- One line of argumentation that has emerged through various statements from characters like Ginjo, Yhwach, and Tsukishima, is that Fullbring Ichigo should be stronger than his Dangai form after he leaves to prepare himself to fight Aizen. I personally disagree with these statements, and believe that while fullbring Ichigo is strong, he still has a ways to go before he would reach his true strength that he once had in his dangai form once again. Hopefully this video provides an adequate explanation.

I forgot to mention this, but there is also NO WAY for Tsukishima or Ginjo to know how strong Dangai Ichigo was considering his transcendent spiritual pressure and how not even Aizen could detect him.
To this day Mugetsu,Dangai and HOS are Ichigos strongest transformations imo. Also underrated channel you deserve more views and subs

i can make a case that since tatsuki,keigo and mizuiro[ichigos friends] were present when transcended aizen fought dangai ichigo and they felt their reiatsu tsukishima can use his book of the end to properly gauge ichigos fullbring growth and compare his power level accurately
Obviously dangai Ichigo is wayy stronger than full bring Ichigo. The narrative supports this. FB ichigo’s reitasu could be sensed by fodder like the lieutenants. Dangai Ichigo was supposed to be a special thing. I think the arguments just come from people misunderstanding some statements from the war arc.

We have previously seen Ichigo recuperating his lost powers, and surpassing his previous level; the end of Substitute Shinigami is a great example (also by extension the Reigai story), so him gaining a weaker power doesn’t make sense.
While Dangai and Mugetsu transcend everything during FKT, they are only that strong in that arc, since several characters reach that level of strength as seen in Reigai, SAFWY, Lost Agent, and onwards.
Transcendence is just a level of power during a specific story. This is the list of characters who are also transcendent:
Academy eras Jushiro and Shunsui
Yoruichi 100 years before SS
Yama during SS
Grimmjow vs Ichigo 1st fight
Kenpachi SAFWY & TYBW
White FB Ichigo
Kageroza Inaba
Ichibe’s bankai
Soul King
Non of these characters are in the same league of strength, yet they are transcendent. They can be surpassed later on
Mugetsu is still referred as a shinigami power, despite being transcendent. There are multiple scenes during TLA that reference Ichigo’s lost soul reaper powers, and mugetsu is shown
Would you consider doing something along the lines of establishing where Aizen sits in terms of levels of power as a Shinigami before fusing with Hogyoku. Like if he believes the only way forward is the Hogyoku does that mean he thinks he is stronger than Yamamoto and Ichibe, when that is clearly not the truth. What i mainly am interested in is how strong he is compared to Yamamoto he faced in fake Karakura, could he have defeated Yama's Shikai or if he would have lost to it.
Your point about "mistranslations" is a self defeating one since you admit Viz isn’t the most accurate with translations. You dismiss the statement that Ichigo achieving Fullbring is gaining the power beyond a soul reaper as simply adding it to his existing power while affirming that 3rd and 4th fusion Aizen "transcendes hollows and soul reapers" when I can use the same logic to dismiss that. Kubo doesn’t need to say that Ichigo is becoming as strong as he was, Kubo doesn’t write like that, basic shonen power progression is a thing in Bleach, in the next arc the main character becomes stronger, do you think SS2 is stronger than SS3? The fact that Tsukishima knows at all about 4th fusion Aizen is the argument, not that he was there. He dominates Kilge in his Shikai and wasn’t threatened at all by him, Yhwach defeating Fullbring Ichigo only proves that Yhwach is stronger than 4th Aizen, again shonen power progression. Dangai Ichigo DOES NOT defeat 5th fusion Aizen, Mugetsu does, and Ichibe is shown to have the full power over the concept of names and is shown to be able to negate spiritual pressure, this isn’t surprising since Kyoraku’s Bankai has the power to lower a persons power level acting as a direct counter to the way Bleach usually handles fights. Just because the people sent to fight Ichigo aren’t as strong as him doesn’t disprove how strong he is. Ichigos Fullbring Shinigami powers not being his is a moot point.
A case for Fullbring Ichigo being superior comes from a combination of statements from the manga Js statements from the novels. Death Saves the Strawberry and Can’t Fear Your Own World. As well as the anime where during the moment when Ginjo mentioned that the Substitute Badge absorbs and analyzes Ichigo’s power, it specifically shows Ichigo going from Dangai to Final Getsuga Tensho
It’s been constantly stated in the manga that the badge absorbs both the spiritual energy and memories from Ichigo’s previous battles from when he got the badge until he beat Aizen, so it’s the same power he’s drawing on.
His Complete Fullbring was stated to be transcendent and surpass Shinigami.
In the Death Saves the Strawberry Novel it was stated in a conversation between Rukia and Urahara that the purpose of the blade used to restore Ichigo’s powers in the Fullbring Arc is to bring him back to the level before he lost it
You could argue against it by saying ‘Urahara can’t sense his reiatsu and doesn’t know how strong he was’
But that’s countered by 1.) The Badge absorbing and analyzing Ichigo’s power through scientific means rather than relying on their senses, with someone like Mayuri who’s inferior to Urahara being able to construct tech that can restrain and suppress TYBW Aizen who’s stronger than Mugetsu Ichigo and his FKT self due to scaling to Yhwach
2.) Urahara himself being there to witness the fight and gauge power based on his intelligence, like how he gauged that Aizen was stronger in the TYBW than his FKT power
3.) Yhwach stating that Ichigo regained the ‘elevated power’ he used to defeat Aizen and the panel showing Ginjo. Elevated power being the specific words, showing that it’s a level of power and not simply just Shinigami powers
4.) Bankai Ginjo in CFYOW who didn’t get any stronger than he was in the Fullbring Arc being strong enough to fight and/or kill Hikone according to the Narrator and Tokinada, with the narrator also stating that Hikone is someone that CFYOW Aizen who’s relative to or stronger than TYBW Aizen would need to be serious to defeat, and that version of Aizen is stronger than Mugetsu Ichigo Then Fullbring Bankai Ichigo also being relative to or stronger than this version of Ginjo
As for how someone stronger than Mugetsu would ‘struggle’ air quotes with people, it’s the same reason why True Shikai Ichigo who’s also stronger than the Soul King ‘struggled’ with regular Sternritter weaker than the one FB Bankai Ichigo fought…suppressing his power and conserving it for future battles.
As for why he struggled with Yhwach, Yhwach stated he surpassed the Soul King already, and seeing as how someone cloning him and not fully scaling to his base power was relative to Yama, it isn’t inconsistent
People would also bring up Ichibei beating on Yhwach, but Ichibei specifically did that after using hax to conceptually alter Yhwach’s stats and name etc, not just fully brawling while going all out on Yhwach’s end

I always thought Dangai form was > his new bankai form. The one where he hollowfies.and that if he trained that bankai form he could theoretically make that bankai form stronger than his Dangai form.
What? True Bankai solos. It's literally revealed that His old Bankai, Vasto Lorde, Dangai and Mugetsu were just A FRACTION of his true power. Then Old man Zangetsu gave him HIS true Power in the tybw. So this means True Shikai> Mugetsu>> Dangai>> Fullbring Bankai>> Fullbring Shikai> Vasto Lorde
