3:30 I think you are underestimating how big of an issue this is here. Since these ridiculous bans have gone into effect, the maternal and infant death rates have skyrocketed in red states to higher than anywhere else in "1st world" countries (not that we can be considered that anymore with the way things are going). women are dying because they can't get abortions for super high risk pregnancies. Babies who should have been aborted are dying painful deaths after they are born which they could have been spared with an abortion early on. Children who have been raped are now required to die to bring their rapists babies into the world. Now they want to restrict the right to travel when pregnant. This is a huge human rights violation, not just by US standards by by UN standards. And Trump wants to make it nationwide. A houseplant would be a better option than him, but I think Harris is a very good option. I guess it would be difficult for someone who lives outside of the country to understand. Nearly every woman in America is rising up to support her. Not because she's a woman, but because she will give them back the freedom that the republicans are trying so hard to take away. She's' already leading, as of the last poll. I'm not at all surprised. Voting for Trump will be like voting for Hitler.
It should not be shocking that the most important issue for many women (including myself) is wanting to have a choice in their own reproductive healthcare & bodily autonomy.
I've been enjoying the political videos, for what it's worth. It's a messy subject as some have noted, but it's good for your channel engagement, and I enjoy the content.
In 1968 it was LBJ who decided not to be the nominee. Hubert Humphrey stepped in and lost the election to Richard Nixon
Humphrey was a wonderful, wonderful guy, but before going into politics he was just your friendly neighborhood pharmicist. Count on a veteran prosecutor to do a lot better, especially one-on-one against a crook. As Harris has said, she knows her opponent's type. She was made for this confrontation, and it was made for her.

Haley’s legal first name is indeed Nimarata, her middle name is Nikki - a name that her family called her growing up and that means “little one” in Punjabi. She used the name long before she entered politics.

Oh, she definitely has issues with what she did as a prosecutor and it will all come out. She talks about her time as a prosecutor, which was decades ago but she says nothing about what she did as a VP because she did nothing as a VP.

Her father is Afro-Jamaican. Whether or not she identifies as African American, I don't know, but she does have African heritage.

We have lost our ability in our country to be able to express our differing opinions regarding our government with civility. Careful when going down the political route Kabir. It can negatively effect channels when things are taken the wrong way by certain people. It’s best to stay politically neutral by not really taking sides or anything.

I watched a video of Kamala's 1st presidential campaign rally since Biden made his announcement yesterday. I was very impressed with her speech. So much so, that I've watched it again, several times now.
As a Democrat, last week I was concerned about the future of our country, but now I'm feeling more optimistic. She definitely has my vote. It has nothing to do with her sex or color of her skin. Listen to her speech and you'll know why I want her to be our next President. Long live Democracy!

VP Hubert Humphrey took over as the nominee in 1968. One big difference was that Lyndon Johnson dropped out March 31st. Humphrey came very close, despite the RFK assassination and a terrible convention, but lost to Richard Nixon.

I was very disappointed when I heard Biden had withdrawn, but I’m becoming quite optimistic about Kamala Harris, and I will definitely vote for her. However, I have frequently said I would vote for a rock in the road before voting for Trump.

Abortion rights are a HUGE issue for women. Infant and maternal mortality rates are on the rise. Women are being denied treatment for life threatening conditions like ectopic pregnancies (they're are currently lawsuits in Texas).
Your perception from where you are is a disadvantage. This has aligned a majority of the Democrats and left the Republicans scrambling. The choice this year is a 80yo convicted 34 count felon vs a 59 yo prosecutor VP.
Kamala was a diversity hire and not a good Vice President.

She’s kinda been looked at as a goof over the past four years. So much so that they pretty much kept her out of the spotlight. Her speeches were godawful. Repeating vague political statements with no substance over and over, looking like a deer in headlights in debates, etc.

