It kind of feels like the actor playing the bat character just ad-libbed his dialogue like Robin Williams in _Aladdin_ . But he didn't have anyone else to record with and they were too lazy to record or animate the other actors/characters reacting to his dialogue afterwards. So instead of being funny, he just rambles on for no reason with nobody else saying or doing anything.
Larry Miller is the guys name and he’s fine in some stuff I’ve seen
The story is fricking bananas. And I'm starting to think it wasn't stolen but Larry got rid of it to make it mocap.

@@syppy7416 Larry (the director of the movie) just wanted an excuse to use mocap instead of traditional 3D animation. Only 7.5 minutes of the “original movie” was done before they switched to mocap.
I heard a theory the whole movie is just a money laundering operation. That's probably the case.
There is a TON of misinformation about Foodfight and if anyone wants to know the actual story, ROTTEN: Behind the Foodfight by Ok So... created a doc on youtube a month ago actually interviewing people who worked there and delving into production history. No, stuff was never stolen, no this didn't cost 65 million dollars. The actual story is far stranger and a tale about an insane Director.

The movie was postponed for 12 years because the hard drives that held the movie were stolen, as well as they remade the movie three times in total I believe. It's the best movie in the world.

My best memory of this movie was when I was talking with one of my friends about box office bombs in the 2010s, and we were going in order of release date. When we got to this movie, my friend mentioned that he had never heard of it. So I sent him a CZcams link to the movie so he could see for himself.
He rage quit after 5 minutes and texted me back that he would never watch it again. You should have seen the smile on my face because I knew my work there was done 😂

I recently saw a video of the concept clips vs the actual result of the movie, like side by side, and you CANNOT tell me this wasn’t a colorful money laundering scheme. You CANT.
The director basically wanted "Ready player one:Grocery edition" and was aiming to make versions for arcade games, sports mascots and newspaper comics, but didn't get any bites, so just strung it along to try and fish for more investors.

Most likely the only reason this movie came out at all given the horrible hell it's development was, is because all the product placement meant that there were probably some financial penalties due to breach of contract if they didn't release the film.

This movie is just a nightmare fueled hot mess. The animation is terrible, the acting is just as bad and it barely even makes sense. If anything, it makes Hoodwinked look like a masterpiece.
Hoodwinked isn’t the worst animated movie out there.

Ever since Brand X was discontinued and Mr. Clipboard never showed up again, Leonard kept that stomped bag of chips on his desk...to remind himself that all of that insanity was real.
I HIGHLY recommended the documentary on this movie, "ROTTEN: Behind the Foodfight" Its on YT and it really sheds light on what a mess production was, also lets you know through interviews with animators how RAVENOUSLY horny the director was for Lady X which explains... alot

This movie believe it or not was originally supposed to come out in 2002 but the original footage was stolen. Also this movie cost an unbelievable 65 million dollars to make while only making almost 74000
Sad that we live in a universe where this is an actual movie while the thief and the cobbler was worked on for decades and never released because the creator passed away and refused to take it from development hell.

As it's recently come to light, the footage never was stolen. Larry Kasanoff made up the story because he didn't want to tell investors that the movie couldn't make any of the deadlines. None of the earlier footage was actually solidified for the movie but basically test animation to get people to give it money.

-Getting the rights to use all these mascots
-Getting the big-name actors to star in it
-Recouping the losses from the thievery of the finalized assets
Also side note: from what I’ve heard, the thief stole the finalized assets of the movie, and that’s why it looks so ugly. Reviewing test footage you can find on this site, this movie would’ve been a half-decent kids’ movie if the burglary never happened. Tech was limited at the time, but it still looked lively; the movie we got all had placeholder assets that were never supposed to see the light of day.
