Getting Jenifer Hale to reprise her role as Jean was a great decision.
Her role from...earlier this season? She's not Jean's VA from the original XTAS. Jean's original VA voices Val Cooper.

I like her voice acting but I do miss the original Jean’s voice.

i was wondering why Jean had to remove the roof when she fights with Mr Sinister, until i took notice how Sinister powers works in the shadow. Look closely how he only reappears behind Jean with her shadow or he moves via the shadow under the car. Jean is so smart when dealing with her enemy! Even Sinister had to throw Jean into the building, because he knew he wont stand a chance against Jean in an outdoor fight!
Top tier observation. I was wondering why she would put time/energy into removing the roof. Sun light is the best disinfectant.
I don't remember Sinister having powers involving the shadows, but it fits really well with him.

This is the most detailed fight I have seen Jean do in the X-Men animated series, X-Men evolution and the X movies combined.
The animators really did an awesome job at showcasing Jean’s powers. However, let’s not forget, Sinister was pretty dope as a villain too. This fight was amazing!

I don't think they will, they keep on heavily hinting at the Phoenix and it's been consistently showing up in the intro of the show. She'll probably trigger it again or they're gonna make her do an amazing feat.

Finally Jean holding her own in this series. One of the bad memories of the original series was her finishing after ever fight that lasted longer than 2 secs.

Can we talk about the quality of the cartooning? You know they are hand drawing this just like the original 90s version. They pulled out all of the stops to make this as authentic as possible.

I always thought telekinetics could use their TK as defense & offense, like either hold them or throw them with their mind (tks) or can use their mind to turn all their mind energy into a condensed energy tk blast to do more damage like cable is doing here.
Besides that, doesn't jean make her tk go outward like every episode with her tk shield she's constantly throwing up or when we just seen her throw out some tk enerygy waves at sinister or when she even fought Prime sentinel trask whe she was fighting like DBZ?

I just love the heavy inspiration they took from Capcom vs. Games. Sinister Mister wasn't in any of them yet we fight like an amalgamation of Venom and Blackheart from those games. I don't remember him ever fighting like this in the comics
Actually he does fight this way. The difference? Instead of black shadows imagine his regular body in a semi liquide state and there you go. Classic Sinister is a defensive tank ! Dude soaks up damage like there is no tommprow
Its like a ballet dance and the musical score provided by The Newton Brothers just raises the stakes higher.

I thought the same thing. Jean can create force fields but if they ever introduce the fantastic four, then they’d have to change her shields.

that's why I was bummed they kept her powers blue in the show. Her canon powers are pink and so would be more distinguishable from IW's

It seems clear that the Phoenix is coming back, but what isn’t so clear is the direction they’ll take it with it in the finale and/or next season. Maybe Jean will be chilling in the White Hot Room for a while

I know it would end the battle soon but as telekinetic I would expect you to use your powers on the obstacle and if that doesn’t work, then you throw objects at it. The same goes for magneto, while fighting wolverine he was throwing objects at him until he finally remembered that wolverine’s bones are covered in metal. If i had telekinesis I would send sinister flying or break his bones.
Mr Sinister, like Cyclops, got a power upgrade in x-men 97.
They did Jean and Sinister both so much justice in this

Stop with the corny faint jokes ppl. This entire season has shown how powerful and capable Jean should’ve always been portrayed. She’s layered, she’s morally grey at times, her and Scott aren’t seeing eye to eye and she’s slowly falling for Logan. Not to mention, she’s trying to help Scott get to know “their” son. Jean has honestly been my favorite character this entire season.
I think everyone is happy she didn't faint. This season was a dream come true.

There are only two options here: sevage land or Beyong Good and Evil, the two last times sinister captured her. If it was before, he would have no need to capture her clone since he needed Madelyne to stay with Scott and have a Child. It could have being in the sevage land, because in Beyond Good and Evil it is more of Apocalypse's idea to capture the psiquics, so it could have beeing Madelyne there already. And if it was really in the sevage land, that means Madeline was the Phoenix and not Jean.

She’s def holding back too cuz it’s Nathan and rather herself die than put him down. It’s mom instincts to sacrifice herself rather than hurt her child

Mr Sinister whole character is centered around manipulation and this is what separates him from many of the other mutant villains that is centered in Marvel.
The only comparison you can make between two characters being very similar is of course Sinister and Apocalypse because both operate from the shadows.
Mr Sinister’s power levels and hax are very inconsistent

I don’t think she’s dead. It cut off, so I think she will be able to telepathically take out cable with either the help of Phoenix or cable weakening with the techno organic virus as his telekinesis was the only thing keeping it at bay.
