Congratulations, you just found the best new metal band to come along in decades. In their first five years of existence, they put themselves on par with the greatest bands of metal’s golden age. Other reviewers have described them as alien superheroes disguised as young women, angels, princesses of metal, and angry bridesmaids. They recently went on a year-and-a half hiatus while they searched for a new bassist. They announced the new bassist in October 2022 (see below) and dropped their first new song, “Judgement Day” on December 22. Some background:
They were formed in 2016 from the remnants of a legendary all-girl Japanese metal band called Destrose (yes, all-girl metal has been a thing in Japan since at least 1981). Miho (bass, chief headbanger and founder of the band) had a vision of a new band in the style of the great European bands of the golden age of metal. She recruited her former bandmate Haruna (drums, 4'9" “pocket nuclear reactor”); they needed two world-class guitarists, and so they went and found Midori and Miyako, who were with other groups. The four of them then found Asami, the singer, who was doing soul and blues at the time (she was also trained in ballet).
Miyako has composed a little more than half of their music, with Miho composing a lot of their thrashier songs in collaboration with Mao, the lead composer of another band called Lightbringer. Midori has also been getting into the act, and they regularly perform a song written by Haruna as well. Asami writes most of the lyrics and is also getting involved in composing.
In mid-2021, Miho left the band she had founded, for personal reasons. They recently announced their new bassist, Fami, who is a young phenom and herself a composer and multi-instrumentalist. Their first song with Fami is “Judgement Day” czcams.com/video/m3uGjp-P7DI/video.html
The instrumentalists studied all the great historical metal bands going back to Purple and Sabbath, through Maiden, Priest, Metallica, Helloween, Slayer etc. They have incorporated some of the best of each of those bands into their arsenal, and have created a sound that is fresh and cutting edge while paying tribute to the old masters. They toured with Dragonforce in 2019, and word from those in attendance was that next time around, it will be the ladies headlining.
They do everything from soulful power ballads to heavy thrash. Almost every song includes face-melting solos by Miyako and Midori. The two guitarists are quite different in style and tone. Midori (blonde ponytail) is the extrovert and speed demon; Miyako is the introvert, with the more soulful feel (though she can also shred like crazy). Midori uses a cleaner tone, Miyako uses more distortion, pinch harmonics and pedal effects. The contrast makes their duets rich and dynamic. It doesn’t hurt that either one can smoke most of the shredders in the classic metal bands. As another reviewer said, "It seems criminal these two are allowed to be in the same band."

Miyako is also a virtuoso concert pianist, and was headed for a career in classical music, before picking up the guitar. The band is named after the Grammy winning Halestorm song, Love Bites (So Do I). Asami has been onstage with Halestorm performing this song.

Have you ever watched early James Bond? Think Goldfinger, the man with the midas touch. I'm sure there's something in there for Miyako. "Goldfinger", the woman with the Golden touch. Fami is difficult. Perhaps "Fabulous" Fami, or "Fab". I haven't seen any suggestions on her. Of course, Asami is The Voice.

The winners of the GOLDEN GODS Award in different years and in various categories were such famous bands and musicians,such as : Black Sabbath, Iron Maiden, Motörhead, Twisted Sister, Ozzy Osbourne, Lemmy Kilmister, Zakk Wylde, Nikki Sixx, Joe Perry, Judas Priest, Anthrax, Slayer, Saxon, Nightwish, Rammstein, Sabaton, Children of Bodom, Arch Enemy (and this is not a complete list).
LOVEBITES is a Japanese all-female heavy metal band, formed in 2016 by former Japanese heavy metal band DESTROSE members Miho( bass,backing vocals) and Haruna(drums). The band has successfully performed at various major international rock-festivals many times .In the spring of 2018, LOVEBITES performed on the Japanese leg of the Warped Tour. In August 2018, they performed at Wacken Open Air (Germany), becoming the first Japanese all-female rock band to perform at the festival. Also in August 2018 they performed on the main stage of Bloodstock Open Air (UK). In 2019, LOVEBITES performed at the Download Festival in Donington (UK) and Download Festival in Madrid (Spain). Their performance in Donington was named by the festival organizers and Metal Hammer magazine as one of the highlights of the festival! In the same year they performed at the Graspop Metal Meeting (Belgium) and the Summer Sonic Festival (Japan). Unfortunately, the Covid pandemic that began in 2020 prevents LOVEBITES from performing at festivals and forced a drastic reduction of concerts.
LOVEBITES is a phenomenal band, all the ladies are talented musicians! Over 5 years (2017-2021) they have recorded about 50 original songs and all the songs are very good ! In February 2023, the 4th studio album "Judgment Day" was released (+10 new songs).

