    Thanks for posting this video. I have the same year 03’ Sahara with the auto transmission as well. Your video is the only one with automatic. Saved me a lot of time!

    Why didn't you drain the transfer case first? Or is that just leftover fluid?

    I'm stuck on the last two bolts blocked by the catalytic converter. Hard to get any leverage and I can't break them free. Any recommended tricks or should I just remove the exhaust?

      I used 1/4 ratchet with 9/16 socket. It’s tight but if you line it up just right you can break it loose

    So I have a 95 wrangler 4cy 2.5 with the 231 transfer case it's bad what other jeeps would be interchangeable

    Loved ur camera angles, quick and to the point. So many ppl dont get good pictures, but yours was very clear. Sadly, I stripped one of my top bolts, now stuck on that. Not sure if putting the other nuts back on, may help relieve pressure on the nut up top? Or does it matter?

    Would the manual and auto trans be the same if it were the 241OR

    So, is it true on all Jeeps that the skid plate isn’t the only thing holding the transmission and transfer case up? There’s another bracket underneath? I need to replace my transfer case and was wondering about how to do it

    Totally off subject of your video, but do you recommend redoing all of the power and ground leads with 2 gauge wire? By the way, your early videos on removing/installing the transmission mount and transfer case were super helpful when I worked on my TJ. I went with the Novak upgrade as well. This LS swap is going to be bad-ass when complete!

      I would personally wire the vehicle according to the current being used.

    So I have a 95 jeep Cherokee and a np231J transfer case , and we found a hole in the bottom of it kinda near where the chain is and was wondering what your thoughts was about it

    • @TestDontguess
      @TestDontguess  Před 2 lety

      Hard to say without physically seeing it or taking it apart. But if the chain is loose enough it will wear though the case

    Excellent video - thank you very much. Getting ready to drop my transfer case for some maintenance. I do have one question though and that is about the fluid (ATF) you show draining out between the transmission and the transfer case. I do not believe the two share fluids so this should pretty much indicate a bad seal correct - either bad transmission output seal or bad transfer case input seal. I hope that all makes since and look forward to hearing your opinion

      did you maybe figure out which fluid it was? i’m about to do mine soon and wondering if i should worry about my transfer case or transmission leaking fluid and which to refill

      @@marcosderosa8492 on mine - my auto transmission output shaft seal was bad when I dropped my transfer case so I had to replace it as well