Californian here where she was a prosecutor at, turns out she did more harm than good as a prosecutor here in the state. She targeted, specifically black men, to have harsher sentences when possessing marijuana, even though she’s hinted she had some herself. This greatly contributed to many black families here in California to be broken down, leading them into poverty and create division and hostility of race relations. She even was forced to release an innocent man from death row, twice, because she was adamant to fill our prisons with too many minor demeanors for free labor, which last I check is slavery.
Speaking of which, in recent years she’s been touted as “African American” but she’s technically not and a lot of blacks are calling BS over it. Her family background is that her mother is Indian (I think she relates more to the Indian culture) and her father is Jamaican whose ancestry goes back to one of the largest slave owners in Jamaica. Keep in mind, she has been pushing reparations for slavery non stop for at least a decade now. She switched to being “black” after she got in a seat, thanks to social climbing being Mr Brown’s mistress. A lot of blacks here are calling out on her jumping the wagon on being black and having the nerve to race bait. Oh, turns out she was mostly raised in Canada.
Highly recommend you check out the Democrat primary 2020 video where Tulsi Gabbard slams into Harris’ work in California that it made Harris the first to drop out of the race. To me, as a Californian, she is equal slime as the Duchess of Sussex. Social climber, hustler, race baiter, backstabbed, etc. The parallel is amazing actually.
11:44 The 1968 election was a big upset when Lyndon Johnson chose not to run for a third term at the 11th hour. The other MAJOR factor was that the Democratic party was split due to George Wallace breaking away and taking a large portion of the party with him. Wallace was also shot during the election and crippled for life spending years in the hospital but he still won five states just as a protest vote! The sitting Vice President Hubert Humphrey was suddenly thrown into being the candidate and he lost to former Vice President Richard Nixon 191 to 301. So the Democrats really need to learn from their mistakes.

Kabir, the channel 'Leeja Miller' told me that reactors can react to her vids as long as they properly link to them, so you needn't worry about copyright claims or strikes. So if you want to balance your channel out (from your majority right-wing content), her vids are a good option. Although she describes herself as centrist, IMO she's left-of-center. But she mostly sticks to the facts.
I count zero Republican analysts in this video. Harris did poorly running on her own in 2020 before Biden chose her.
Kamala already has a lot of great copy and she can write for herself, just like Obama could.

I'm voting for Kamala
I believe you are correct when you said she also needs to reach out to young people between 18 and 45 about the things that concerns them. Besides what you mentioned other things that need to be considered is having affordable higher education without going into hundreds of thousands of dollars in debt only to end up with a minimum wage job. In the 1960s when a voter had to be 21 years old or older they had the Vietnam War and the draft which were not popular and encouraged young people become activists to make changes. I believe we need to listen to the concerns of young people and not just those young people who are between 18 to 45 and eligible to vote. We need to listen to the concerns of those who are 17 and younger especially those who are in the foster care system. For many of them once they turn 18 they are out of the foster care system with a large number of them ending up being homeless and committing various types of crime to get by. Young people need to believe that they matter for them to vote and for them to become active in politics. Now I would not recommend that any person follow Donald Trump’s example and only run for president of the United States of America. Start off at the bottom such as school board member or town council member. After they had completed that task they can decide whether they want to continue on or not.
I appreciate you doing this video and it's given me a little bit of perspective coming from someone not from here. It's kind of funny for me hearing talk of "messaging, how she presents herself, policies, slogans." It's how politics used to and should be, probably. The problem is trump is such a scumbag narcissistic bully that American politics have been dragged down so far into the mud that, with only 2 choices, it's so reductive that for us the subtle details don't really matter. It's either a wanna-be fascist dictator, or a semi-normal politician that will say things and probably not do them. The world decided long ago fascism is horrific, so let's go Harris.

She is going to need some serious coaching if she is going to actually debate Trump. Even Hillary Clinton couldn't hold her own against him. Kamala has a very bad record and her past is far from exemplary. She polled at less than 1% when she ran for President and had to drop out. We will see how it goes but the Obama's have not endorsed her so that is an interesting twist particularly considering that two days ago Biden angerly called Obama "The Puppet Master." Having the endorsement of Elizabeth Warren points out just how far to the Left Kamala truly is, which will probably work against her as well. She was appointed Border Czar by Biden but she took months to even show up at the border, giggled about it whe asked about it by the media, then picked a place that had very few crossings and simply said "there was no border crisis." That did not sit well with most Americans and as anyone can see, the border is still in serious crisis. One of the top issues in this election if not the top issue is our open border. Also, having Biden's endorsement is no feather in her cap because the only one with a lower approval reating than Biden, is Harris. The main reasons for putting Harris in, are that she can claim the funds that have been donated to the Biden/Harris campaign, nobody else would be able to access those millions of campaign dollars and she will be eligible (not promised) for the delegate votes that are committed to Biden/Harris from the primary elections. Putting her in there is nothing more than addressing a few political pressures like campaign funds, delegate votes, the fact that she is female and mixed race (I think Islander and Black, not sure though). None of these are good reasons to be elected President of the United States in my opinion, and that is all she has got. Harris is not a strong candidate for beating Trump at this point. That 50 million that has "flooded in" to the campaign was part of the 90 million that was pledged that was being withheld since the debate when donors said that they would not send in those pledged dollars. There is plenty of money in the Biden/Harris Campaign Fund already so that is not an issue. The issue comes if the Democratic Convention becomes an open convention and many more candidates can try to be the Democratic Presidential Candidate. That could really get nasty and create a lot of division and bad feelings within the party. If Biden had resigned now instead of just agreeing not to run for re-election, then Kamala would be a sitting president at the time of the convention and would almost automatically be the party nominee. As it stands now, anybody can possibly throw their hat in the rin and that would get messy. Timing of Biden dropping out was good though, because it took the media attention away from the attempt on Trump for a bit, and all of the unanswered questions related to that incident.

