If you do light then the second hit of the autocombo with delay , then you jump and do a dragon rush , it is a 0 bar snapback

What kind of jump? Like a regular combo jump cancel or just straight up and then really quickly DR?

A note on the command grab. It is a hard answer to beam wars when both of you have 1 hit left. This move net me an incredibly stylish victory

I was surprised by his synergy with Vegito. Definitely gonna try running Gogeta with Vegito and SSJ Vegeta for a bit. I'm probably gonna keep Vegito on point and make Gogeta mid since Vegeta is a way better anchor
he also has good synergy with gotenks, it's super easy to use gotenks assist to do more damage off of almost any hit htat'll lead into a combo (i.e. midscreen, off of super dash, corner, ect.)
right now i'm running a team of gogeta on point, vegito mid, and gotenks as anchor and it's been going pretty well so far
Vegito, gotenks, gogeta. I was going to use Vegeta anchor but I like this better.

Awesome video, thank you for posting. One thing I would like to add is the rising vortex if done before opponent vanishes, Gogeta will place opponent back in front of him as a consequence of vortex being invincible and opponent vanishing behind Gogeta.
This character is fantastic.
gogeta can also combo into base goku's spirit bomb with j214H. it takes 500 less damage but looks cool as heck
also wanted to say that gogeta's 5H is pretty good against reflect since, from that distance, he can teleport right to the opponent and hit him

@@trctta ok so, the j stands for jump, and the H is for heavy, and for the numbers you'd have to look at a calculator (or the square number part on the right of the keyboard) and that tells you what direction your doing on your d-pad/stick
so 214 would be quarter circle back, 236 would be quarter circle forward, 2M would be down medium ect.

Dang! Nappa really does have good synergy with Gogeta! I've been practicing some ToDs he can do with the assist (and they start off the 2H mind you, so nothing TOO situational), but man I should REALLY try to learn the Mid-screen Saibamen combos he can do with that! :O
I play "lord Nappa" too :) Gogeta is fitting to my Nappa+Base Goku team perfectly. Good video man keep it upp !

They gotta chill with the lvl 3 dmg though, with every dlc inclusion Tien becomes more irrelevant.

I've been liking running gogeta on point and a gohan on mid. gogeta has pretty solid meter build, and while he can't get 2 bars in one combo solo without using sparking with my current testing, he can get pretty damn close. So a little bit of neutral followed by a full combo into the adult gohan snapback is a good way to pretty much always be playing level 1 gohan. Plus sets up the adult gohan/bardock fuzzy setup and leg loops and basically whatever you can imagine. You're level 1 gohan plus as hell in the corner, do whatever you want.
So if my gameplan goes through, gogeta kinda ends up being a mid.
I picked the game around 3 days ago and I spent around 10 hours labbing. These videos are incredibly informative and have helped me a ton. Subbed. Definitely checking all the other videos of the characters I want to test out.

Gogeta oki after level 3 is pretty good because of his full screen command grab. I normally delay slightly then do it so it hits them just as they get up. Then if they start suspecting it mix it up with run in souls strike. I don’t normally play GT Goku because I can’t get good enough with actually playing him, but I bet if you called his assist a fraction of a second before doing the command grab, it would hit them if they jumped up to avoid the grab. Meaning they’re only option I see is wake up level 3 which isn’t favourable or jump and try to quickly block the assist. I think this is something I’ll mess around with in practice mode
Now that I've played much S3 Gogeta on point, this guide is my new bible.
Not sure if anybody's mentioned this, but a cool little detail about his stand-heavy is that it has deceptive reach. He teleports a short distance if he's far enough away.

I absolutely love your DBFZ content (especially your let's learn DBFZ series which I have watched all of and taken notes on each video in an effort to improve myself), and I really hope you continue to produce it. I just now noticed that you haven't made a guide for Teen Gohan yet (I noticed because a friend told me that he was his favorite character) and was hoping you would do so in the near future. Regardless, keep up your amazing work educating the FGC, and helping us improve as players.
I have yet to do anything on Teen Gohan or Hit yet. Honestly they never interested me. Perhaps one day I will but I just never liked how they play.

I'm running this character as anchor, with Blueku on point and ss Goku in the assist slot. I had adult Gohan as my anchor before, but this character seems like a good alternative. He has a lot of stuff he can do solo, phenomenal damage output, and a lot of the tools Gohan has, such as a strictly better beam and DP
It should be noted that his assist is an airborne attack so it loses to anything head invul

KingAfrica nah he still has time to punish with down heavy assuming they are always in the corner. He will condition you to waste your jumps and air dash till your fucked. The brain can react so much. It’s all about reads and how you react. But vanish always work to punish cell/gogeta. So yeah a good full screen command grab can stop them from running away. “I’ll use assist shut up bro” but bro some assist have startups and beam assist still have to reach other side. Again it’s all about read. I know your smart enough to understand this.

