  • Welcome to Gun City! In this video, Ferg & Sean have a blast with the 22LR Hammerli Tac R1!
    The 22LR Hammerli Tac R1 is a rimfire rifle chambered in ever-popular and economical .22 LR cartridge. Unlike other makes and models, the 22LR Hammerli Tac R1 features a full metal upper and lower receiver for added strength and durability. Its factory threaded 16.1" barrel (½x28) is just begging for a silencer to be added and the surrounding CNC machined M-LOK handguard that features QD (or Quick Detach) slings mounts and makes adding other accessories just as easy and hassle-free.
    Made in Germany by UMAREX, the world’s largest manufacturer of firearm replicas, the 22LR Hammerli Tac R1 comes complete with factory-fitted flip-up front and rear sights that are fully adjustable for both windage and elevation. The rear sight also includes two apertures; one for 50 metres and the other for targets at shorter ranges i.e. under 50 metres. The inclusion of a 5-position adjustable skeleton stock allows the shooter to quickly change the length of pull to fit their body type and shooting situation.
    The bolt speed is adjustable with a simple turn of a screw to allow for optimal performance with a variety of ammunition types and also holds open upon the last round being fired to facility faster reload times. Finally, the full-length Picatinny rail makes mounting your choice of optics easy. So if you are after the ultimate 'Bunny Busting' rig or a slick target shooting setup, then it's hard to look past the 22LR Hammerli Tac R1.

    Im getting one of these because they have a 50 round drum that i can fill up and unload three times for the price of unloading one 20 round mag of 5.56

    Im using Tac R1 as a relaible, cheap and accurate enough trainig rifle to save money on 5.56 ammo. I have put red dot and 3x magnifier (both not expensive Leapers brand) and changed original iron sights (which are actually plastic) to at3. Tac R1 have adjustable bolt speed spring so it's possible to tune rifle to various loads, mine is adjusted to cheapest Magtech ammo I could get and it works without malfunctions. Accuracy wise - shooting 1x red dot off hand and standing I got about 95% hits in 20cm circle at 50 meters. Hammerli tac r1 works for me.

  • @Grimasaurus

    Is this considered an "A" cat due to mag size or does the pistol grip push it out of that category?

    • @guncitynewzealand
      @guncitynewzealand  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Good question! The pistol grip doesn't change the category. It is A Cat due to overall length, mag capacity, calibre and action type - JK

  • @xxxkgxxx

    What’s the point in having a grip on it if you still hold the barrel? Lol

    • @guncitynewzealand
      @guncitynewzealand  Před 5 měsíci

      If you look closely, Sean is using the grip more as a hand-stop, gripping slightly forward and pulling the swell of his palm and the lower fingers on his lead hand on to the face of the grip. He finds this increases stability! - JK