🐺Midori (blond hair) has been playing the piano since she was two years old and the electric organ since she was eight. She started studying guitar at the age of 20. Super guitarist, "Crazy Shredder". She surpasses many male guitarists in speed and technique of playing the guitar.

🐺Miyako (black hair) has been playing the piano since the age of three, received a classical education (piano) and wanted to pursue a career as a pianist. She has been playing the guitar since the age of 18. Super guitarist! They call her "The Golden Touch" and she is a real musical genius. Miyako is the main composer of the band, she wrote 50% of the music.
* In terms of teamwork , synchronization / harmonization of guitars , Midori and Miyako today are perhaps the best pair of guitarists in the world playing metal. One music critic said that two guitarists of this level (Midori and Miyako) in the same band is a crime!😊
🐺Asami started with R&B and soul music . She studied classical ballet for about 16 years (this is noticeable in her movements on stage, especially the movements of her hands). Started ballet lessons at the age of two. After leaving school, Asami lived for some time in the US, where she came to study jazz and hip hop dance. Plays the piano. Asami wrote most of the lyrics of the band's songs.
🐺Fami is 20 years old, plays bass, keyboards, guitar, writes songs, sings. She has already released her solo album, which she dedicated to graduating from school. Despite his youth, Fami has experience of collaboration with famous musicians..

Best and most genuine first time reaction to Lovebites I’ve yet seen. People who appreciate good music and appreciate talent when they come across it do exactly what you just did. You’ve been well and truly bitten. Asami is an outstanding vocalist, a lovely human being and 4’10”. Best band, best (female) vocalist I’ve heard in 50 years of listening to rock. They now have a catalogue of 60 songs that are played to this standard, be it live or studio.
Honey, if you think that was something, you should see them live! Is it live or is it memorex? Believe it, it's live! Throw their four albums in the air and which ever song it falls on, is great! Have a blast. I found them a year ago and they are, by far, my favorite band.

Midori and Miyako (we just call them M&M, lol) are known for their epic back-and-forth guitar solos. All five of these ladies (including new bassist Fami) are among the most virtuoso talents today, not just in their native Japan, but in the world!
Yes, you’ve just witnessed greatness, no matter it’s just an MV. It’s usual that reacting to Lovebites for the very first time is just jaw-dropping. These women are extremely talented, skillful and versatile exceptional musicians and so relentless. You’ve haven’t seen anything yet, just scratched the tip of the iceberg. Those twin lead guitar solos by Midori and Miyako are already legendary, in just six years. Their live performances are outstanding.
These ladies can play. They are probably the most musically talented hard music band active today.
This is what real girl power looks like! Taking femininity to a whole new level of greatness. Instead of trying to imitate the guys like we do in the West, they are going full bore in the other direction, and I'm here for it. Some of the best musicianship I have seen in my life and I'm old enough to have been at those concerts in the 80's...the glory years of metal.

Funny thing is some of us who have heard their songs thousands of times still have the same reaction--sheer amazement and awe. The disconnect between their look and their sound is something a lot of the Japanese all-woman bands have exploited, but none are quite as startling as Lovebites and Band-Maid.

