  • If you are looking to zipline Las Vegas, then Slotzilla should be on the top of your list. Here is our GoPro POV video of us riding the SlotZilla Zoomline zipline over the Fremont Street Experience in Downtown Las Vegas at night. The zoomline zipline has you flying prone or superman style, starting out over 11 stories high and ziplining through 1,750 ft at speed of up to 40 MPH. Pure Bucket List Fun! Slotzilla also has a lower zipline that starts at about half the height of the Zoomline - 77 feet high - and has riders in a more traditional seated position that runs halfway down the Fremont Street Experience. Each of the zipline rides are scheduled in 20 minute blocks, so just pick a ride time slot and head on over to the tower when it's your time.

    @MakeItWithCalvin Před 2 lety

    I did this the other day with a friend and it was pretty fun! The disclaimer I will add is I have done a lot of ziplines in various areas so take my opinions with that in mind:
    The actual ride is pretty short, but the locale is pretty interesting, and laying down is a really unique experience!
    Do be prepared for it to take a while to work your way to the top level, it took us about 20 minutes to go from the start of the queue to getting harnessed up and about another 10 minutes to get into the lift to go up.
    It is best to get tickets in advance, although when we went thankfully there was an immediate opening so we took it! Helps we went on a weekday, I can only imagine how nuts things get on the weekend.
    Things move fast, so make sure to listen to the staff when they tell you to do things!
    They don't allow you to use personal items to film with due to the risk of them falling, they do give you a bag to stick your loose items in that gets clipped to you. You can get a GoPro from them, we did not look into that so I can't comment on it. You can film with personal stuff right up until it is time to get clipped into the wire.
    I appreciated that there was at least 2 staff that double-checked things during you getting into the harness, and when you were getting clipped into the trolley mechanism.
    I will say if you are in the area, it is worth checking out. The location makes it a really unique experience and the flying sensation is something you can't explain. I have gone skydiving and it isn't the same!

      Thanks for the info! I plan to do this in a few weeks. Also, if you are Really into ziplines I Def recommend the "Cloud Scraper" which flys over the Royal Gorge Canyon at 1,300 ft above the AR. river. Its right next to the Royal Gorge Bridge in Canon Springs, CO. which is about 1 hour S of Colorado Springs. It is Literally breathtaking : )

      Princess Unikitty Unfortunately you can not wear glasses on the Zipline. I was there back in June 2017 and they made me take my glasses off. The good thing thought is that everyone receives a “travel bag” with them so that they can store their belongings before they make it to the other side.

    • @Familyvacationhub
      @Familyvacationhub  Před 7 lety +7

      Unlike a rollercoaster, the SlotZilla Zoomline doesn't have drops that usually give you the butterflies. If you are not a fan of heights it might be a bit scary. I am not a huge fan of heights and I still loved it. If you try the zipline instead of the zoomline, it is half the height, half the length, has you sitting upright and is slower, so that might be for you if you are not one for extreme rides.

      The FAQ does say that "Unfortunately, cameras aren’t allowed on the attraction." When I went on the Zoomline, I was wearing the GoPro wrist strap - like wearing a big watch - and they didn't have any problems with me wearing it. I am not sure if this is still the case or they have a strict policy no camera policy regardless of how you secure it during your ride. I am positive that you can't just hold it during your ride as there are a lot of people below you and you are zipping by at 40 MPH.
