I want people to remember that Jiang Cheng loved Wei Wuxian as fiercely as Lan Wangji did. Maybe not in a romantic light, but in no way was his affections for his brother any less than anyone else. He went to die in Wei Wuxian's stead by surrendering to the Wen army. He used himself as a bait so Wei Wuxian could survive, and he did not know that Wei Wuxian would save his life. He begged Wei Wuxian to return to the Sect again and again and renounce the wen remnants to "save" Wei Wuxian's life. He tried till his last breath to keep him under his protection. And then suddenly his brother in law was dead, and Wei Wuxian was responsible. And then, his sister, his only living family by blood died right in front of his eyes to save Wei Wuxian. His "I hate you" was a spur of the moment. Jiang Cheng never stopped searching for Wei Wuxian. He searched for his soul, his bones, kept Chenqing with him forever. Even Jin Ling says that Jiang Cheng would search for everyone practising demonic arts. To Jin Ling, who grew up seeing everyone hating Wei Wuxian, it seemed that his uncle was searching out of hatred. But was it really hatred that made Jiang Cheng crazily look for his brother? It is so easy to hate him, but probably Jiang Cheng was the one who loved Wei Wuxian the most after Lan Wangji.
Well said.. Most of people hating Jiang Cheng which is he doesn't deserve. He is just not good at express and that does not make him bad person.

Agree. Jiang Cheng loves Wei Wuxian as his own brother like Yan Li did. He maybe in rage & mad at Wei Ying but he loves him. That even if you asked him after all what happened if he will still put his life on the line to save Wej Wuxian as he did before, he will definitely answered yes without hesitation.
I love this so much. I'll still say yanli n lan zhan loved him the most. Jiang cheng was a little rough around the edges. But he truly truly loved him in his own way. He's still the same earnest and loyal brother. 13 yrs later he quote on quote remembered his brother's broken promise. Saved lan zhan from jin's attack even tho he bad mouths him. Both yanli n wwx knew he had a pure heart underneath
JC has always cared for Wei. This scene is him being back to his past self when he would have sacrificed anything for Wei (after all he lost his golden core in the first place trying to save Wei from getting caught). His years of hatred and bitterness being replaced with guilt, realisation, crushing regret , pain and sorrow after learning the truth!!
Where did you get that information? Jiang Cheng didn't lose his golden core saving Wei WuXian. In fact, Wei WuXian was not present at the moment Jiang Cheng loses his golden core. After the attack at Lotus Pier, they went back and find out that Jiang Cheng's parents were dead. After that, they flee but about a mile away Jiang Cheng wanted to go back in order to rescue his parent's bodies, which Wei WuXian explained would be suicidal. They got to sleep a little and the next morning they headed for the MeishanYu Sect. On their way there they stopped to eat and while Wei WuXian was buying food Jiang Cheng ran back to Lotus Pier in order to steal his parent's bodies. So Wei WuXian heads back to Lotus Pier (which was already destroyed) and tries to find Jiang Cheng while in hiding. At some point, he finds Wen Ning, who has saved Jiang Cheng after Wen ZhuLiu destroyed his golden core. Later on, Wei WuXian decides to transfer his golden core to Jiang Chen using a risky experimental procedure developed by Wen Qing, Wen Ning's sister. Hope that helps. Peace.

In the end of the Guanyin temple arc, JC wanted to confess something to Wei but couldn't bring himself to do it. The confession was that he did not run back to Lotus Pier to retrieve his parents bodies; but because he saw Wen clan soldiers patrolling the street and hid himself, but then he saw that they were about to catch Wei, to save Wei from getting caught, he gave away his hiding place, to distract them; resulting in him getting caught and losing his Golden core!

@@alesonu x_X You're correct. But the thing is... I read it as well. Somehow, I skipped those lines. I guess I was sleepy at the time I was reading it or something. Found it but it says Chapter 110 - Concealment (Part Four). Wow, this is quite the revelation. Feels sort of weird because of what Jiang Cheng did at the First Sige of BM. He wasn't remotely likable in my eyes before those events, and afterward, I pretty much hated him. I still dislike him, but I guess imagining him with the face of Wang Zhuocheng helps. @@thecomplexitiesoftheobvious No problem, I thought you might have missed it as you gave the description of the book of the events. JC is one of those characters who you want to punch and hug at the same time. He is pitiful but he really loved his family, siblings (incl Wei) and nephew deeply!
@@thecomplexitiesoftheobvious There was actually a hint on the last episode. They showed the scene on where WeiYing was about to get caught and JiangCheng saw it. There was a monologue on where he is passing the torch to WY in making sure their sister will be alright.
This just goes to show that Jiang Cheng still really cared for Wei Ying. Even if he is angry and jealous and insecure about Wei Ying, he still cares.
They grew up together-no matter what happened, they’re still brothers…🥺
That’s why I’m determined to believe that after the series ended, they found a way to reconcile!

I have a little sister, and she was the troublemaker while I was the good kid. There were times our parents would compare her to me. I always hated it, cause I didn't want my sister to feel inferior to me. Later on, my sister did some awful things because of drugs, and while I was mad at her, I never could hate her. I sort of understand Wei Ying and Jiang Cheng's relationship in this way. As siblings, you can both love and hate each other. But no matter what happens, a part of you still loves your family to the bitter end.
He stilled cares but he was angry, and jealous. He was angry that Wei kept this from him like some kind of child when he felt he should have come to him to tell him so he could understand. But Wei knew by telling him he’d get angry anyways so it’s best not to tel. And then he felt guilty and everything all at once knowing that all this happened techo because of him lol he is a good brother just can’t x press what he is feeling well… like at All lol

These action scenes are so fake. probably the worst among all Chinese dramas. All slow mos and so unnecessarily dramatic LMAO.
Oh I can guarantee, there are series with MUCH worse effects. While the fight coordination could be better, it's not the worst. Besides, I think we can agree that the writing and acting more than makes up for it.

@@aanchalalishasahoo4539 I think there's a variety of factors. It depends on the skills of the directors, editors, fight coordinators, special effects, and actors. Each have their own role to play in making a scene believable. I personally think that both slow mo and fast action make a good fight. Fast action puts us in the heat of battle, upping the energy and tension. Slow mo allows our minds to catch up for a brief second and, of course, gives us some sweet Moments of Awesome.
