Magic! 💫 Multiple Dirty Cup Straight Pours.. Watch the Magic Develop!

Hello Friends!
The other day I was watching one of my older videos, 'Blessings', where I did multiple straight pours onto the canvas. I really wanted to do it again! There is something magical about straight pours.. how they start off looking like a puddle of mud but within a few minutes all these beautiful details rise to the surface.. I really enjoy that you can see the science in motion, thats just very cool to me.
My colors are:
Liquitex Heavy Body
- Deep Turquoise
Liquitex Basics
- Bright Aqua Green
w/ DA Satin Enamels White
and DA 24K Gold
- Dioxazine Purple
- Phthalo Blue

My Pouring Medium is:
Liquitex Gloss Medium & Varnish
Paint + a bit of Water
Floetrol
I'm using a 5 ounce Dixie cup and doing a Dirty Cup with my Straight Pour. A dirty cup is when you pour the paint into the cup from up high, pouring each color into the previous one so that they sink beneath the surface. A Straight Pour is poured onto the canvas from up high, no rings or wiggles, keeping your pouring hand still. Straight Pours blend the colors a lot, and they are one if the best techniques to get cells without using silicone.
I prepare and pour 6 straight pours onto the canvas, then I put down some white around the pours as a flow extender. I had planned to use the Pthalo Blue as the flow extender but changed my mind at the last minute. I do add Pthalo Blue around the edges .
In the Blessings video I did use a flow extender, but I did not thin it out at all. I wanted to try that again, given that I have had issues with flow extenders not being thin enough recently. The conclusion that I have reached is that its a question of the amount or volume of paint, not necessarily the consistency of your flow extender that is important.
I begin to tilt it, but that white is a problem. Im not happy with it, there is too much solid white in too many areas. I decide to try again. I pour 3 dirty cups and then tilt.. it works and looks great!
I hope you guys enjoyed this video, and maybe try a straight pour yourselves. They are so much fun to watch as they develop, it really is Magic.

This took perseverance. Gale was naughty too. The pic reminds of slices of underwater geodes and a beautiful gold whale surfacing in the bottom left hand corner. My husband was laughing at me this past weekend for using one of your Mina isms. Mina, this one is amazing. I am so glad you poured those extra cups at the end. I think your flow extender became a problem. It's really beautiful.
Seems gale is being naughty all over the place. She blew down my greenhouse last night, picking up plants at 2am wasn't really what I wanted to be doing! Can't wait to try this style. I got new paints last week and got a torch and haven't had time to try them out yet.
