This video helped me cuz I have freeforms and I’ve noticed if your going to do any sort of maintenance just separate a couple of them but not all of them. In my opinion they looked best right after she separated them and washed them. And that’s all locs need imo, a good wash with cold water and separation from time to time

I think it’s great! Everyone’s journey is different and everyone has their own preferences and the beautiful thing about locs is he can go back to free form if he wants

I have traditional locs and I enjoy your content. I believe that there is freedom in traditional locs coming from a world of weave and relaxers. I went from doing something different to my hair every week too only touching my hair once a month and sometimes not even.

I’m 15, I started my locs with the sponge about 6 months ago but my parents made me get a retwist about 2 weeks ago. I like it but I wished I could’ve grew it out for a longer time before retwisting it
Maintain locks is usually a pretty boy look somebody influenced him in doing this he didn’t choose this himself.

I want to give my joints a little twist since they’ve been freeformed for a little over a year now but idk if the Congos are too thick to twist 🤦🏽♂️
I think a maintained look suits this guy better in particular ion know. Usually i'd say freeform but i think this suits him a whole lot better.

Would it have been better to separate with fingers on damp hair rather hack it with scissors and dry?? Those lengths will be weak and clogged with product especially. Sad about the "tidy" that was done before twisting - gave me a headache.

Maybe u can attribute the surgeance of freeform to traditional locs cuz of covid, a lot of people were in quarantine and didnt get retwists for a while and just freeformed