Yes, my favorite and best ladies in metal !! M&M rule 🤘🎸🎸🤘you should not try Holy cow, but Holy War or Swan song with Chopin intro. Yes they are tiny but big powerfull. Saw them 4,5 years back starting their European tour 😊and yes every schoolgirl in the Netherlands is bigger…. Best 15 euro’s ever spend.
These ladies are simply fantastic. Their skill and talent are incredible. I highly recommend their live performance of A Frozen Serenade as your next listen. It is more chill than this song, but still powerful and shows off some more of their awesome skills.

They love European style power metal and old school heavy metal.
Sorry but I LMAO watching your face and this is only a MV. You haven't really heard this band till you experience them LIVE. Asami the vocalist at 4' 10" commands the stage like Floor and thunders out over the metal madness. The drummer Haruna is 4' 9" but beats that kit like it stole her boyfriend. The dual lead guitars are the best out there period, despite being polar opposites. Midori/blond is the Flash/Shred Queen while Miyako is the Melodic Queen. The bassist is new, Fami but she is another world class musicians with insane talent. May I suggest a change of pace where Miyako a world class pianist does the Chopin etude piano intro into Swan Song LIVE. The best metal band musicianship wise playing today. I love Nightwish and Sabaton but this band is something really special. Welcome to the Wolfpack (fan base), for those of us enjoying them since 2017 it is a treat to watch new fans discover this experience. They are an absolutely amazing band. It took me a bit to get used to the singer's Japanese accent, but the band it super tight. This is the first time hearing this song and I love it..... I believe this is the first album with a new bassist, and she sounded epic. ❤️❤️❤️ this band, especially live.

Yes another of the amazing all female metal bands and one of the ones who sing in English so subtitles are necessary to catch all the words but worth it.
Lovebites are great! Them and Band-Maid are leaders of the new generation of Japanese metal bands that have been coming out in recent years. (There are others as well...too many to list here). They are super talented and have great energy. Their new album just came out a couple of days ago too...that's where this song is from. I can't wait to hear the whole album! As a woman keep in mind these ARE their stage outfits! As an old bar band roadie I spent a lot of time giving foot rubs to the dancers (and they worked in Go Go boots not heels). I think their hubbies bought a light set just to reduce the amount time I could do that.

If you think was good. Wait till you see Stand and Deliver, it's their newest. All 5 of these ladies is very multi talented. Fami Bass, all of 20 is a very accomplished, guitarist, and pianist, composer and vocalist. Midori the blonde guitarist, Shes an award winning body builder. Asami Vocals, I understand she's an excellent ballet dancer. Haruna Drums Nicknamed Little Big Engine all 4'9 of her. Is also a very good piano player. Miayko guitar long black hair is a top notch classical pianist. There's a video called Burden Of Tine where she plays Guitar and keyboard at same time. I highly recommend checking out Band-Maid and Nemophila. All top notch.

I wanted to leave a comment for a band suggestion you should make a reaction video for next. after I saw some of the content on your channel, it seems you also need to get to know them. They are Voice of Baceprot, a three-member heavy metal rock band from Indonesia. They have already made their trip for shows in europe 2 times in 2021 and 2022 and performed at wacken open air.
I recommend you react to their singles like, God Allow me please to play music, School Revolution, Not public Property, and PMS (Perempuan Merdeka Seutuhnya or Women are completely free in English). or you can also react to the songs they have cover like enter sandman, sabotage, or got the time. You can also watch them live like when they appear at the Rennes, Wacken, or Pasiwali festivals.
I hope my recommendations reach you and you can make reaction videos in the future.

Maybe you'd enjoy another brilliant japaneses all female rock band which is not quite as fast and loud as Lovebites, but equally impressing, called Band-Maid. They are more on the hard rock side.

Now you’ve got to see the rest of the top 3: Nemophila and Band Maid, then dive deeper with Hagane, Hanabie, Trident, Gacharic Spin, Fate Gear, Lonsome Blue, this is just a sample of the female rock/metal bands.
