A Tale of Two Mountains: Mt. Esau & Mt. Zion || Obadiah 1 || Mark Ben Thuku

Obadiah, the shortest book in the Old Testament, testifies to contrastingly great things. It reveals the great purposes of God as seen in the case of Edom who act with contempt against their brother, Jacob (Israel). This act of contempt showcases itself as an atrocity against God Himself. God declares that He will punish all evil done, and this testimony echoes down to those of us in this age who are His enemies. However, as seen in the passage, there is an alternate hope for those who believe in Christ for the remission of their sins. Mark Ben Thuku admonishes us in this sermon that as certain as the destruction of God's prideful enemies is, so assured is the restoration of His people!
