I'll be honest. SIA licence training mostly covers anti-terrorism, so some security see people taking photos and recording as part of the planning phase of terrorism, hence why some security believe that intervention could de-rail their potential plan.
I thought SIA licence training was firstly how to react with the public they may encounter followed by protection of private property with ant-terrorism way down the line. Any CIA licence holder surely must be trained on the difference between overt and covert activities. Surely any person or group openly filming especially in full view of CCTV cameras wouldn't automatically raise terrorism alerts.
Yeah, you would think so, but as I remember, they only cover that when a person does SIA CCTV Training badge.

Some praise for the chaps at the start of the video. All you photographers are quite full on but they treated you respectfully and answered calmly and openly.

I am a former Licensing Officer - not London, which has different regulations (TfL).
In my experience, it was always necessary to have a Taxi or PH plate displayed in a prominent position in order for it to be easily identifiable as such vehicle.
Just because it might be within TfL’s regs, it doesn’t necessarily make it right.
Spot on mate. They try and be as stealth as possible with badge and plates to avoid everything they can.

I had a similar thing with my van outside a shop. For some reason my van was the only vehicle that set the sensor off when parked stationary in a certain (disabled) parking bay. I got banned from the shop even though it was the only disabled bay.

I think the police use those cameras with red indicator lights purposely to confuse us as myself, and im sure others assume the same, that a solid red light or blinking red light indicate something is on standby or turned off.

The entrance is recessed within the property boundary and therefore when you are at the door you ARE on private property despite your claim otherwise. The floor is marble and its quite clear.
All forces are registered at Companies House as independent separate companies .. each with it's own directors I believe (if my memory serves me well)
in my council all taxi plates should be clear and visible and out side so it can be taken of by council to suspended case of any issues and am a taxi driver of a hack public hire

Beating around the bush about something that’s legal is pathetic.
Those Cops in the interaction shown in the latter half of this video seemed considerably less arbitrarily authoritarian/bullying than cops, (particularly in the MET) often are and seemed willing to listen to The Auditors points but were they just humoring them because they detected that they weren't your average dumb dupe victim plebs?
HOWEVER they STILL seemed to fail to grasp the importance of taking the opportunity to give the security guards a lecture on what they did wrong!
It's as if The Police see their job as being to merely apply sanctions/arrest offenders and completely ignore offenses if they are comitted by an initial complainant.
This falls way short of what is appropriate and should constitute Professional Police Work.
It is just as if the mentalities employed as 'police officers' see their job as being to police upon the basis of what constitutes normal human behaviour rather than what is legal or illegal!
