So I have had my hands on cs2 cs2 pro geo 4 luxe x luxe ace dye m3+ and my opinion is like what is being said in this video how do your hands work on your marker and how much you love paintball. I still haven't been able to get my hands on a tm40. I really want to mech luxe but Planet's guns are easier to customize, maintenance, and easier to give an introductory player that is trying to upgrade to a high lvl marker. I know mech is finally taking a big piece of the pie now and I am super excited. Planet is a non worry on every day maintenance and wanting something simple but for a player that doesn't know how to take care of a marker correctly this can cause a big issue. Knowing how to properly take care of clean and lube your marker can be interesting. This can even go further to the players that were with me back in the early 2000's that want cockers shoe boxes cyborgs automags. You can get to the point if you screw up with cleaning, lubing or taking care of your luxe dye planet or any other is such a detriment in quality. After saying everything I honestly love my luxe ace with the rubber front grip than any other spool gun on the market. Have I had issues hell yeah was it my fault you bet it was. Am I going to throw a side note in this. You bet I will. Where the fuck is the new poppets.

It’s too early to tell how reliable the new TM40s will be in the long run while we know the CS2 is tried and true. I went with the TM40 because I wanted to give DLX a shot at their newest high end and see what it can do. Worse come to worse I can trade for a CS2 as the market will be wanting both of these guns for a while. Agree with everything in this video, great write up as always!
Ultimately it comes down to personal preference. Both guns are going to be snappy, lay paint where you want it and get the job done.
UPDATE: I had a minor leak with the TM40 after 1 pod and it turns out the Solenoid on this gun is very particular on how it needs to be set when locking it into the latch frame. Even if it looks good and locks it might not be in straight enough to ensure a proper seal. So if you end up with a popping leak near the solenoid I’d make sure it’s set on straight and the latch is as flush against the solenoid as it can be. I would not recommend this gun for beginner players.

You can still find paintball fields in almost all states but it may be more spread out than the ones I listed. For me I’m in a small town in Texas and have 3 fields within 15-50 miles of my home. The community is filled with tons of people using groupons on the weekend for some weekend fun or first timers. The other group is either mag fed or speedballers which is a healthy mix of 50/50. @@BB-pg5kl EVERY marker is going to have issues. Whether we are talking about cars, equipment, or paintball guns it’s impossible to manufacture thousands of units without a single fault or issue. You can minimize errors with strict quality control, tolerances, materials, etc etc, but you’re never going to flush out every issue.
So if your paintball marker does have a problem then the next area for a company to shine is with their customer service. It wasn’t even mentioned in this video, but PE customer service has been the best in the business for almost two decades. DLX or even Dye can’t compete with PE in that category.
So yes, there is a slight chance that your CS2 might have a flaw. But there’s a 99.5% chance that PE is going to take care of it, while there’s been several complaints about DLX’s customer service.

Then it's on you to fork over $170 for a new solenoid even though they knew the current solenoid was unreliable...
BTW 5 of the markers I own are newer PEs. They are great markers. They are good everything, but the best nowhere in regards to specific categories about performance.

Yes, DLX is making great markers which are reliable, but they have a history of poor reliability with previous markers and this reputation has been difficult to shake. Their customer service is also nowhere near the level of PE’s customer service.