I know it’s a bit early yet but I love Gogeta and think he’s top of mid, maybe top tier. Gogeta is one of if not my favourite characters in dragon ball and ArcSys did my man justice. He’s got some great tools but I don’t think he’s cheap or OP or dirty or anything. I hope that in the eventual balance patch he doesn’t get nerfed because I think he’s in a good place.
Gogeta is alright. Gogeta still has nothing on bardock/kid buu/gt goku sadly.

I found that his corner combos synergize very, VERY well with beam assists and wall bounce assists for added damage and keeping combos lower to the ground. For example, I run him with Goku SSJ and base, and in a normal corner combo, I'll hit the double beam, and trigger SSJs beam assist just as I hit the galic gun, which keeps my opponent from bouncing up to high, but still let's me super dash in, follow up with another light, medium into auto combo finish, a third beam, and a light, medium medium wrecka string, and then I pop base Goku right before we touch the ground and move into a dragon rush, and if I have a TON of bar, move into god punisher with the Stardust extension, an upwards super Kamehameha, and literally JUST as the first hit from that registers (to soon and you whiff, to late and you miss), hit the spirit bomb and pull like, 8900 damage out of my ass. The most I got off a corner combo with that ender was like, 9300 or something? My alternate ender is instead of dragon rush, hit the heavy vortex, and the second they get launched move into big bang Kamehameha, and tag super from there.
actually i think his assist is a little underrated and it DOES NOT wallbounce EVERY time. i just uploaded 2 simple combo extensions with his assist for android 21 and in one of them, his assist just hold the oponent in place like ssj vegeta, or yamcha assist. i think if you time it properly, his assist offers way more than expected.

Just a public service warning. There's a big ol' gap in Gogeta's light auto-combo. If the first tow hits are blocked and you go for the third, (the overhead) you can be jabbed out. I was testing it in practice, literally just testing his block strings, and yeah. 16 jabs him out.
In an actual match I caught him with a down heavy. So be aware of that. Cool as the leap frog thing is, if you're seen doing it you night get down heavyd.
Gogeta is tall but he isn't tall at the same time. In the movie I'd say he's around 6'0, 6'1. And Janemba I'd say is 8'0. Strange that their height in Fighterz are on par with each other.

Question about multiplex afterimage. How do you use the center beam attack?
There are 3 afterimages. You explained the superjump install for the top image. the reg Kamehameha is the bottom image. But I've seen people use the center image for the beam as well...
Correct me if I'm wrong but I'm positive I've seen it
So I figured it out.
Input=ground Kamehameha
Input +back= air Kamehameha
input+ Up =Galick Gun
Hold S to cancel and back/up to appear in that position.

The only assists I’ve found that are really notably useful other than pressure are janemba and Gotenks because they let medium rekka hit mid screen - my 2 cents
I was atleast glad the character didn't have some absurd autocombo like Bardock or Vegito and his normals have high recovery so it's isn't as frustrating for my opponent or for me when i play as or against as the Unga Bunga is less common.
But holly shit the tracking and distance of his medium rekka is crazy. That is definitely going to tilt some people especially with how safe it is aswell.
I also think his beam + assist is a braindead neutral tool like lariat or ex orb. Especially since it can cover the air.
I'm very happy he didn't edit out the low battery on the Dual Shock lmao

Hey does anyone know how he did the combo w/ Gogeta at 27:40, where after the j.H, the opponent falls and he went for a couple auto light attacks that hit? I've tried to do a similar combo, but could never get the light attacks to hit. What do i do to get the light attacks to hit?
Its just timing, gotta follow the combo exactly as its done. Check the companion combo guide for more info and notations.
Slightly delay your heavy after the superdash so the enemy is a bit closer to the ground, then there is also a timing for hitting your stand light so that means don't mash! I don't recommend to do this combo online it is very tricky and I am not sure if it works on the entire cast

What's the difference between superjump install and tiger knee?
they can be the same thing, as it is in the situation in the video. Generally speaking the tiger knee is to do something as low to the ground as possible, in any fighting game. For this the superjump install is tricking the game into believing you are in a superjump when you do the move, so you retain air control while falling. There are examples of superjump installs that have nothing to do with tiger knees though, they just overlap in this case.
It is basicly the same, but you Usually call something tigerknee when you do an air only special move that is different than your grounded special move(A-gohan his machingun comes out with tigerknee otherwise you get his Uppercut.)
But with gogeta his beam it is the same special. Not only that, because you can actually make use of the superjump install.

Gogeta is not simple , he has a lot of weird things that don't just work. Also he has the Kamehameha cancels and weird jump cancels for his bnb. He's good sure but he isn't straight forward
