Exploring the old Devil Summoner game, a game I've never played due to it being fully Japanese, and still, no English translation patch has been out. Still waiting for that to do an official playthrough.
The old-school Sega Saturn SMT Devil Summoner had an extra disc (Akuma Zensho) that contains the compendium of the game that serves as an encyclopedia.
In the original game, Sega Saturn didn't include a compendium system, this was added later in the ported PSP version.

Can't wait for the translation to come out in my senior years
This game and Soul Hackers had by far my favorite Compendiums out of any game cause they have a bunch of demons from myths that are rarely covered and some lesser known Gods, like it's rare to see the Norse God Tyr and the Egyptian God Amon-Ra.
Also the Cu Chulainn design in these games is still my favorite, also having a cooler Garuda, and Queltzaquotlzel design

I can see that Atlus had full control of how they wanted to design demons in here. There are a lot of interesting demon design that will never be released without being heavily censored in this era.

Are you going to do the same for Soul Hackers? Soul Hackers Akuma Zensho has an extra visual novel which is pretty neat, it's called Souls in Contact and you access to it by talking to Mary, though it remains untranslated

It's so interesting how a lot of the colors are brighter and more noticeable in some of the demons. Like I like dark blue Sandman with yellow moon head over the current color. And several demons we haven't seen in other titles or that use Kaneko's art instead now like Pixie. I really like this artwork though, the designs and color choices are so nice to look at.

Some of the design were better here like that Pixie and bishamonten, it's amazing if they bring back that demon again
Probably by Dx2 which is known to revive lot of obscure designs from older SMT games.

I wonder why is it that every single pallette revision in Soul Hackers looks better than their Devil Summoner counterpart. I mean, hard to believe that this weird black Anat predates her iconic Banana design.
God, i love the DS designs of most demons, like its by far the best compendium of all games (even surpassing SMTIV). It has this weird mixture between old Kaneko and modern Kaneko.

You know for a game called devil summoner it’s pretty weird that lucifer isn’t one of the summonable demons at least from what I see
He's usually not avaliable as a summon in the mainline and adjacent games
Lucifer is barely involved in the Devil Summoner games apart from Raidou 2.
Theirs no big law vs. Chaos conflicts in these games
