On clutch shots, so is my findings the same, but there are some issues. One is that if you spot a nice juicy stationary target, then he may start moving when an obvious arty shots lands near him. I have also managed to run out of ammo, as while you got a lot of shots, so do the rof make you able to run out in long games.
What I tell my friends if they ask about British arty is that I loved FV304, for the reasons you give in your video - precision, rate of fire, HIGH ARC, mobility. I also used to fire a shot without full aim and aim the next one, it was nice when tracked target's repair time was longer than my reload time :-),... The best of all imho is the high trajectory that lets you hit targets in "arty-safe" places, such targets are usually stationary because they think they are hidden. :-) This is the most fun arty I have played. (And I tell this as a big scumbag with four tier Xs in garage. :D)
this is the single vehicle i have had most trouble getting the hang of in WoT, so thanks for doing this vid.

Thanks QB. I played through the British SPG line when I saw you livestreaming FV304. Have kept the Bishop for a while to skill up the crew. I found the same method of clutch shooting then aiming as well. Having watched your review, I'm now ready to move up. Especially looking forward to the speed of FV304.

I love my FV304 my ace tanker game was in a tier 8 game where got 7 kills and 2000 some odd damage!! It is very accurate and i like the caliber of the gun cause it allows it to reload very fast so when u do track u can hammer the enemy at some points you can widdle a tier 7/8 tank from full HP to no HP just by hitting in the same spot and tracking over and over and over. I LOVE MY FV304!!!

I just want to say thanks, I have had this tank for a while now and liked it but never got the max out of it. Now I understand how to play with it and well. I think I'm going to keep this one.
Yes the gun is not the most alfa damage ever but i think there is a lot to be said for the "panic" effect that can be had by raining down those 100 damage hits on ever very well armored enemies especially if you do it in places they normally consider artillery safe.
I bought this shoe box of a tank yesterday for use in the campaign, and I think it's hilarious.
I believe in the rotation and preempting my turret angle when possible. Meaning I will make slight adjustments so my arc is best aimed even before knowing rough or exact locations of the enemy. Thus clutch shots can be more accurate.

Awesome tank! Went into a tier 8 game with this on El Halluf and even if I had to get close to the enemy, I was able to hit for full damage on a half-health T29 (making him a one shot kill) and a T-34-85 with around 450 health, killing him. Both were behind a rock on the south end of the map.

All hail the magic shoe. The 304 is a pretty versatile arty piece. Great mobility, very small and can hide well with a fully skilled camo crew, net, and paintjob in a bush.
I do a similar "throw a shell then wait for it to aim properly while the gun is reloading before firing again" in the SU-26 I've been playing lately.
I never played it pre-nerf but it does feel lackluster, I heard it used to have the 122.

The official WoT channel recently showed a FV304 doing clutch shots at 40 and 70 kph and insta-gibbing his targets at long range.

Great arty, very non arty-like with that much mobility and rate of fire. I will say that I haven't tried the whole TD mode thing, though I think I will after watching QB. Keep them coming QB!! It seems like I learn something every time I watch your videos!
This arty is best used with in a full platoon of them or 2 in platoon and one scout (Cromwell or something simillar) and just use it as a support vehicle and be rediculous with it. It is sooooo much fun when you do like 400-500 dmg to tier 8s and set them on fire. And when you have no help, RUN! :D

What mod provides the arty range? Seen mods that show that ring + your traverse all the way to the edge of the map, it looked extremely useful.

I actually like the small caliber of the cannon, because even if it does do a little damage it REALLY starts to mount up especially with awesome accuracy, so yes I prefer the tiny caliber than the big cannons.

Hi QB, I did the same with this gun: fire one shot completely unaimed and when the next shot is ready, it's fully aimed. RNG is on your side. :)
FV304 is *the* shotgunning artillery. The 70 kph shotgunning artillery....

So the shell can actually land in a open-top td and it can cause an ammo rack right?
Currently driving an m44 american artillery t6. Here my jaw hit the floor with this FV's accuracy and speed. Though the m44 has higher alpha I think its horribly countered by its 20 second average reload for a shot of that normally does 200 damage. Thus I'm having to use HEAT often to compensate and pray the RNG accuracy puts where I need it to go....and not get eaten by a track...
My fav arty ever! Might not even sell it. Its so good that even if it cant fire far away you can still do everything else very well! you know you fee like a badass when you kill a T34 with this arty.
It totally is a grate arti, i have mine elite with a BiA crew for first skill. Its so good on the artic map
yo Quicky baby love your videos. I played this tank for the 1st time & i like artillery, but the bishop i didnt like because of the aiming distance. But i had my 1st go of the fc304 & took out 4 tanks. Iike this tank but it is still only early. I will comment further when i've played with it more.
QB shouldnt i mount cammo net iso vents on my FV304, considering i am allways quite close to enemy, just to increase the chance of being undetected?
I was playing in my AT 15A when suddenly a wild FV304 is spotted coming down a hill at full speed trying to ram me sadly since I was on low health he killed me. So embarrassing :(