It’s interesting to see that women are so upset about Trumps policies on abortion when he supports legal abortion up to 15 weeks and supports for states to govern themselves on this matter which gives women MORE control over their bodies because their vote goes farther in their own state. But even so, I don’t know why this is such a huge thing, for me, the economy, inflation, immigration are the most important things. I’m not a Trump supporter, but I am educated on policies for both sides. I vote policy, not party.

Before Biden stepped down, I was seriously considering not bothering to vote this year. I might actually get out and vote for Kamala. We'll see. In the end, I live in a very red (conservative) state and feel like my vote likely won't matter anyway, so it might not be worth the trouble.

I think a lot of people felt this way. Biden wasn't instilling much confidence, but stepping down did the Dems a huge favor.

I live in a red state, and I typically vote with conservative candidates. I vote for 3rd party candidates in presidential elections though just to push that option

I don’t know if I agree with much of this video. The one thing I’m seeing from people of color is that they’re being tired of being told who to vote for just because of the color of their skin. I want to know what she’s going to do about lowering crime, theft, prices, and war. How is she going to stop illegal immigration, the war in Ukraine, how is she going to stop what’s going on between Gaza and Israel?
But I do think many young voters will change and vote for her because now they feel like they’ve been heard by Biden dropping out and a younger person running.

Crime is way down. America is not involved in any war. Prices ... well, believe it or not, there's no magic wand the US president can wave around to lower prices. That's actually your job. Buy cheap, refuse to do business with those who jack up prices, stay consistent, convince all your friends to do similarly. Market pressure is the only thing that will lower prices.

I'd do some more research on Kamala , she is actually quite popular she has been a Senator, The Attorney General Of California, and Vice President of the US. She has brought prosecutions and taken down HUGE Companies. This woman is powerful. Trump's record doesn't compare. She is highly respected and feared. You may not be familiar with her and that is understandable not living in the states. I'd recommend you watch quite a few more in detail videos on Kamala. Just to clear up a few things, Nikki Haley was always called Nikki from when she was little. Her legal name is Nimarata Nikki Randhawa Haley. You can't just go on what Vivek Ramaswamy had to say about it. If you want to be fair to Kamala Harris, she has a bigger resume than Barack Obama had when he ran. San Francisco district attorney, Attorney General of California, United States Senator, Vice President of the United States. Interestingly, I've just read that one of Haley's PACs has just announced its money will be going to Harris. In any case, I agree with a lot of the posts here that say you need to stay out of politics. You have every right to do whatever content you want, but it's dangerous. I'm afraid you may lose some subs.

I was 100% sure Biden was going to lose, no question in my mind. I breathed a sigh of relief when he dropped out, because now Democrats have a real chance, and I believe Kamala Harris can be very charismatic, and I hope she can lean into that.
It's too early to tell if Harris will be for sure the Democratic nominee. That said, I wouldn't write her off just yet either. Before she became VP, she was pretty popular amongst liberals and I think with her being younger and with what Trump is threatening to do she could do this if she's smart. I won't say I'm not nervous about this change, but as long as the people calling for Biden to step down put their money with their mouth is and VOTE I think she's got a chance. Also, overnight a lot of grass roots campaign raised more money for Harris than had been raised for Biden.
This isn't over, so American's shouldn't get lax, and neither should Harris.

They can, but they are constrained by law. They can't just bring someone else in and give them the nomination, not when people have now voted for Biden as their candidate, I'm pretty sure that's not quite legal to do as it is.

I personally think Kamala is weaker than Biden, even with his deterioration. Kamala is incompetent at best.
If she gets the nomination next month at the DNC convention, watch how much the media and the campaign messaging (they're both the same thing) will be about Trump's character than trying to push why she should be elected, it's on purpose and to take the spotlight from how bad of a candidate she is. With the support of the party leadership, there's no reason to think she won't get that nomination.

Nimarata Nikki Randhawa Haley - if she went by her first name, Trump would've been referring to her as Nimrod in a heartbeat. That would have become his nickname for her. She had to go with Nikki to avoid that constant attack.
