing video. Professional midi drum tracks using the Loop Loft samples together (no JV-1010) - SOUNDS AMAZING. Thank you Kenny again and again for coming through Big-Time. Your attention to detail and your teaching style are simply the best. Appreciate all your time and effort.

    Another simpler way is to use free sitala sampler plugin where you can control all the drum samples with one track straight out of the box... But this alternative is also worth knowing

    • @REAPERMania
      @REAPERMania  Před 2 lety +3

      Right. But then you can't adjust the volume, pan and effects in the REAPER mixer. Of course you can still create busses to that too.

    Cool, almost exactly what I was looking for! I'm looking for how to use the NI Battery with 1 output at the beginning, and then at the end of the rhythm creation stage, add as many outputs as I actually used the instruments in the song. Is it possible?

    I always like your videos (thumbs up), But I especially like this one because this was the one feature in another DAW that I could not figure out how to do yet in Reaper!
    Question: What midi record mode do you use to keep looping while recording the midi in this video? (I havent tried it yet)

    Poor scale solution, when changing HiDPI settings this way it makes programs blurry on 4k monitors. This has always been the case even before Win10. Reaper needs to solve this issue similar to the way that Studio One or Bitwig have. I don't like using Bitwig but it has the best VST scaling of them all, Studio One being second (imho) due to being natively HiDPI. Regards.

      if you have your samples organized, without too many clicks you can use
      mpl_List next/previous sample in directory for focused RS5k.lua
      OR
      mpl_List next/previous sample in directory for RS5k on selected track.lua
      which are included in his RS5k tools package available via ReaPack

    Great Tutorial my question is this question is this once you get finished record everything on one track how do you separate them to be on separate channels if everything is on the midi channel?

    • @terrygray7465
      @terrygray7465 Před 2 lety +2

      I think the point is to leave the midi parts together on one track. The samples playing the actual audio are separate on the mixer, so there’s no need to split the midi up. Some find it better editing the midi in context to the other parts - you can slide the clap around while looking at the snare placement. Then the audio can be “printed” to separate tracks. Reaper makes this really easy.

  •  Před 2 lety

    I don't really get the point of the 2nd method.
    The samples are already assigned to different audio tracks, what is the point to have them on separate midi channel ?
    How is made the routing of each sample to a specified midi note ? Is it automatic ? (I don't see any differences between the 2 methods for the import of the items on sampler tracks.)

    • @REAPERMania
      @REAPERMania  Před 2 lety

      The 2nd way doesn't require you to choose notes with the MIDI keyboard in the RS5k plugin like I showed with the first method. You can just assign the send to MIDI channels and use the plugin to choose the notes.