Loved my old FV304...until they nerfed the hell out of it. Still fun to play, but not as much as it was. Loved serving "meatballs" with it to the enemy.
Would love to see you do an update to this video, with a battle or 2 .... but no donkey stuff ;)

Best way to use this arty is shoot over hills or hide behind your ally tanks. It works!!!
I find the gun to be VERY VERY troll. In those matches I end up with T8s, I find myself being an indirect speed bump. I track them, damage modules, and get the lucky shots where I take a 150-450 chunk from their health pool. I have a replay I can send you as I do not have Fraps or any other recording software. Anyways, was on Tundra and single-handedly held off an Aufkl-Panther, IS-6 and T34. All I heard from them was "go away arty," "tracked again..." amongst other choice phrases as you can imagine.

I agree that this is one OP artie. I was pissed when they nerfed artie, but this one obviously missed that bullet. And it is no single thing that makes it so, but the combination of great speed, fast reload, accurate, high trajectory so you cannot hide, etc. Not to mention its ability to out maneuver and in essence out TD TD's make this thing crazy. I have been keeping lose track, and if my side is facing one, 8 out of 10 times we lose. If we have one on our side, 8 out of 10 we win. And it is a assured loss if we face two or more.

I love this arty and really want to keep it in my line up. Loved the bishop also but this is clearly the superior platform. saying that i find the ammo extremely frustrating at times, HOW does HE ammo bounce soooo much? im thinking maybe 1/3 or rounds bounce. saying that great tank

Only avoid firing those clutch shots if you'll scare a camper into moving.
this arty is OP in my books. Tons of times have I been detracked by it's first shot and never be able to get my tracks repaired again due to it continuously shooting me again and again. If you have used your repair kit and your crew repair skills are not that high then you can leave the match pretty much at that point, because there is no way you are ever gonna get your tracks up again in time to run away; and considering how accurate it is, there is simply no hope at all. Great accuracy and reload time in 1 single arty? OP. That is all
Well, what do you want? OP insane laser accuracy with long reload or faster firing arty with less accuracy? Currently, we have the faster firing arty with less accuracy..... Could you imagine if that FV304 had the laser accuracy arty used to have?
One thing I forgot to add is its speed. Speed in combination with fast friring and relativelly good accuracy is just plain ridiculous. Sure there are other machines with such specifications like the SU-122-54 but that's a TD with low alfa and mediocre armour so it gets stuck in very hairy situations rather easily. With an artilery there is a whole new perspective on that matter. being fast means it can run away, scout around the battlefield, kill other arties, go hunting for the last kill, even kill slow heavy tanks with bad turret turning and other TDs/Arties; and these are things an arty shouldn't have all together with all the other aspects.

If you get caught alone by an arty that outmaneuvers you, it´s your own damn fault and not the OP ness of the arty.
It has low damage and shitty range, meaning it has to constantly move around behind the front lines, and can easily be spotted while changing position and taken out.

Definatly one of the most dangerous and frustrating arty. I love this tank because with this gun you have an enough rate of fire to keep tracking the enemy enough to take someone down. Clutch firing is very good ideea because u have lot of chances to hit the enemy. I recommand this arty as the funniest arty on the game. I do love FV304.
I find that firing clutch at the low hp / last few targets isn't always "worth a punt" because loads of times i've fired, missed and would have had plenty of time to aim fully before the next friendly kills them. Paise to the rng jesus i guess...

You could treat it like its a AMX ELC Bis with really slow traverse speed.

this arti is so much fun, alright, you can't one shoot a tank, but well, if the first shoot didn't damaged it, it dosen't need long to have a second chance to wreack the tank.
another good point you didn't mention is that it's easier to hit tank in city map with this tank thanks to the arc of fire, and it's really enjoyable, because a lot of tanker know where to hide from arti, but fv bishop and crusader with this howitzer can sometime shoot those "safe zone" :p
and you shoot an at8, but it's funnier to ram elc and close kill those hellcat who think they were the hunter ^^
i'd say, the fv is just the most aggressive arty of the game, sure tier8 are hard, but all other game are easy as long as your team as one or two good player

The expression "gun arch" can be a bit confusing, I thought first you were talking about the gun traverse distance. It would be better to use an expression like "ballistical profile" or "ballistical trajectory" instead of "gun arch" imo

@14:15, that Pz. IVS was dumb as a fence post, it let QB hit him 3 TIMES in a row. Kids, if you get your bell rung by an FV304, that's your queue to MOVE. if you get double and triple dunked like that guy did, you deserved it.
