- Pressure testing the system with my testo 557 will let you know if there’s a leak within 30 minutes, no matter how small the leak is as you see it reads pressures @ 0.1 increments, with analog gauges you would have to wait up to a day for the needle to move 4 or 5 psi so you can notice really tiny micro leaks

buenas tardes si la diferencia es 0,7 positivo se considera perdida
I test got a testo 557 of Facebook ..still learing
boiling off the freon in the compressor oil will make psi rise. 5 psi accepted on 24h
I appreciate you good information
Can you explain to me some details about why pressure drop to -0.6 very fast. My 557 is the same its make me crazy. Sometimes it positive some times - when i charge n2 to do leak test in L type pipe. I try to use soap to find leak in every brazing joints ... its Nothing. but 557 still reading -0.2 in 4min.
Good one ☝️! I experience the same thing almost all the time and I IGNORE it unless the drop in pressures is constant with time. That is -0.2 psig in 1 minute , then -0.4 in 2 minutes then -0.6 in 3 minutes and so on
@@D2DNYAC Thank you for your answer. sorry for my English
Can I do a preasure test with low hose connected only?
Yes
@@D2DNYAC Thank you for the quick response. I have a Testo 550, I think I can do it with that model. Do I need to use the clamps if I'm only going to do a preasure test with the low preasure side? Thank you in advance.
No clamps needed for pressure testing
@@D2DNYAC Thank you
